Ivy Bank Studio is an attached studio room of Ivy Cottage. It is independent from the main Cottage. Which itself was built in 1795 from local stone. It is situated on a private no through road, located directly in front of the Gem Rock museum and cafe. The location of the studio room in Creetown offers excellent outdoor views across to Cairnsmore Hill and also across to Wigtown Bay. Creetown itself is a welcoming tourist village ideal for those wishing to explore Dumfries & Galloway.
“Mary was a brilliant host and we had a lovely stay. The studio was modern and comfortable with an outstanding view. The studio is located perfectly to do some star gazing at Galloway forest too! Wigtown nearby is also a great place for walks and exploring. The lane to the studio is a little narrow for turning around your car in but you can just reverse into the lane or reverse out of it as I did, alternatively there is parking on the next road opposite with is basically an extension of the lane.”
Escape to the stunning Galloway hills and enjoy a relaxing break on the outskirts of the rural town of Newton Stewart, with countless opportunities to explore this unspoiled area of natural beauty. This cosy hideaway is situated in our brand new Scandi style home which was only finished in June 2016.
“Janice is a great host, very friendly. She directed us to a nice walk around. The house is beautiful with nice big windows. The place is only few minutes drive to a dark sky view point, but even from the rear garden the view is incredible.”
Small but perfectly formed one bedroom cottage located in a quiet village in the grounds of and Old Manse. We are one mile from the coast and the larger village of Port William where you can find local amenities. Ideal for a couple, we can also provide a cot/cot bed if required. We welcome dogs with well behaved owners!
“Arlene gets top marks for being a very welcoming and attentive host. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and tea and coffee with milk in the fridge. We loved the real fire and cloud like down quilt with feather pillows. Throughout our stay, Arlene was there for advice and inclusive extras like fresh local eggs, kindling and logs for the fire. Highly recommended.”
