Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Government of Amsterdam

Cleo and her Co-host Marleen were very welcoming and responsive. We felt at home. Lots of toys and games for younger children. Very cozy house. Naturally beautiful area good for hiking and biking.

We had a great time at the cottage in Landsmeer! Everything was great – the house was very clean, well equipped and cozily furnished. The location is quiet yet close to Amsterdam which was perfect for excursions. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We felt completely comfortable and would be happy to come back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Magical Stay on the Water! Staying at this river Airbnb in Amsterdam was hands down one of the most unique and unforgettable experiences of my travels. The location is beyond dreamy — right on the water, with stunning views of the canal life drifting by. Waking up to the gentle ripple of the river and sipping coffee on the deck felt like something out of a movie. ✨ The interior was cozy, stylish, and spotless — you can tell the hosts put a lot of love into making the space warm and welcoming. Every little detail, from the plush bedding to the curated local decor, made it feel like a true home away from home. The hosts were absolute gems — super communicative, thoughtful, and even left us a welcome gift with local treats . They gave us great recommendations for places to eat and explore, and made check-in a breeze. Being gently rocked to sleep on the river, then waking up to swans gliding past the window… I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Amsterdam

Beautiful house and garden, very peaceful and quiet with a very friendly cat!

Noortje's house is really charming, very clean, practical and even prettier than in the photos. We were 5 people and made us feel very comfortable there. The bus stop is right next to the house, it allows to quickly get to the center of Amsterdam (in less than 10 min) but also to easily radiate in the area (Edam, Volendam, Marken). Note: a fairly busy road close to the house but it was not really disturbing.

Johanna's house is lovely and homey! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The area is calm and well connected to the centre and the house has everything you might need! Thank you for having us!

We enjoyed our week here. We know the Netherlands well so used it to explore, this time with our dog. It’s handy for Amsterdam - circa 30 mins to the south end of the Vondelpark via walking/ tram. All the main routes are also accessible. If you don’t have a car expect to walk quite a bit to get anywhere. Recommend the Quarter-beach for meals and also the brewery next to the nearest windmill for drinks/snacks. The house itself is simple but met our expectations.

Birgit was a fantastic host! Her home was perfect for our quick trip to Amsterdam. It is located close to public transportation (less then 10 minutes to Centraal Station) and a grocery story is around the corner. Birgit showed us around her place and explained how to use different features of the house. She helped map out the easiest routes around the city for us. She was always available and super friendly. We had a great time and cannot wait to visit again.

Jorrit was a fantastic host, he was super helpful. accommodating and friendly and always quick to respond. We had been let down last minute by another airbnb host so felt very lucky to find Jorrit's apartment. We loved staying in his beautiful place and would happily stay here again. There's a lovely roof terrace which is a great spot to sit and watch the world go by, when it's not raining! The local shops are very good with some delicious little delis and coffee spots and it's easy to get out and about from this location. Highly recommend! : )

The De Pjip neighborhood is so cool and this rental is near many of the best spots: the Albert Cuyp market, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, so many restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is modern and comfortable. Having a washer AND A DRYER! was fantastic! We loved having Alexa play whatever we requested while we relaxed after busy days of being a tourist. We would love to come back to this rental!

We had a lovely stay at Tijmen's spacious home which is ideally located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, yet still just a short walk to the museum campus, Vondelpark and several other sites. Tijmen was a wonderful host who provided very clear instructions and guidance on restaurants and sites in the area. The flat was clean and the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed relaxing with wine and snacks in the sun on the rooftop deck. Like most flats in Amsterdam, you need to climb stairs to get to the flat (and the deck), but it is well worth it!

Our host provided clear, precise check in instructions and directions to the apartment using public transportation. Good location, walkable to many restaurants, nearby grocery and outdoor market. We enjoyed evenings on the balcony over looking the canal at sunset. We look forward to returning to Amsterdam and would stay here again.

What a great stay! I had a last minute opportunity to head to Amsterdam to join my parents on vacation…their hotel was sold out, so I was on my own. I found this gem about a mile from City Center, super accessible by foot or tram to everything! Thank goodness Jorrit was there to greet me and help with my heavy suitcase…the stairs (2 flights) were SUPER narrow on the treads (seems to be the case everywhere in the city) and about as wide as my suitcase. But once upstairs, the place was exactly as described…plus a lovely welcome basket with Dutch treats! I was prepared for no AC, but there was a recent heatwave so it was hottt. But it cooled down and was beeezy with the windows open and fans on. Very safe neighborhood, and even a pub within 100 steps (but not noisy or rowdy). The kitchen was well stocked, so I saved on things like salt and pepper and EVOO and basics. Jorrit gave lots of GREAT recs on where to go & what to do. A super stay and I’d definitely rent here again! Thanks!

A beautiful house in a stunning location!

Don't have a bad word to say about the place. From the moment I booked the host was very responsive, gave us helpful suggestions for local amenities and online shopping. Was there to greet us and welcome us to her lovely home. The house is beautiful and is set in beautiful surroundings close enough to Amsterdam to enjoy the city but also enjoy the peace outside of it. Murielle was responsive enough to be available whenever we needed without being overbearing. If I was travelling back to Amsterdam with a large group I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Lovely location; the owner’s family live next door and are very welcoming and friendly! Wander Island is a really good restaurant. Lake is wonderful. Only 30 mins from Amsterdam by Park and Ride.

My family of 5 had a wonderful time at this home! It was beautiful, clean, relaxing and extremely convenient to get around town via bus/metro. We walked every morning around town because the town is extremely charming with several restaurants and a market 2 blocks away. I made breakfast every morning in the beautiful kitchen which had everything one would need. The host was so incredibly amazing, he tracked my flight and knew I would be arriving hours before I told him I would be so he was waiting for us which was amazing after a long flight. He was so sweet, courteous and caring. We were greeted with a warm welcome and many, many treats for us in the refrigerator. From eggs, milk, selection of fresh breads, sweets, fruit, wine, a delicious pear juice, selection of deli meats, butter, and many more items. The warmest welcome we’ve ever received. As if that’s not enough, the AC worked great! The pics don’t do it justice. This is a must stay! Thank you so much for everything!!
