What a beautiful property. It was well equipped for everything you could need, a comfy bed and lovely fresh linen. The location is good, only a few mins walk into the village. Whilst there’s no parking onsite, this was manageable with a parking spot less than 50m away. This property is decorated beautifully.

We had a lovely few days here. The cottage was more spacious than it looks in the listing and had everything we needed for a few days. The cottage is on a busy road but parking wasn't an issue and we didn't find road noise a problem but if you have a dog that reacts to passing people/traffic it probably isnt the place for you. the garden is enclosed and nicely laid out. Aurora was a helpful and responsive host. There are good dog friendly options for eating out in walking distance. Great Ayton is a great base for exploring the local area there are lots of options for walking nearby as well as not being far from the coast.

This place is exactly as described and as per the photos. We had to check in a little later due to a family emergency but it was no problem at all. The lodge was clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a stay. The hot tub was amazing and Donna was really friendly and recommended some great places to visit. A great place to stay and highly recommended!

Booked Johns place for myself and my daughter as we were visiting relatives over Easter period and it was perfect! Great location in the centre of the village but also felt very private! I loved that you could hear the nearby river and weir from the patio area. Lots of great places to eat and drink in the village. The accommodation was spotless and everything was in perfect condition and working. John is available if required but very much respects your privacy. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anybody. 👍
