Thank you so much Stuart for making the first stage of Hadrian’s Wall path such a delight. This was the perfect base in Carlisle, with comfy bed and excellent bed to soak in after a long walk. Your directions were so helpful and flexibility on both check-out and in with walking bags was much appreciated. I also really enjoyed all of the info materials and made use of these (reading the Carlisle Castle book prompted my visit). Looking forward to coming back for future walks!

Ruth’s cottage was delightful, comfortable and provided the perfect home base for exploring the area. The historic village of Brampton is charming with pubs, fresh produce shops, delicious Indian food, fish & chips, and ice cream all within walking distance. The house location is convenient and quiet with adequate parking. The interior of the cottage is cozy and thoughtfully decorated, with a well-equipped kitchen. Many walking footpaths are accessible directly outside the village, while an assortment of destinations are easily accessible by car. Ruth was available and responsive for support when requested. Thank you for a great experience!

Thank you Pippa and Bradley for making our 2025 New Year magical. The cottage is lovely and met our needs perfectly. However the best thing about this cottage is the location. We absolutely loved the solitude and peacefulness, hopefully not too disturbed by us. Would highly recommend this cottage if peace and quiet is what you are after. We should also add that despite staying over New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Pippa and Bradley were awesome hosts who made us feel really welcome and properly looked after. Thank you again for making our stay so wonderful.

It's a lovely little spot right in the centre of Brampton. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and Heather was very responsive. We had a little difficulty parking on the street with our van, but did manage to thanks to a friendly neighbour. Thank you!
