A tranquil and homely retreat away from the hustle and bustle, with wonderful hosts and a special guest appearance each morning from Penny the gorgeous dog! A great spot to stay for a weekend away, and Judith is a lovely host.

Our stay couldn’t have been any better. From the moment of booking Alison’s communication was impeccable, she was friendly and accommodating. We were able to find the accommodation with ease and were met with a warm welcome by Alison who showed us to the space and told us what we needed to know. The accommodation which is set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside provided a beautiful and comfortable, home away from home in a tranquil space. The set up provided a wonderful space for our dog to have space to run around in a safe space which she loved. Although having her own dogs, Alison’s set up is perfect for dogs who need their own space which allows your 4 legged friends to enjoy their stay as much as you. The accommodation was impeccably clean and provided everything we could have needed. This along with recommendations and information about the local area added to our experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying in The Little House and look forward to staying again.

Lovely air BnB! Kept super clean and tidy! Got everything you need! Even some lovely extra left by Cormac and Helen (cake, bread, milk , butter etc). Super friendly hosts, checking if we need anything. Good location, driving distance from York and beautiful scenic walks. Throughly enjoyed staying here!

The Den was a great find and we were very lucky to be able to book a last minute short stay there. Super easy to get to. The Den is private and very peaceful, comfortable sleeping pods, fully equipped kitchen, lovely big bath with bath salts provided. The outdoor space is great with plenty room, totally private, BBQ (sadly not the weather for BBQing for us) but would be perfect on a hot summers night. Wood fired hot tub was lovely to relax in after a long drive. The Den was spotlessly clean and the hosts left a lovely welcome basket with wine, chocolate, coffee, milk and crisps, a lovely and very thoughtful touch. We wish we could have stayed longer, a beautiful part of the world and lots to do in the area. We will be back and would 100% recommend this place.
