Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Iowa City

Tamara was extremely kind, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. She left food for us to eat after our long drive, and donuts for breakfast. Her property was so welcoming, comfortable and clean. Our dogs loved her fenced backyard. I couldn’t have asked for a better getaway place to wind down.

We found a couple broken utensils and let him know, he was apprentice of us telling him so he could replace for future guests. He was very responsive and friendly. Always love dog friendly places so we can travel with our "kid!" Nick's place was spacious but cozy and we had a great time just hanging out as a family, playing games and celebrating the holidays over a long weekend!

This was our first ever AirBnB stay and it didn’t disappoint! This cute and charming little home was perfect for our family of 5 and dog. To be honest, it was pricier than it was worth for us, only because we barely spent any time there. Most of our time was spent with family off site. But, we knew that would be the case going into it. We would make one suggestion, to add optional foam mattress toppers in the rooms. All of the beds are very, very firm. But, we would rent this again! Great overall experience and great communication with the hosts! Thank you!

James’ place was clean and cozy. It was cold and snowy when we stayed, but the back yard looked amazing. It was wonderful for our trip to Cedar Rapids.

This beautifully decorated house has tons of room and a great layout. The beds were very comfortable and everyone could be together and still have their own space. It was very clean and the host was excellent - quick responses to any questions and great communication. We would definitely stay here again!

Dan let us check in early, and stay another night! That was an absolute life saver in both events. The house was so cute and comfy for our stay. We brought our Puggle Cooper, and the gated back yard was so nice for him to be able to sit on the back patio in the sun and run around the yard as well. We will definitely book again when we are back in tne area. 10/10 we recommend!

This was the perfect get away for a mother/daughter weekend. Little town nearby with a Casey's gas, dollar tree, family dollar, and dollar general. Which made us giggle because the 3 stores are all in one spot. My only minor complaint is the ac/heater combo. The heat would kick on and off every few minutes. It was loud when running. Just when you adjust to it running, it would shut off. As a white noise person, I didn't mind it on, but couldn't sleep with its erratic on/off. Almost no cell service which was fine by me. I didn't mind disconnecting from the internet. I had predownloaded books to listen to.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Kids especially enjoyed the loft. We had a very busy schedule and had a great time in Iowa

The place had everything we needed. The property was very well maintained. The walking paths were fun and even a possible sighting of a very large being!!! The pool and pool house was incredible spent 5 hours in the water and our Autistic daughter loved it. Because it's salt water she didn't complain of the chemical smells. The event buildings all were really big, so able to accommodate any kind of gathering you may need!! Was truly contactless and all the facilities and amenities were readilyavailable. We loved our long weekend get away

Dan's place was exceptional. It was exactly as described, and it was pretty cool being in this neat house in rural Iowa. I was traveling from Chicago, so I didn't get this experience every day. The indoor decoration was extensive and incredible. It's not every day you get to live in an accommodation with Pac-Man, arcade games, or a giant TV. It also had a beer tap, and a lot of thought and care was put into the construction of this place. The one thing though is that there are fish in the pool, and one of the fish nibbled on me when I went into the water. This wasn't a big deal, though something you should be aware of in advance.

The ranch was very nice and cozy. Check in and check out was simple and easy to understand. It was the perfect stop for our travels. If we come through the area again we will definitely stay at the ranch again!

Absolutely somewhere great for a little glamp trip. This is our second time in the last few months this staying over there and it is perfect for our fam with our pup. The spot is perfect and host is wonderful with quick communication

This was the 2nd or 3rd time I booked Julie's place for family visiting from out of town. The location is both convenient to downtown Iowa City and my neighborhood. It's been great to be able to set family up with a cozy place to stay when they visit. Julie is a wonderful host who is always responsive to our needs. Thanks again!

Great recently renovated and well-furnished home close to downtown. Only 3 minutes for my commute to the hospital. Had the most complete kitchen I have seen in an Airbnb. Would definitely stay again next time I am in town.

We were all so happy with Boyson House. It was close to our event that weekend and to my daughter's house. The space had just what we needed! I was so pleased to have the very large fenced in area for my dog to run free! I wasn't expecting that size of a fenced in area. She got some good exercise there. I also appreciated the laundry room area just as we entered so Cricket could feel like she was a part of what we were doing without being under our feet. Her crate fit well in there - so much space. The beds were comfortable and it was so nice to have different areas to sit and chat. I recommend this place!

Great local townhome in the Coralville area that looked recently remodeled. The 3 bedrooms on two levels gave excellent and private sleeping options, and with comfortable living room spaces on both levels. Within a mile and walkable to grocery, restaurants & shopping including the Coralville mall. It was perfect for our needs, and more spacious and affordable than hotels. The full kitchen was fairly well stocked with appliances with plenty of seating opening into the living room. My only caution is that the stairs to the finished lower level were open, so something to watch if you have very small kids. Thanks for making this available!
