Michael’s AirBNB known as BV is a charming open floor plan cabin with two levels. Downstairs is a bedroom, kitchen, and TV with a smart DVD player and good WiFi. Upstairs are three bedrooms just as charming as the rest of the place, making you feel like you’re staying with family for summer break in their log cabin by the creek. All the ammenities from the shower to the grill worked and were maintained well. You could find a weekend of things to do without ever leaving the driveway, but if you do go out, you’re 30 minutes from a quaint little town that loves to hold tons of roadside sales or just over an hour from Lexington if malls and tourist attractions are more your flow. Competitively priced for the amount of people it can host, I’ve already recommended a stay to family members who want to get away for a weekend with their kids.

Clean, quiet and comfortable place. Rustic but not primitive. We especially felt at home when Waffles and Muffin came to visit, we have 2 Anatolian shepherds plus several other happy tails that we missed while away. Wish we had a longer stay to explore the property.

Our family loved our time at the country cottage. From sunrises to sunsets, the views and fresh air filled our cups. We were greeted by the sweetest barn cat. Our boys loved watching the cows come home and the tractors at work. The cottage floor plan made the home feel spacious. 10/10 we hope to stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The home is very cozy and has all the basics to make your trip more relaxing. The grill didn't have any propane, however this was likely due to us being there during spring. We were able to use the fire pit and cook over that with the build in grill tray. Sharon was so sweet and extremely helpful. She helped us get the wifi fixed right away and went above and beyond as a host. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the horses graze and various species of birds sing in the morning. We went the the 33rd annual Mountain Mushroom festival in Irvine, KY, which was about 45 min away. The route to get there was scenic and all country roads. There is a Frostyette ice cream stand only 10 min away (make a left out of Durham School Rd and follow road till you see the sign). The food here is really good and reasonably priced.
