“We recently flew down to Austin for a night of quality live music; the next morning we hopped on Amtrak's Texas Eagle which transported us up to Fort Worth. Our goal was to visit two world-class museums (The Modern & Kimbell) designed by highly-acclaimed architects (Tadao Ando & Louis Kahn). During our visit we resided at Christopher's "Tree House." It is a spacious loft that was nicely designed and appointed with various mementos from what I presume to be Christopher's life as a musician. The location of his place was a totally unexpected gift; the home is part of the Fairmount Historic District, a neighborhood composed primarily of older Craftsman-style homes. The area is certainly coming to life. The main "drag" is Magnolia Avenue which is a wonderful collection of eateries, coffee shops and bars. Christopher's place is a very peaceful, comfortable location a short walk away from Magnolia. Did I mention that "squirrels" apparently are in "charge" of the neighborhood? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone interested in spending some in Fort Worth.”
