“Thump Cottage is a brilliant little stay with lots of little extras that most places don't in provide. The greeting from David & Janet was so friendly and their communication was spot on every time. The place is spotless and really well decorated. We were provided a mini hamper on arrival which was lush with Janet's AMAZING home made lemon drizzle cake it it. There are plenty of local walking areas in Kirkby Malzeard, as well as an abundance of local guides and maps provided in the cottage to help you about. There are board games, all the mod cons and the best kitchen you could ask for if you are in to your cooking. Plenty to do. Definitely a cottage not to be missed!”

“Outstanding! Had the best time during our 3 day New Years Stay at Woodpeckers Cottage. It is truly a home from home with every comfort considered and spotlessly clean. I couldn't think if a single thing that any guest could need that wasn't included. Fiona & Nigel have thought of everything. The homemade mince pies and cake was a lovely welcoming touch as well as the many additional extras in the kitchen incl milk, butter, condiments, oil, fresh eggs, tea, coffee etc. Add to that a cosy log burner, Netflicks on TV, comfy bed, near to many fabulous locations with hosts that go the extra mile for their guests. What else could anyone want? We could not recommend Woodpecker Cottage too highly and will definately be returning!”

“Lovely little cottage in the countryside, the kitchen is small but had everything we needed. It was absolutely freezing when we stayed but the cottage was nice and warm and it was very relaxing having the electric fire on in the bedroom looking out at the frost outside. Really lovely little cottage, if you're looking for somewhere rural and relatively secluded but not too far away from the lovely little towns of Harrogate or Ripon then this is a perfect choice.”
