Checkout is by 2:00 pm so you can relax and enjoy your stay. 😊 This is a room-only inn with rooms in a traditional Japanese house that have been renovated, located on a property surrounded by trees. There are no buildings within sight, and you can enjoy the sound of the river, the chirping of birds, and a sense of oneness with nature. The tap water is also spring water (it has been tested for water quality and is safe to drink). Depending on the season, there are sometimes people who come and go along the river next to the inn to enjoy activities in the river or to visit Kappa Falls (150 meters from the inn). If the weather is nice, you can also enjoy a barbecue or campfire (depending on the season and weather, we may ask you to refrain from doing so) with the food you bring. (Please be very careful when handling fire.) Rest assured that we also provide cooking utensils, a microwave, and dishes. 😊 Please make sure to bring food and drinks for dinner, etc., before check-in. (It takes about 20 minutes by car to the supermarket.) Since the section of road 400 meters from the accommodation is narrow and difficult to navigate, Once you arrive at "camu Tsubakiyama," we will drive you to the accommodation. We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home.
