Apartment vacation rentals in Lake Arenal

The room is clean, tidy and spacious. The mountain view is beautiful. Jan is a great host. He has six cute dogs and a huge garden. He made Dutch breakfast for us and talks about his life stories, which are inspirational. For arrival, I would recommend driving by an all wheel driven vehicle, and don’t arrive in the evening because there’s no light. Also, put the specific coordinates in google maps instead of the text address.

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

This is an excellent stay in Monteverde! We traveled with two adults and two young children and it had ample space for us, was very clean, and was easy to find. Everything was as described and was in a convenient location as it was a very short drive to the city center, supermarkets, and restaurants as well as a short, reasonable distance to various outdoor activities. Andrea is a super host and is very friendly, communicative, proactive, and helpful! Overall, I highly recommend this stay!

We had a very enjoyable stay with Thomas. The place is super equipped and extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and large. Thomas and his family are very accommodating and warm hosts. We would love to come back in the future and would recommend this place to anyone.

This place was very modern, clean and had everything I would need for a comfortable stay. The area itself felt safe as it was gated and it was very green with great views of the volcano just outside your doorstep. The hosts were extremely helpful and did everything they could to ensure that I felt comfortable as a solo traveller. They connected me with a trusted driver and gave me great recommendations for activities and restaurants. It’s only 5 minute cab trip to main town half hour if you’re walking. 5 minutes is about 6 dollars. This place comes very recommended if you’re interested in exploring la fortuna and its activities but want a bit of peace when you come home at night.

This place was perfect for the two of us. Each night we walked into town for dinner. They have a place to park a rental car behind the gate. I would recommend this to others.

Had such a lovely time at Nora’s place. Great location, easy to walk to grocery store and the park in center of town and restaurants. Our excursions mostly picked us up and had no problem finding the place. Very clean, we had everything we needed. Pool was lovely. Great volcano view. Will definitely return!

This place was had an absolutely stunning view of the sunset from the balcony. perfect for a glass of wine after a day of adventures. everyone we talked to during the check in and check out process was extremely kind and helpful. would stay again!

Gated community - very safe. A great home base to explore Monte Verde. Very quiet and peaceful. Take the paved road to the property that ends right near the address. The other road is unpaved. Thanks for a great stay! Look for taco station for a great family prepared meal (takeout or delivery).

Highly recommend staying with this host. Communication was forthright and accurate. The views are difficult to describe; one has to experience the place and then you will understand. Fantastic! Would rebook for sure!

We had an amazing stay at Myriam and Jorge's place. The place is beautiful, very comfortable, well equipped and has great views from bedrooms, kitchen and terrace. The instructions for both finding the place and checking in were very clear. Myriam and Jorge were easy to communicate with. The place is in a great location to visit all the Monteverde/ Santa Elena parks and activities. Loved that the coop was just across the street and that they were composting. Would definitely book again if i travel there again.

This was one of our favorite Airbnbs! Within our first hour there, we saw blue-crowned motmots, other large birds, and a coati roaming in the backyard. We came for the wildlife so we were over-the-moon happy! The place itself was very clean, peaceful, and comfortable. Some perks that people might think are odd - they provided plenty of towels, pillows, and extra blankets. We've stayed at several Airbnbs in Costa Rica and every place always seems to be short on these items! We rented a car which made it easy to go in and out of town. I'd say it's walking distance but we're grateful we had the car - you'd be walking up hills both ways no matter where you go in Santa Elena/Monteverde! We give this 5+ stars across the board. If we come again, we'd easily choose Diego's place again. Thank you for everything, we truly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place to stay in La Fortuna! To start off you get welcome by great host! They are very attentive and they help you out with anything you might need. I like that they were always available t answer my questions. Place is good because área is super peaceful and the place has a great view to the arenal volcano. Easy access to a mini market and restaurants nearby, plus it is also walkable to go to downtown La Fortuna. Overall, place was awesome, peaceful, clean, accesible, and access to Ubers was also a plus! Highly highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it :)

Spotless place, near downtown, thought in comfort. Soft beds, a/c in the ratings only but in the living room and kitchen a fan. The jacuzzi is a success, I would definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend it for people looking for a clean, delicate and central place. You can see Grettel's commitment to make her guests feel very good.

It's a unique and spectacular place. Impeccable attention. The place is even nicer than the pictures. The decor is beautiful and with great attention to detail. The green area is large; ideal for dogs.

We really liked the facilities, the host was very attentive and willing to help with any questions that were made. I would go back to the place without thinking about it. Worth the price.

Beautiful apartment and great location. Everything was modern, clean, and worked well. Huge, comfortable bed. Elvis was extremely responsive and helpful. He was able to provide detailed answers regarding the entertainment in the region and modify tours for me without issue. The night tour was a 2 min walk from the apartment and provided an incredible experience. Only negatives are the hot tub takes forever to fill up (2+ hours) and it can be quite loud if there is wind/rain outside due to roof structure.

Words cannot accurately describe our feelings about this place. We have stayed at our fair share of airbnbs, and this was our favorite yet!!! Pristine, beautifully designed house in the most magical mountainous setting. We enjoyed the sunset almost every night from the hot tub and didn’t want to leave it! The hosts were very responsive to questions and gave clear and helpful instructions for getting to the property, which is much appreciated in an area like Monteverde. We already can’t wait to come back! Thank you!!!

We loved our stay in one of the deluxe bungalows. The outside porch area with jacuzzi was perfect and where we hung out most of the time when not exploring. Lots of birds visiting. The jacuzzi was especially great when it was pouring rain in the evenings, just had to make sure to turn it on before we left for the day so that it was nice and warm when we got back. The only thing to note is that you’re not likely to get a hot shower, water was lukewarm, but it was not a problem for us. We would come back to stay here if ever in the area again.
