Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Arenal

This was our second visit and it was just as amazing as the first time we stayed here last year - possibly even better! We felt so immersed in nature and loved being in the hot tub with a glass of wine in the evening listening to all the sounds of the rainforest. Being able to have a dip in the shared swimming pool was a big bonus. Such a beatiful place, we hope to be back again soon!

Gerardo was a great host. The best in a long time since I've been traveling. He was super helpful, gave us great tips for the area, proactively supported us in planning our activities and even provided me with a guide for a hike. The place was also mega great and in the evening we could even watch toucans on the tree across the street. Just perfect 😊

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful place surrounded by nature. We loved the garden, hot tub and bbq area. Amilcar and his wife were so friendly and helpful a during our stay. It’s a perfect place for a couple or a four person trip. The internet was excellent, we worked online all week with no issues. Thank you to Amilcar for your hospitality! We will be back :)

From the beginning communication was prompt and clear. They were always very attentive. It was easy to get there and locate us. The chalet was very clean and everything felt very comfortable. The Jacuzzi area is very relaxing, surrounded by nature and relaxing. We had a great time.

If paradise exists, it would probably be this place Everything was absolutely perfect. Very responsive host. Good amenities in the accommodation, and very nice little touches. Accessible from the city in Santa Elena in less than 10min drive with all the necessary shops. The highlight of the show is obviously in the view of the accommodation. It's just breathtaking. We will be happy to return, longer this time, during our next trip to Costa Rica.

Beautiful property and location. Easy access to La Fortuna and all of the excursions we did. Joselyn was quick to answer any questions we had. If we came back to La Fortuna we would stay here again.

Mauricio’s house was lovely, nestled into private jungle greenery but within walking distance to La Fortuna! We saw a blue Jean frog one night, a Jesus lizard, and lots of birds and wildlife during our stay. Highly recommend this home. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Such an enchanting and comfortable place to stay.

This place is just magical. Beautiful, secluded house with out-of-this-world views. The cosy porch, the horses, the walking trails, hummingbirds all around, comfy beds, and all the details inside make it a unique experience. We had a hard time leaving after 4 nights. Big recommendation!

Close to all amenities, great view of the volcano. Hard to find a place with a king size bed so that was a bonus. Cute little place.

A peaceful and private location surrounded by nature, just a short drive from the city center and nearby hot springs. We especially enjoyed having our coffee and fruit on the porch. The decoration is truly unique, and staying with family made it even more special, as each of us found a space that resonated with us. The apartment is well-equipped, full of charm, and has a warm, home-like feel.

Silvia was super welcoming and the place was even better than we had expected. She had so many recommendations and we felt right at home. It can be a bit distant from La Fortuna, but is also private with trails out back (we saw a little papaya farm and some cows). Do not hesitate. This is the place to stay! Pura vida <3

The place was peaceful, had lots of great walking trails with great birds, frogs and cool bugs. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook at home. The garden and pool area was very clean. The pool is beautiful. Highly recommend!

A great place to come back to while exploring La Fortuna!

Really nice place but we didn't get the "revised" check in codes until less than 24 hours prior to check in so since we were already traveling.... we didn't get them until we were at the house and trying to figure out how to get in... As stated in the review though, the house is simple and nice. Clean and right by a river :)

A beautiful and private place, ideal for enjoying or relaxing

Very beautiful cottage. For nature lovers, this is what you need.

We had a great stay at Cristina‘s Cabin, although too short. It was the ideal place for us to rest and unwind after our trip on the way back to the airport. Cristina and her family were super nice, the farm and nature are incredible and we could do some short hikes and had a beautiful sunset. The home itself was more modern than it looked on the pictures. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing experience with genuine and extremely professional & friendly hosts. They get a 20 star rating. Make sure to do the night hike and also dinners. Jay is extremely knowledgeable and Nohelia’s cooking is to die for.

As a return customer this is a great value and the view is impeccable.

Everything is great, we will be happy to come back, very great view, great balcony, everything very clean and prepared with love. Without 4x4 a little difficult to get back up the hill, but it worked out and Andres was really very helpful. Highly recommended, we would have liked to have stayed longer ☺️

EL SOL is extraordinarily beautiful! It's hard to describe how special it is- the gorgeous natural surroundings, the wonderful food, the unique and refreshing pool and the beautiful mountains surrounding the area. I could have stayed a long time and regret that our stay was so short. Thank you Susanne and Javier for such a wonderful time and the attention and love you have put into EL SOL! We will be back!

Cosy cottage. Excellent for a few days of relaxing if you have been travelling for quite a while. With taxis and uber is it easy to get there, even you don‘t have your own car. Very good communication with the host.
