A lovely, simple spacious property, well located one block from the park in La Fortuna. Everything was easily walkable, including restaurants/sodas and food stores. Marvin responded quickly to any questions that we had Would stay here again if we’re ever in the area

We loved our stay! The property is beautiful and private, a serene hideaway in the rainforest while being close to La Fortuna attractions. We arrived later than expected and had to find the house at night, which was tricky. A helpful tip if you’re in the same situation: look for the driveway immediately after the bus stop on the left. The house was spotless, easily the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It was well-stocked with everything we could need, including a Christmas tree! While the lack of rugs or wall coverings made it a bit echoey and sparse, it stayed wonderfully cool. The outdoor area was a highlight, with a fantastic space and a large table for dining al fresco. The pool was excellent and watching the wildlife was a treat, we even saw the sloth! One thing to note is the few friendly dogs who hung out around the property and marked the porch. While they weren’t aggressive, it’s worth mentioning for future guests. Overall, this was a fantastic place!

There are not enough words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as described. We had all the amenities we needed. The blender was great for making pool side drinks and all the kitchen appliances worked perfectly for us. We made breakfast every morning! Besides the great amenities, we enjoyed the beautiful landscape and privacy of this house. Listening to the birds every morning and spotting lizards was a highlight. The bedroom is closed off and locks securely at night but of course the rest of the house is open to all that nature offers. Be careful not to leave any food out overnight, some little creature will dig in. The bedroom is pretty small and hard to move around in especially with luggage but honestly this was not an issue because everything about this place was magical. 11/10 we would stay here again. We were very sad to leave!

Our experience at this property was excellent, and much of that can be attributed to the exceptional service provided by Joshua, the concierge. From the moment we arrived, Joshua greeted us warmly and provided a brief but informative tour of the house. He was consistently responsive and offered excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options. The property itself was as described, well-maintained and comfortable. The shower had reliable hot water, the air conditioning unit functioned effectively, and the location was convenient, being only about 15 minutes from the center of La Fortuna. The only minor downside was the occasional appearance of a few insects at night but it was not problematic. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

We had a wonderful stay at the sloth house in La Fortuna. Great location right outside of town. Easy to get to restaurants and area attractions. There is a great restaurant, Mary’s BBQ, within walking distance of the house. It was rainy and a little chilly, but we were still able to enjoy the great backyard and pool.

A home away from home! Andrea is such a lovely host. She has everything you need, lots of towels, kitchen supplies, etc. this was our second stay and we’ll be back again. The plunge pool and views of Arenal (volcano) are priceless. Away from the incessant noise of the town, the place is a cute house in a quiet neighborhood.

The cabin is beautiful, Geison is the respectful,friendly and attentive host. 1000% recommended. Everything was impeccable.

We decided last minute to stay one night here and it was wonderful! Easy to find, clean, beautiful place, amenities well kept and relaxing. Walkable to restaurants, and one on the premise so you don't have to go far at all if you don't want. And Quesada is 10 min drive for more things to do or eat or shop. Friendly and lovely owners. It really felt like staying at a family's guest house, we loved it so much. it was a short stay, but we will be back! Thank you Daniela!

Lovely and comfortable cottage, with a spacious garden and beautiful view. Great communication from hosts, welcomed with freshly baked banana bread. Very convenient location in the centre of town close to shops, restaurants and the local bus that takes you straight to the Monteverde cloud forest. The pool was refreshing too. Definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful place surrounded by nature. We loved the garden, hot tub and bbq area. Amilcar and his wife were so friendly and helpful a during our stay. It’s a perfect place for a couple or a four person trip. The internet was excellent, we worked online all week with no issues. Thank you to Amilcar for your hospitality! We will be back :)

Very nice stay, the house is very functional and impeccable even if it is not modern. The kitchen is very well equipped. The pool is very well kept, always clean. Neighborhood a little far from La Fortuna but we liked to be just away and quiet. This place is a great value and we recommend it without a problem.

We loved our stay here! It’s very peaceful and beautiful, with a nicely done interior. One of our favorite stays yet! Jim was very responsive and friendly and it’s unbelievable how many farm animals are hanging around the place at all times - so fun! It is true that you may need a high clearance vehicle to get there but the dirt road is quite short and it’s worth it. The floor to ceiling glass that opens up was bright and cheerful, and we loved it!
