Monthly Rentals in Markington

We had a lovely stay at this unique and quaint cottage. The location was perfect for our dog with quick access across the cricket field to fields and forest beyond. About 15 minute drive into Harrogate which was perfect and just on the doorstep of Rippon. Helen was an extremely proactive host who made us feel right at home. Definitely worth a stay if you’re looking for a unique property in a quiet area!

Excellent location, peaceful l and beautiful. Pictures and exact replica of the old telephone exchange. Instructions were clear and helpful and a loved the little gift hamper and selection of games.

We absolutely loved staying in the cottage. It’s even lovelier than the photos show! The design and attention to detail in the decor really worked beautifully in this period place. It was warm and cosy and clutter-free. It’s a very homely place. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. The sun is on the front lawn in the afternoon and evening and it’s a great place to sit and listen to the curlews. The surrounding area is fabulous. Just a short walk across a field and you are in Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal grounds. Deer roaming and swimming in the lake there. Lots of footpaths to walk locally. Literally minutes from Ripon too with Booths & M&S food for provisions. Nidderdale is on the doorstep with lots of lovely villages and pubs. We were sad to leave this little gem of a place and will definitely return.

We have had a lovely stay at Sunnyside Cottage. The cottage itself was immaculate, exactly as the pictures and was perfect for our little stay. There was a very helpful guestbook with some lovely touches including a welcome hamper. We would 100% recommend to other people and return ourselves - Thank you Emily! X
