We were really happy with our stay - lots of really thoughtful touches made it a home from home. Feather pillows, electric blankets, fresh coffee, fresh flowers, ginger cake, plenty of towels/bedding, great book collection! In a small town with amenities on your doorstep but still have the beautiful countryside right there too. We took Heather’s recommended riverside walk to the pub for a local stroll and explored some of the waterfalls and walks around the area. Perfect weekend break with a great host! Thanks.

Just what we were looking for, for a short relaxing break and lots of walking. Swallow Cottage was delightful, super comfortable, so clean, had everything you needed for a home from home. Very quirky with steps everywhere, even where you wouldn’t expect them! But all clearly signed. A great little gem.

We had a delightful stay at this charming stone cottage which was perfect for two adults — cosy, beautifully finished, and well laid out. Giles was excellent throughout, with prompt and helpful communication. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed: top-quality fixtures, a lovely private garden for morning tea among fresh herbs, and views over a peaceful pasture with sheep and lambs. The nearby village of Wray was equally charming. Highlights include the quality of construction, the serene location, thoughtful layout, and easy access to stunning countryside. A wonderful stay — highly recommended.

Thank you to Kathryn and Richard for allowing us to stay at their beautiful cottage. It had everything we needed for nice relaxing stay including a fireplace, comfy beds and amazing views. Our children loved the chickens and goats. The location was great for exploring the area. Would recommend the restaurant Rind to anyone staying here- so good we went back a 2nd time! Kathryn and Richard were both so welcoming throughout, from initial booking, communication was great and were available to contact throughout our stay. We've had a lovely long weekend :)
