Vacation rentals with beach access in River Thames

We loved our stay at the Crow’s Nest in Rye. It was in an amazing location just off the Main Street. If you are looking for a cosy idyllic getaway, Hannah’s place is perfect. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay, probably the most cleanest Airbnb I’ve been to, everything looked brand new! The place has thermometers around so you’re able to control the heating temperature in different rooms which is awesome. The place is located in the heart of the city centre, so close to the pier, seafront, and all the shops, bars and restaurants (all walkable). If you are staying during the weekend be mindful that there will he noise on the street from bars, pubs and people etc, as it’s in the centre - can make it difficult to sleep at times. It’s a short walk from the two train stations and there is a paid parking service around the corner. I would say it only fits 5 people comfortably rather than 6, the sofa bed is meant to fit 2 people but it’s broken on pulling it out, so only really suitable for 1 person to sleep on. Otherwise is an immaculate place, safe, clean, good rooftop, convenient, and responsive hosts for any q’s. Would definitely book again!

The house is clean and big, the view of the beach, the windows have a view of the beach, the people of the city are clean and attentive, I would come back again

It was a lovely stay from check-in to check-out. The accommodations were exactly as described—even better-looking in person, if anything! Everything was provided for a comfortable stay, and we were left wanting for nothing. The location is wonderful. Considering it is on a main road, there was surprisingly little noise pollution—and the convenience of being right on the seafront, and the gorgeous view at night, are so, so worth the little there was. We had a fabulous break here, and would recommend it to anyone!

Apartment was exactly as Danielle's description and photos. Very close to lovely restaurants and bars / shops. We stupidly couldn't find the key pad to enter the code Danielle provided to get out of the car park! (Our fault !) If you visit....It's on one of the pillars between some of the car parking spaces! Lovely clean apartment and the provision of some toiletries was very welcomed! Thank you! We stayed as are having building work completed at home, it was a lovely stay.

The apartment was wonderful just how the pictures looked the host were all so helpful definitely will stay again beds where so comfortable the balcony was lovely could see the sea so peaceful

Sheerness is a special place. We had things to do and people to see in the area and this apartment suited us very well. However, it is such a beautifully restored, decorated and furnished apartment that it would be worth staying a couple of nights just to experience it. The exterior and especially the interior are completely charming, and Antony was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and an excellent host. There are a couple of decent restaurants nearby and Sheppey is well worth exploring. We had a great stay

I have just spent a wonderful relaxing 2 weeks at High Knap. It is a perfect spot to recharge the batteries. The house itself works brilliantly. A lovely bright sitting room with spectacular sea views, extremely comfortable bedrooms & a well appointed easy to manage kitchen where one didn’t spend hours trying to locate items! Lovely shower room too. The bedrooms have splendid views, are extremely comfortable & the entire house feels so welcoming on arrival. The location is excellent with the historic towns of Rye, Winchelsea & of course Hastings nearby plus a nature reserve to hand. I went on some bracing sunny walks along Winchelsea beach, which although a typical south east shingle one, nevertheless has charms of its own with the view of Fairlight hills & cliffs to the west and Dungeness (looking like a castle in the mist sometimes) to the east. Another plus point is that the beach is absolutely not crowded but has one delightful cafe half way towards Fairlight. Much to enjoy!

Excellent choice for a family in the gorgeous camber sands. Minutes from the beach, the house really suited our family of four and we appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. Fantastic location for exploring the area and we would love to come back in the summer but also enjoyed the peace and beauty of camber in the winter.

Our stay at this home in South End East was absolutely wonderful! The location was perfect—convenient and close to everything we needed. The house itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had a warm, welcoming feel that made it truly feel like a home away from home. Marta’s home was a beautiful as advertised. Modern, chic, and right in the middle of the history of rye.

This was a beautiful location and property to spend quality time with family for our Dads 80th Birthday. The living area was amazing all in the same room but different seating areas. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, black out blinds, heard the owl and woodpecker in the mornings and saw horses in the field opposite, log burner was perfect for the cold evenings. Straight out the front door into the forest for long walks. I would definitely recommend to others.

Such a lovely holiday home - beautifully decorated, clean, cosy and a stone’s throw from the beach (be prepared for a steep climb to get there!) Rye is an 8 minute drive away and you can park for the whole day for £2.50 in Rope Street car park which is a 5 minute walk from the high street. Fran is an excellent host - friendly, responsive and the little personal touches within the house mean a lot. We would definitely recommend and would definitely book again.

A lovely place to stay in the centre of Rye! As per the description, there are low beams and doorways but the house is full of character, it had everything we needed and is in an amazing location. Becky was a very responsive host providing detailed information before we arrived. We had a lovely stay!

We had such a lovely time at Sam's property. It was lovely and clean and the location on the High Street was perfect for all the pubs, restaurants and shops. Parking was great with the car park ony a stones throw away and just £2.50 per day, just like Sam had said. Really easy to get to all the seaside resorts and local attractions. A beautiful flat. We have stayed in the area many times and this was the best place by far. We would definitely book again.

Great place to stay if you’re visiting the ExCel centre or Canary Wharf. Good transport for further afield in London as well. Really easy to check in, Leon and Claudia were really helpful with everything we needed and accommodating our requests. Check in and check out was a breeze!

I am a heavy travellers . I stayed so many places before. Hotels or flats. Aniesha’s flat is like a five star hotel suite! Very modern and stylish. The building is only 1.5years old. Very clean and the location is very convenient just in front of railway station and near supermarket and shopping center. Lots of restaurants nearby. It makes me feel like home. Thank you Aniesha! Aniesha is a very nice host. I already look forward to coming back again! Wish a merry Christmas and Happy new year.

Great apartment my friend and I booked during our stay in London. Great view, very accommodating host, great location. Would love to book again in the future.

We were working early to late so didn't get much time to enjoy the accommodation which was a shame. An interesting much changed area since I visited 50 years ago and I suspect great fun to really explore given time.

Highly recommend staying here, Daria place made it feel a home from home. We booked as came to Southend for the weekend visiting family. Location was perfect with everything in a short walking distance away. Very clean and clear instructions to help with our stay. The bed was super comfy and slept very well on both nights. We didn’t hear any noise. We relaxed in the livingroom on the lovely sofa with a cuppa and didn’t want to move. The garden was a lovely feature and the sun was in our favour so was nice to enjoy. Lovely shower although could be abit hotter, the heating in the flat was by electric heaters. They worked but we did feel cold at times in the mornings. The parking was abit of an issue as some times was free and not so a confusing we ended up parking in the large car park behind the property. Which is only a 30 sec walk away. We enjoyed the overall stay and would 100% choose to stay here again if we was coming to Southend.
