Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the countryside was fantastic, and we loved sitting on the squashy sofas and watching the latest films on netflix. The apartment is a nice walk into the local town where we found a nice place to eat lunch. We loved our stay and will definitely consider it for future trips!

  • What a fantastic stay we had at Isabella Lodge. It was our 'mini moon' and the tranquil setting, beautiful decor and thoughtful touches were just what we needed. The nearby pub was lovely, as was Clitheroe. A particular favourite was The Emporium - stunning food (and lots of it!!) Barry was a wonderful host, on hand if we needed anything at all. Honestly can't fault our experience. Thank you!

The hot tub was an added bonus, we really enjoyed relaxing in the tub with a prossecco while taking in the lovely views. This cosy 1 bedroom cottage in the centre of Clitheroe is the perfect location to explore the beautiful Ribble Valley, attend weddings in the area, visit the wine bars and real ale houses and enjoy the many festivals held in the town. Newly refurbished, the cottage has an enclosed outside space and is a short walk from the many bars, shops, railway and bus stations. The host will provide a warm welcome and can share extensive local knowledge to help you relax and get the most from your visit.
The one bedroom has a king sized bed but there is a sofa bed in the lounge on request if guests would rather sleep separately or for children. There is seating for only two guests, but cutlery, crockery, etc for four.
Clitheroe is a historic market town with a famous Norman castle surrounded by a lovely park. The town has many well know locally owned businesses eg Byrne’s wine shop, Bowland brewery, Dawson’s and The Grand as well as being surrounded by many stunning villages and at the door of Pendle Hill. It is a great base for walking and cycling.
  • Fantastic spot if you want to be within walking distance to everything clitheroe has to offer! Wonderful cottage with everything you need and then some. Sue left milk, bread, butter, jam and a variety of teas and coffees for us on arrival. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and would also return in the future 😊

  • You can't go wrong staying at this well equipped, clean and cosy cottage. It's very well situated, close to all of the amenities in Clitheroe. Nothing is too much trouble for Sue and with all of the kind touches made ie welcome pack you will feel most welcome. Thank you Sue x

    Sue2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was always ready to help with everything and she always gives a good care with guest. The cottage was very clean and the location was fabulous. It took 40 seconds to main street and around 5mins to Clitheroe station. Just around the conner, thee is a bus stop goes to Preston and etc. Tesco is just 2mins away and the cottage has sufficient amenities. I can recommend this cottage to everyone and I would definitely wanna stay at her place again.

    Seokho2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet cosy place :) Close from the station and also Tesco.

  • A lovely little space for two within a characterful little town. The cottage had everything we needed for a lovely weekend meeting with friends. Everything was clean, tidy and uncluttered. There was bread, butter, conserves, coffee and a selection of tea including a fruit one. Shops, supermarkets, and a selection of smaller local merchants a few mins walk supplied a choice of anything we wanted. Likewise, churches, theatre, restaurants and coffee shops were all just a few steps from the front door. Although the cottage doesn’t have private parking, there is some street parking and /or p&d parking nearby. Perfect!

    Denise2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very well kept and sparkling clean. Sue wad great at keeping in touch and made an extra special effort leaving out toys for our 5 month old daughter. As well as bread rolls, milk, butter and jam. Would highly recommend.

  • Deborah and Andrew are great hosts who have created a warm, comfortable and clean, private space for guests in their home. I couldn’t fault any part of this stay and in addition, Deborah had laid out some bread and cereals for us to help ourself to as well as tea and coffee whenever we wanted. They also can give you plenty of useful tips for local places to visit. Don’t forget to make time to Pat their beautiful 11 year old dog ‘ faith’ who may just wander by quietly to say hello. She’s adorable. Their lovely home is within 5 minutes walk of the town centre which has some nice shops, eateries and the Everyman Cinema. Thank you so much for our stay xx

  • A really warm and comfortable stay with a beautiful house and excellent amenities. The walk in shower with no step was extremely useful and iv always thought Mira Power Showere the best. My only problem was my stay was too short. Thanks very much.

    Clitheroe, England, United Kingdom

My place is in West Bradford, a mile and a half from Clitheroe, with great views and countryside walks. Although there are no shops or pubs in the village itself, a fantastic restaurant is just a minute's walk away. You’ll love my cosy, compact cottage dating from the 1730's with an original beam. It is located in beautiful gardens bordering a babbling brook. A private patio overlooks the brook towards fields. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).
CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS During the current time we are taking even greater care over cleaning the cottage. All surfaces are being wiped down with anti-bacterial and anti-virus cleaner. An anti-bacteria and anti-virus agent is being added when bedding and towels are laundered. If guests would prefer to bring their own bedding and towels they are welcome to do this. Weavers' Cottage is small but beautifully formed and oozing with character. The stone built cottage is located opposite our house and has been operating as a self-catering holiday cottage for the past twelve years. The studio accommodation has everything you need: double bed, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, two easy chairs, breakfast bar, separate shower and toilet, full central heating, TV with DVD player.
West Bradford is a relatively small village community one and a half miles from Clitheroe. It is a rural community with a number of farms and acres of farmland with excellent walks within yards of the cottage. The area is very popular with walkers and cyclists. The village does not have any shops but the nearby town of Clitheroe, has a very good range of shops and supermarkets. Whilst there are limited amenities within the village The 3 Millstones restaurant is less than a hundred yards from the cottage. It is open Wednesday to Sunday and offers excellent food at very reasonable prices: there is an early diner menu Wednesday to Friday 6.00 to 7.00 pm with two courses for approximately £13. There are always two guest ales on tap and there is a very good wine list. The food is consistently excellent, we eat there at least once a month and have never been disappointed. One mile down the road is Waddington, a very picturesque village with three popular and well regarded pubs and The Country Kitchen which provides a hearty breakfast at reasonable cost. Both The Waddington Arms and The Lower Buck are dog friendly.
  • Absolutely stunning place to stay with the stream bubbling behind the cottage and friendly ducks wandering around the garden 🦆. Inside was toasty warm and had everything we needed (including good tea bags). Loved it!

    Daniel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent accommodation and host.

    Paul2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • Andrew's cottage is just lovely and we had a great time there (despite the weather). We and our dog were made very welcome. The area is beautiful and gave us a chance to escape the city. We highly recommend this place and would always visit again.

  • We had two fabulous nights and days in this little gem of a place. Cosy and warm, with everything we needed for our stay. Nice long walks, good food nearby oh and not forgetting the lovely, hot shower! Thank you Andrew and Sue for being such friendly hosts, we’ll be back xx

  • Please do not be put off by the size of this property, it has everything you need and more. We stayed with two large Golden Retrievers and found there to be ample room for us all.

    Carolyn2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, cosy, comfortable and clean. Well located for the surrounding countryside.

    Michael2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy little cottage. We needed accommodation for a wedding at nearby Eaves Hall, this place was perfect for us. Andrew and Susan were friendly and greeted us at check in. Its in a very old building but inside it was modern and heating was good enough even in December. They also have facilities for self catering which made it felt more homely.

  • A hidden gem in Clitheroe. We booked 'Tilly' as cheap accomodation to add to our Clitheroe visit. We would 100% here everytime we visit Cllithroe and even make excuses to visit. What a fabulous place. Karen the host was so attentive, quick responses, kind, and friendly. The caravan was super cool with so many cute added touches including flapjack, tea and coffee, great mugs, wine and chocolates on arrival and beautifully decorated. Warm and cosy, we didn't want to leave. The breakfast was out of this world, with home made jam, orange cartons and so fresh. Brought to you in bed. Totally fabulous and I would stay here over any luxury hotel. Can't wait to return. Thankyou again. Roxanne and Ben (15/11/19)

Set in the Ribble Valley under Pendle Hill where the last witches to be tried and put to death lived, Clitheroe is a small market town with it's own Norman castle. It's great for walking, and has lots of small surrounding villages to visit.
It's a small newly decorated room it has a small double bed in it and a cupboard to hang clothes and store a suitcase. The cottage has stone floors and an inglenook fire place, the cottage has under floor heating so is nice and cozy, you would have your breakfast at the kitchen table.
I live in a lovely part of England in a small market town,my house is well within walking distance of the centre, which has plenty of pubs, bars, pub grub and restaurants. It's also ideal for walking as it sits under Pendle Hill which is where the last witches in England came from,It's one and a half hours from the lake district and has a direct train link to Manchester.

There are many lovely walks/cycle routes right from the front door into the surrounding villages . The Ribble Valley is spoilt for choice as there are so many amazing pubs and restaurants nearby. Holmes Mill with its own brewery and food hall and wedding venue is within walking distance. The house is lovely , cosy and spacious and very convenient for a well earned break in the countryside. It is suitable for friends, couples, cyclists, walkers, business travellers and is close to all the beautiful wedding venues situated in the Ribble Valley.
Clitheroe being in the heart of the Ribble Valley is easily accessible to lovely bars, restaurants, wedding venues including Eves Hall, Bashall Barn, Shireburn Arms Hurst Green. Highly recommend the village of Waddington, 5 minutes drive to 3 fantastic country pubs/restaurants, great walks too. Short drive to the beautiful wedding venue and restaurant Mitton Hall located on the periphery of Whalley village.

  • A perfect stay over for a great nights sleep. The house was lovely, clean and fresh. The beds were very comfortable and rooms nice and spacious. We were very impressed with the size of the house, as it is a terraced, we were expecting the rooms to be much smaller. The bathroom was also spacious with a lovely big bath, which is always a bonus for me. The house was very close to the town cenrtre, which meant we could walk into town within minutes. Having egg soldiers and coffee for breakfast was a lovely touch.

A light and airy apartment in the heart of the Ribble Valley. Waddington can honestly be described as one of the most beautiful and scenic villages, with a host of local amenities. Our apartment is peacefully tucked away from the main road . Waddington village is home to 3 outstanding pubs, each with their own character and always on hand to offer refreshment after enjoying the incredible walking or cycling that is on the doorstop.
When you arrive, you will find the cupboards are not bare! There will be some basic supplies to make sure that you can make yourself a cuppa, and start your break immediately. I have put together some information on the local area to help you find your way, and enjoy everything as quickly as possible. No wasting time heading in the wrong direction.
Along with the fantastic pubs in the village, you will also find Tolkiens Trail, the market town of Clitheroe, Pendle Hill, Gisburn Forest and the Inn at Whitewell, all within a short distance.
  • A lovely flat to relax in, very central for the beautiful village of Waddington and easy access to Clitheroe

All of Waddington’s pubs are a short walk away from the flat too - perfect location for food and drink. The flat was just as I had hoped and exactly like the pictures. It had all the basic amenities that you need for a short stay- easy! Thank you Clare - would definitely stay again!

We are offering our family holiday home we've used for a number of years on Todber Valley Holiday Park. Todber Valley is a quiet holiday park with a good bar/restaurant, play areas for the children, a small store offering all the essentials and a launderette all within 100 meters of the holiday home. There are on site areas for dog walking, with immediate access to beautiful countryside located literally on the borders between Lancashire, The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland (an AONB).
The Holiday home is a 35 x 12 foot Caravan with an open living-dining kitchen area with comfy seating a dining table. The double bedroom has ample wardrobes and a door into the main bathroom. Main bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. There is also a toilet room adjacent to the twin bedroom.
The park feels very much like a quiet neighbourhood. It feels more like a gated community than a holiday park. Most people on the park are residential therefore the upkeep and the tidiness of the park is exceptional compared to some that can feel a bit rough.
  • A lovely little Caravan, clean and comfortable, especially the bed after a long days walking. Great communication from the initial enqiry and throughout booking procedure. Ryan met me with warm welcome and offered great local advise. Had a lovely break away with the dogs and will definately be back again, thanks to you both for your hospitality 😃

  • We had a lovely stay- Ruth could not have been more helpful, meeting us at the property and running through things with us. Clean, well-appointed and very cosy, we had a lovely few days and enjoyed exploring the local area. We would love to come back in the summer months. The adventure playground was a big hit with our kids too! Thank you for having us.

    Carla2020-02-19T00:00:00Z

  • Ideal caravan, amazing value for money. Has a homely feel about it. ryan(the host) was great, met us at the caravan perfectly on time and was welcoming. Would recommend.

    Dwaine2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Ryan's property. So much so that we booked an extra night. The caravan is clean, with good sized living area, bathroom and bedrooms. The hosts were really friendly and responded quickly. The site is nice and quiet and the plot is at the far end of a row of caravans with a small private garden which was great for the dog. The steamer pub is a short walk away and there's a good park area for kids. There are plenty of plates, mugs and cutlery, however not a lot of glasses but bath towels are provided and the beds are very comfortable. We hope to stay again in the future.

  • We arrived at the Lower Buck Inn on a sunny afternoon and the pub already had a great atmosphere, we were checked into our little lodge quickly. The lodge itself is wonderfully designed and very comfortable, all amenities have been provided for including a fan and a heater! My wife was very impressed with the shower in particular, we had spent two weeks staying at over 8 different hotels and BnBs and this was by far the best bathroom! Oliver was very kind and spoke to the chef and managed to rustle up two vegan mushroom risottos which were delicious! I would recommend this pub to anyone who is in the area! and if your lucky enough to stay there you'll have a great night!

It is extremely clean and has all the amenities you could need . Katie and Carol communicated with me at every turn and even left us a beautiful selection of breakfast items which touched me . I don't know how you become a super host, but these two have my vote.

  • Stayed here for two nights for a wedding at Mitton Hall. We arrived after the reception had closed, but they were really helpful and emailed us great instructions as to what to do when we got there. The place was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The kitchen was clean and modern and the beds were incredibly comfy!! The flat was spacious and cosy, perfect size for four adults all trying to get ready for a wedding!!! We had a lovely walk around the park, which was incredibly quite and quaint, and it's not a far walk from the local pub! The welcome pack was great and provided everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. They couldn't have been more helpful!! They're even posting the things that I accidentally left there back to me! Thanks for a great stay. I strongly recommend!!

The views and area surrounding are outstanding. The caravan was spotless and so warm and cosy despite it being cold outside. Everything we needed was in the caravan. Lisa2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay, this house does feel like home from home, there is everything needed to be able to just walk in and be at home. Tea and coffee in jars, washing powder etc, just makes it easier to just arrive and enjoy, which we did. In a lovely location just a walk away from Whalley centre were there are shops, restaurants and pubs and an Abby, the Viaduct is stunning architecture with the path to the Village taking you alongside it. We will definitely stay again if in that area.

    Clare2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my husband for 2 nights from Christmas eve until Boxing Day. The house is lovely, very homely and exactly as pictured. Beds are super comfy and dressing gowns were a nice added extra :) View from the main bedroom window looking out at the viaduct is simply beautiful & picturesque. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area visiting family. Communications with Alistair were always super quick and easy. Thank you so much Alistair! :)

  • Holiday List.... 1. Imagine that you have two very kind, creative, individual and welcoming friends. 2. Imagine that these friends asked you to house sit their eclectic, comfortable and spacious home. 3. When you stay at Julie and Pete’s ‘Cottage in the Garden’ you no longer need to imagine such things because this is exactly what you get..... together with a huge vinyl record selection which you can hear through a very impressive sound system. Perfect in so many ways. 👍🏠 ... 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧k you for a great stay! xx

    Robin2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Peter are lovely hosts. Communication was great. We stayed 3 nights and the welcome provisions left for us were amazing....a bottle of Prosecco plus red wine, breakfast provisions (bacon, eggs etc), cheese, crisps, bread, butter, milk fruit juices, yoghurts.... etc etc plus, lovely fresh flowers too! The place is spacious and extremely homely, especially given the gas log fire was on when we arrived (arrived after dark) and it was toasty warm (very much appreciated on a cold Novembers night). The cottage is extremely close to Clitheroe, and a bonus for us (given we have a dog) was the close proximity of the park literally some 30 seconds walk away!! We both slept like logs in the super super comfy bed, and had such a variety of music to play on the record player/CD player in there. The vinyl collection is immense....to say the least!! There were also lots of books/up to date quality magazines to read There’s also a sauna in there to use, which my partner appreciated so much! We had a lovely relaxing few days in this cottage, and whilst here managed to do what we came for - The Tolkien Walk and on another day climb up Pendle Hill (both highly recommended), given we were lucky enough to have dry weather during our stay. All in all, an enjoyable few days stay.

    Louise2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's garden is like a tardis and the cottage is warm, quiet and very well equipped. One big double bed plus a small room at the back with bunks for two small children. Also a couple of huge sofas, one of which I (6' tall) slept on very happily. A sauna too! Julie is a really thoughtful host who left us everything we'd need for tea, coffee, breakfast etc plus a bottle of wine! It's right next to a park and about 10 mins walk to centre of Clitheroe.

    Jerry2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding. From the beginning I had fantastic communication from Julie, giving directions and confirming check-in. The place is fantastic, really homely and spacious, Julie had provided all the essentials that were needed, eggs, bacon, bread, crisps, milk, cheese, biscuits. There was so much it was a very special touch. I recommend staying with Julie to everybody and will be back myself whenI return to Clitheroe.

  • Charlie‘s place is a quite sweet little studio apartment, which is a nice space to live in for some time. It had good kitchen essentials, so cooking was very easy as well as a well functioning heating system, which gave it quite a homely feel, especially good concerning that I lived there on my own for two weeks. It is very practical, as it is quite central, close to two small groceries, to bars and ‘Rios’, the only nightclub in the are, which has its own kind of charm. However with that in mind, if noisy places bother you a lot, there will be a bit of a buzz on the weekend and sometimes at night, with drunk lads walking by. I just put my headphones on and let everything go past. Also Charlie was concerned if everything was alright, very quick to answer to any questions and all in all it was a simple and uncomplicated stay. I would definitely think about staying there again, for when I come back the next time to Whalley!

    Alex2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
