It was a good old feeling from the inn's appearance to the interior. There was no complaint in the room, as well as the shower and washbasin. Even though we arrived early, we were able to check in. The staff were also very good people. I want to use it again.

We expected an amazing, traditional experience and that’s what we got ! Some of the nicest shared amenities I’ve ever experienced and such friendly, kind and hospitable staff. A beautiful place to stay, so peaceful and aesthetically pleasing.

Old style hotel can be said an exceptional stay in Kyoto! Worth a try! But in winter, using shared bathroom and toilet can be a bit uncomfortable(freezing cold at night...)

The reception staff were very kind. There is a bus stop near the place where you live. It is convenient to take buses to major attractions in Kyoto. The overall feel of living was good.

I chose it here to experience traditional Japanese tatami mats and warm tables, and it turned out to be a wise choice! Really perfect experience, in several ways: 1. Living experience: Our room is on the second floor of another building, and the staff dormitory is downstairs. There are two rooms upstairs. Our room is a traditional Japanese-style tatami sliding door. Although the room is not large, it can hold three 20 Inch suitcase, the heating is fierce enough, this kind of weather is not afraid of cold, but the wooden structure house is indeed poor in sound insulation, the next room speaks quietly, walks, and the sound of washing dishes downstairs can be heard, but stay free to get earplugs, afraid of noise It can be used and can be locked from the inside. The landlord also has a lock for easy locking from the outside, but in fact, the sliding door can be opened directly. The effect of the lock is not great ~ I like the warm table in the public space and make a cup of tea at night. Flipping through books and chatting with other tourists is really awesome! The downside is that the shower room is very cold ~ so we walked to the nearby bathhouse for a 5-minute walk the next night (450 yen / person) 2. Transportation: You need to take the bus or subway to get to the attractions, but Kyoto is actually not big. We walk back to the bed and breakfast from Yasaka Shrine in about 40 minutes. Because the attractions of Kyoto are easily and casually arranged, the traffic requirements are not high. When I left, because of our heavy luggage, the little sister of the B & B was very helpful in calling for a taxi (the taxi from the B & B to JR Kyoto Station was about 620 yen). By the way, our dream of taking a taxi in Japan was also fulfilled ~ 3. Dining: There are convenience stores and soba noodle shops nearby. When you check in, I will tell you that you can buy sandwiches and milk jelly at the convenience store to make breakfast in the refrigerator at the bed and breakfast. We went to Zhaofuting's soba and udon noodles. (The lightest meal in Japan), and Ginjo ramen (soaked noodles, large portions, minced meat with salty sauce and sizzling ice water) 4. In terms of play: The hostel helped book a Karen kyoto kimono experience near the Inari Taisha Shrine. The kimonos at the original price of 5,500 and 7,700 yen can be experienced at half price. With a haircut of 1,200 yen, each person is about 5000 yen. Very good, but there are not many styles to choose from. Later, I went to Kiyomizu Temple and found that there are a lot of kimonos. The next time I go, I will consider looking for a kimono experience near Kiyomizu Temple. The stay on this trip to Kyoto was very satisfying ~ the experience was great!

Very clean, and great, helpful staff. So close to railway and subway stations, as well as major streets. Very convenient access.

Great place to stay in Kyoto. Centrally located to Gion district along with the Kyoto palace and other shrines. You can hire bikes too and take a great ride along a lake that runs through the city

The reception did speak fluent English and great hospitality. Location is really centralize and the room is fairly clean. Love to stay again when revisit Kyoto.

It is a collection of apartments near the Kyoto jr station. For me it was a walkable distance. To get from there to the scenic temples can all be done by bus. The apartment was clean and had everything you would need.

The location is very good, there are bus stop signs nearby, the subway station does not take 3 minutes to walk

It's perfect for a couple or if you are a lady and travelling alone. Very high attention to details from the host. Great place!

Convenience store was good near location, too. The contact after making the reservation was polite and I was able to go with confidence on the day. The rooms are also clean and have good quality shampoos and strong hair dryers, and the quality of amenities is higher than ordinary hotels. The kitchen had coffee makers, chopsticks, forks, spoons, knives, plates and cups. Free water was also nice. We were able to spend comfortably.

The accommodation and rooms here are very good. The host is very enthusiastic and replies to messages as quickly as possible. It is also close to the station and eats a lot nearby. It is a very good place to live and live!

Very cozy cottage, easy to find, 30 minutes from Saisai Bridge, 15 minutes from Umeda, shopping and playing are very convenient.

Kazuma’s place was nothing short of excellent. The room itself had its own bathroom, toilet and kitchen. The place was well furnished with everything you could need. Kazuma has made up a folder of all the places in the suburb to get food as well as QR code’s that links to directions on how to get there. Checkin was easy and we were allowed to stow our bags earlier than the requested checkin time. Kazuma took us to a local okinomiyaki place and we tried all the local dishes. It was a great night. 10/10 stay. Really enjoyed. Hopefully will be able to come back.

This traditional-style Japanese apartment is a great way to experience Kyoto! We really enjoyed our stay. Andrea met us at the apartment for checkin and gave us the most comprehensive set of local recommendations that I have ever had from an Airbnb host. The apartment has so many thoughtful amenities and is in a nice part of town where you can walk to lots of restaurants and easily bus or walk to tourist attractions. We ended up wanting to extend our stay while we were in town which the hosts took care of changing with quick response and no issues. Highly recommend a stay here if you are in Kyoto!

Great place!

Andrea and Mayumi went out of their way to accommodate us. They helped to make reservations at a local fu restaurant and were invaluable in helping us navigate around Kyoto. The condo is in a great location with walking proximity to restaurants, the Gion district, train and city buses.

This place is much better than what we expected. The location is great, near Gion and Higashiyama, accessible by bus! The place was amazingly cozy. Andrea is such an amazing host, he welcomed us and spared some of his time for a mini tour around the house and explained about the attractions around the apartment. He also helped us getting our luggages from the nearest Yamato delivery service. He responds quickly to our questions, amazing!

Really epic and trendy/hip spot! Easy to find on the maps. Fun activities daily you can opt in for (we did omelette making and Japanese fan crafting). Great bar and food in lobby if needed. AIRBNB says breakfast is included but it was not for some reason due to their policy. That said it was still cheap breakfast and great! Great spot for Kyoto for a few days!

We absolutely loved our stay at IMU Hotel! It was close to city center, and about 24 mins walk from Kyoto station if you’re taking the JR train. Much closer if you’re traveling from a subway train (Shijo station). They give you plenty of info on places you can visit, so that’s a real bonus. Make sure to factor in the 200 yen / day accommodation tax that you’ll have to pay when you check-in, which was noted in the listing.

There were many foreigners among the guests, and it was international and very enjoyable. The bar on the first floor is recommended from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, so all drinks are available at a flat price at a reasonable price! I'm surprised you can stay at such a beautiful and nice hotel at this price! All the staff are kind and will tell you when you listen to recommended bars and shops nearby. I also want to use it when staying in Kyoto. Thank you very much!

I was very surprised by the area it was in - absolutely loved it ! Easy access to the local train / subway and surrounded by amazing local restaurants. You are also close to temples and markets! The only thing I was disappointed by was that it said it includes breakfast and it does not. However, that is a small thing.

Mr. Yamamoto's homestay is very close to Kyoto Station, about 7 minutes walk, convenient transportation nearby, shopping malls are close, and there are many restaurants to eat. The host speaks Chinese, and the communication is very pleasant. The room is clean and tidy and well-equipped, which is very suitable for many days. Whether it is a person or a family, the price is very high! I want to stay next time I come to Kyoto! !!

Property was clean and a great value for the money. It's a simple place, shared kitchen area and shared bathrooms, but a very nice room with classic Japanese bedding. Roughly a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station and the owner was very friendly, spoke English and gave great tips on the local area. I would be happy to stay here again if I was needing a place in Kyoto and I wanted to get value for the money.

The environment is quiet, convenient to tourist attractions, and convenient shopping around.

We had a brilliant time at 幸菜’s place in Kyoto. The apartment is beautiful and we loved the traditional features like the tatami beds, low table and display kimono. Although it's located on a main road, it's set back and very quiet at night. The apartment is near bus stops and a metro station, so it's easy to get around the city. We'd definitely stay here again if we were back in Kyoto (and we hope to be in the near future!).

We had a great experience staying at Yukina's place in Kyoto. The property is nice and clean. The Japanese-styled decorations are elegant and thoughtful. The host is very friendly. I would recommend this place to others to have a go.

Amazing stay: Hospitality was particularly outstanding. The host (Andrea) was very helpful in the check in and gave us tips and recommandations for visiting the city and even side trips, he was very knowledgeable about everything. He also showed us around and explained all the appliances (which can be a life saver if you’re not used to Japanese appliances). The appartement in itself looks even better than in the photos on airbnb, and is spotless. All necessary bathroom amenities and snacks / food seasoning are available, as well as tea, coffee etc. Location is very practical, especially when combined with the recommended restaurants / bars that Andrea will tell you about. (Tried the gyoza place and the Escamoteur bar, both great)

This is a really cute traditional apartment and with a bit of organisation was perfect for us four - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Andrea meeting us at the start set us off really well, and it was kind of them to allow a late checkout- have us time for a lovely tea ceremony 😊

Love it here, the scenery outside is beautiful, and I am really happy to go in and out here every day. Shopping and eating are very convenient. The host was very enthusiastic, fluent in English, and helped us plan the trip. This trip is very happy, if you will stay here next time, if the cherry blossoms on the balcony is better.

Andrea and Mayumi’s place was absolutely perfect, minutes from the historic section of Kyoto and from an endless amount of delicious food. Andrea spent 15min sitting with us and giving us the layout of the city, recommending sites to see and how to best see them. As first time travelers to Japan, he took all of the stress out of our trip and made it a much more enjoyable experience.

It's a very nice house, with a very nice view and at a very nice location. The owner is really nice! They gave us a lot of information around the house and about Kyoto, and prepared some drinks and foods for us in the fridge. I will definitely book their house again when I visit Kyoto next time.

The guest house is a cozy place and a genuine Japanese place, we loved it. Is clean and comfortable. 10 minutes walking from a Jr station, next to kyoto st. Mitsuo is an incredible host, the best we ever had in Airbnb. He picked up at the station, offer us help to be in Kyoto, let us leave our luggage the last day and carry them to the station so we don't miss our train. Really nice, we recommend to stay in his house, we definitely do if we come back.

The best Airbnb I've ever stayed, the place is totally traditional, Mitsuo is the best host I know.

The host, Mr. Yamamoto, was very attentive and enthusiastic. He took the initiative to pick us up at the station. For some special reasons, we left Kyoto one day in advance. Mr. Yamamoto came to see us very early. He would enthusiastically ask us where we were going every day. We were able to take us to a convenient station and recommend us a variety of Kyoto food and play. Many small details are very grateful to us. Mr. Yamamoto's father is also a very cute Japanese elderly man. I hope grandpa will always be healthy and happy! The rooms are clean and warm. Typical Japanese houses have two floors, the living room is on the first floor, the second floor has two bedrooms, the first floor has floor heating, and it is close to the station. There is a huge AEON supermarket within five minutes of going out, and life is very convenient. There will be many discounts after 9pm. All in all I highly recommend this homestay!

The landlord is very enthusiastic and asks you daily if you need his help, and provides information on nearby attractions. There is a large mall near the accommodation, which contains a large supermarket, Daiso, MUJI, shopping in the daytime attractions, and replenishment at the supermarket at night, a lot of effort. The host offers good food nearby, such as izakaya and yakiniku. It is also a good choice after tired travel.

Would stay again next time

Can communicate with the host in simple English. The host will provide travel information every day. The location is really convenient. There is a bus stop near the JR and there is a large shopping mall that can be reached in two minutes.

The view from our window was amazing. You can see downtown. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The surrounding was also perfect. You have supermarkets, post office, atm, restaurants and the train station is only 10 minutes away. You can walk to a river and you can see a part of downtown. It was very beautiful at the night with all the lights. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you for everything;)

The room is large, the bed is very comfortable, the facilities in the room are new and clean, and the room is quiet at night, a great room. There are shopping streets, drug stores, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. It is only about ten minutes' walk from Thirteen Station, and it is really close to Umeda.

It was the best experience we could have had in Japan, the space is incredible, beautiful, comfortable, it has very well thought out amenities: DVD movies, super nintendo! Wifi internet, bluetooth speaker, a traditional floor space. The bathroom is amazing, comfortable and spacious. Washing machine very easy to use and where to hang clothes to dry it. What made me fall in love was his kitchen which we used a lot had everything, we took advantage of the fridge, the microwave and the conventional oven, rice cooker, the utensils they have are great for everything, nothing was missing, until there was a pasta drainer. I liked the bar to eat in addition to beautiful it was very practical. The guides they have and tips were very useful, we use the recommended trucks without any problem. In addition the location was very good. Nearby cafes very nice rich food and good coffee. Convenience stores nearby and supermarket alike.

We had a very special stay in this machiya. It’s a lovely and authentically Japanese space with everything you need - bath, stocked kitchen, garden with nice deck to sit on. We really enjoyed being in a quiet, low-key district and exploring the local neighbourhood. This place is a bit far from the centre of town (25 mins or so combining walking and train travel) but I’m glad we were there to explore an area that we wouldn’t have gone to otherwise. We really enjoyed the local sake museum and had a great time at a sake bar that the hosts recommended. Thanks to yoshi and ariya for a special time in Kyoto.

Clean, convenient place where you can really get in touch with the traditional Japanese lifestyle! Nearby are convenience stores, but also local bakeries and wonderful Japanese restaurants, as well as access to famous spots near Kyoto! The house is spacious and has a nice touch of nature, with a wonderful garden where you can enjoy your haul from the nearby food street!

Our stay had 4 adults and one 6months old baby and found the space right on for us. Things that impressed us were the details in the house, the garden, the local tips (best ramen ever! It’s recommended in the local tips book up the top), the communication from the host. Unfortunately one of the bikes had a flat tyre (no biggy) and the walk from the train station is a 10 minute walk (we thought maybe it would be overestimated). It’s a easy walk when you’ve dropped off your bags. We loved our 3 nights here and will visit again.

A very traditional old house. The staffs are very caring.

The space is the prettiest we stayed in Japan. It made us feel like we were in deep Japan. The sento was very nice to relax after a long day of walking in the town. The attention was so nice. The only thing that wasn’t very comfortable was that the toilet was downstairs a little apart from the room. Besides that It was a enjoyable experience. We loved it.

Great experience beyond imagination! Breakfast is served daily with a luxurious Japanese-style courtyard view, as well as unique Kyoto dishes. There are many high-end courses including 6000/8000/12000 to choose from. There are electric blankets and air conditioners in the room, and the indoor large bath can be used for bathing. The service is very good. The permission was granted in the Showa era. Many interesting small antiques also have beautiful flower arrangements. It is super close to Nanzenji Temple, the river is clear and very quiet. I really want to come back again ฅ (♡ ơ ₃ơ)

We loved it here! The baths are incredible and exactly what we needed after a long day of sight seeing around Kyoto. My husband and I took two a day bc we loved it so much. Our room was nice in the traditional style. You have to be okay sleeping on the floor (with comfy mats!) and walking down to use the restroom but that was no problem for us! The staff was very nice and accommodating. It was the perfect place to stay in Kyoto and easy to get anywhere!

We loved our room. Our mats were comfortable, we stayed plenty warm with the options provided. Cute residential area with easy access to the bus and about a 20-30 ride to some of the more visited/touristy areas. Kitchen area is available if wanting to cook and tea/coffee is provided. Lovely cute and eclectic touches throughout and the garden in our suite really set the atmosphere! Bikes available to rent and onsen 10 minutes away. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful ryoken style guest house. Not as cold as you'd expect in winter. The house was fully heated our entire stay. Bike rental was affordable and a great way to see kyoto. The hosts and fellow guests were all very friendly and accommodating. Arigato!

The place is exactly as described, if you go in the winter be prepared for a bit of a chill - but in the rooms this is taken care of quite well by space heaters. Very cool if you want to spend time in a truly vintage space.

We loved our stay here! The accomodation itself was very authentic feeling & a great addition to our holiday. The amenties are great & make making your own meals easy, if that’s something you want to do. The futons are also very cosy & the rooms get nice & toasty with the heating. It is a bit out of the way from the main attractions, but the bus system is great & there are plenty of stops near by, making it easy to get to everything you want to see. There is also a little restaurant on the same street. Although Italian, it is an authenic Japanese experience dining there. Having this spot too really added to the authenticity of a true cultural experience in modern Kyoto. Would highly recommend!

Helpful owner & clean stay.

Arrive in Kyoto must live Machiya and feel the rich life culture. This homestay is satisfied in all aspects. Many of the nearby bus stations are the main way to travel in Kyoto. There is a heated building in the bus room.

Umeya was definitely a highlight during our stay in Japan! The place offers us the most authentic flavor of Kyoto and is tucked away in a non-touristy yet beautiful neighborhood. We were surprised by all the thoughtful details of the stay (local restaurant/cafe recommendation on a very delicate map, facilities including a hair straightener). But the most delightful part is still the garden in front of our house - it presents stunning yet different styles in different weathers. Highly recommend to stay more than 2 days. The only drawback might be that the house is not quite sound proof and you need to be really careful to not make noises.

Very good accommodation for long or short term. Close to Kyoto station, all tourist attractions are easily accessible thereafter. On foot or by public transport. Ryoji is an attentive and caring host, but not at all intrusive. I highly recommend this place!

Good access within walking distance from Kyoto Station. The room was clean anyway and it was very easy to spend. I also want to take care when going to Kyoto.

I cannot rate Ryogi’s place highly enough! I absolutely loved my time during Kyoto staying at Nobi House. Ryogi was a wonderful host and provided heaps of tips for seeing a Kyoto, but the house itself was lovely - a modern twist on what I think is otherwise a very traditional home. I will always stay here whenever I’m back in Kyoto!

This is a beautiful and newly built Japanese guest house located 10 minutes from the main Kyoto station (you can easily walk there with your bags after jumping off the train). The room was spacious and spotless clean, and Ryoji is a kind and attentive host. It's easy to notice that a lot of care has been put into making this place nice and welcoming to guests. I found it to be well communicated with buses and trains to explore the city or nearby locations such as Nara or Osaka. I will certainly remember it as my favourite acommodation during my trip to Japan. I totally recommend it!

Check-in is smooth and easy. The location was a reasonable distance from the station, quiet and easy to spend at night, the shopping district was nearby, and it was very convenient. The soundproofing was good in a beautiful room. We wanted to use it again!

This little apartment is an amazing find in a quiet and clean neighbourhood! Super close to a JR rail train station and a subway. Also very spacious with great amenities. Very close to a cute shopping strip and a fabulous grocery store. The hosts were quick to respond to all requests as well as friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This place was amazing. Plenty of space in my room, has everything you'd need, even cooking and eating amenities. They rent out bicycles for 500yen a day which made life sooo easy. The room was immaculate, aircon works beautifully and pretty decent view out of the balcony. Highly recommended

Very good homestay experience. The rooms are small but clean, and there are all kinds of small items in the room. They are very suitable for a day's rest. A single bed and a sofa bed are actually enough for 3 people. Traffic It is also very convenient, 1 minute from the subway exit. The host also thoughtfully prepared a nearby restaurant guide, which is highly recommended!

Really cool space in an awesome spot (very close to Shin Osaka station for those hopping around by Shinkansen). Kazuma also took the time to prepare a great guide for local places to eat and sightsee at so I highly recommend this place for first timers in Osaka!

Amazing place that is beautiful and full of history!

Totally exceeded expectations! Super sister at the front desk is super excellent! There are lovely little yards, facilities and everything are complete ~ I found my favorite "Boat を む" in the bookcase of the common living room. On the first night I checked in and put the cold jio into the quilt: there was a hot water bottle! Moved instantly!

The house is large and styled. It is said to have 80 years of history and it looks great! !! And the staff are also very invisible, you can try Japanese breakfast, 400yen alone, it is quite delicious! !! The experience was great!

The photos don’t do Home Inn Justice! Very lovely and very clean. We loved the Home Inn and would definitely stay again. They’re very kind and very hospitable.

The place was really nice. All the staff we met were very helpful, friendly and spoke very good english (which was very helpful for two not good Japanese speakers). They gave us lots of information about Kyoto as well as kitchen equipment and essentials (salt, pepper etc.) when we needed them. The room was clean and well laid out, the bath was great and added control over heating and water temperature really made it perfect. Short walk to Tokofuji station which is ideal to get to majority of locations in Kyoto as well as onward travel to Tokyo, Osaka and Nara. Only a 10 minute walk to a beautiful zen temple. Only down side is that there isn’t much choice in local shops other than a family mart so I’d suggest shopping for anything in town that you need if it doesn’t have it for you.

The hosts were friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. The space was a great place for the two of us for a few days and we were provided with everything we needed. Only a couple of train spots from the city area.

It is a nice place to stay in, it is a very convenient place, you have the train and bus station very close so you can go to a lot of places, and there are a lot of places for eating nearby too. It was great, If I come back to Kyoto I’ll definitely stay again in this place.

This place was in a perfect location for hopping on the train or bus and exploring Kyoto. The room itself was super cute and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was especially fabulous. For the overall value, this place cannot be beat. I will 100% stay here again if/when I visit Kyoto next.

This was SUCH an amazing Airbnb. It's exactly the type of place we were looking for: cute, cozy (the bed is comfier than my own bed at home), conveniently located (literally steps from the train station), and CLEAN. I mean it--you know how some places look clean in pictures but they're worn down and dirty in real life? Kazuma's place is sparkling. Clean. It's amazing. This place has every amenity you could ever want: toiletries, an in-unit washing machine, room Wifi, room slippers, water bottles in the fridge, you name it... We also loved his binder with all the different restaurant suggestions and accompanying Google Maps QR code. Really, his attention to detail is quite phenomenal. The only cons I would note are the verrrry steep stairs that you have to go up if you don't live on the first floor (not good for those with impaired mobility) and that the pocket WiFi was not super generous (the daily limit was quite low). However, these were nonissues for us. Please be sure to try his Thai restaurant, TSURE, before you go. The chicken dish is delicious, and you get a discount for being an Airbnb customer! My partner and I would happily stay here again if we come back to Osaka. Thank you so much, Kazuma, for a wonderful home away from home!

Very neat, clean and cute apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Osaka. Location was very convenient and not at all difficult to get to via train on the Midosuji subway line or via taxi from Shin-Osaka. Kazuma responds to messages very promptly and is very thorough and helpful. We wanted to book a taxi to the apartment and he wrote a message in Japanese and provided a Google Maps link for me to show the driver, and we got to the apartment with no hassle. There is also a detailed guidebook provided with lots of food options in the area. We were also able to get an earlier check-in. At the end of our stay, we checked out at 11AM but Kazuma kindly let us store our bulky luggage in the guesthouse around the corner from the apartment until 6:30PM before we picked it up to go to the airport. Kazuma and his friends were also very helpful with taking our heavy luggage down the stairs of the apartment after we checked out. Only critique is that there are a few establishments opposite the apartment that open till late and it can be a little noisy around 2am when patrons are leaving. Other than that, everything was perfect. We would definitely stay here again next time we're in Osaka.

Great place. Closest station is Tofukuji. If you have the JR pass, you can take the train to this station from Kyoto station for free! It’s a bit of a walking distance for the Gion District or the downtown area (about 30 mins). But super clean, very spacious and you get everything you need. It goes without saying in japan but I’ll say it anyway, this is a very very safe area. I would recommend it.

Clean and confortable, bathroom pipe was outside the bath so i needed to grab the pipe while i was taking a shower but overall everything was perfect.

Because it was close to Kyoto Station, Shichijo Station, Tofukuji Station and three stations, transportation is very convenient. It's a little noisy when the train passes, but it's just a good stay for a trip. Sleeping sound until morning because the blackout curtain is on properly. Self-check-in and out are also convenient. It is very helpful to see your luggage on the first day. Cospa was a good guest house.

It is a repeater. It was a fun stay because it was close to Kyoto Station and close to Daini Keihan. The sound of the train is a little bit, but the rest is quiet in a stylish room so I am very satisfied.

The landlord is very nice. They answer questions for us without any detail. They are very patient. The rooms are clean and well managed. I went to the New Year, and the room was a bit cold, the air conditioner was on for a long time, and the room would be very dry, if only a humidifier was available.

It is very close to the bus station and the subway station, it is easy to find, there are many restaurants next to it, and there is Rosen in two steps, which is very convenient. The host's grandmother is a native and doesn't speak Chinese, but English is very good. Just use translation software. It's nice to cook breakfast for guests in the morning, so when you book a room, you need to fill the room. After breakfast, remember to put the plates in the sink (without washing), she will be very happy. The room is very clean, but there is only one bathroom. You need to make an appointment to take a bath. It can be as early as possible to avoid disturbing others. Remember to take pictures with grandma before leaving, this is her memory. I hope grandma can be happy every day.

The place is an amazing accommodation to stay in Kyoto. I couldn't find a word to describe how amazed I was. The host welcomed us with great hosipitality and introduced us how we can get to each attraction. The room was sparkling clean and furnished in traditional Japanese style. The transportation was very convenient. We received a postcard when leaving. Will definitely visit again if we go to Kyoto in the future.

This time I rented two listings from this host. This one is a little farther away from the subway station (but not too far away). When I changed rooms, the host helped me to move my luggage. Qwq Thank you ~~ There is a family nearby Rosen 711, KFC McDonald's Yoshinoya or something, (the booklet given by the landlord has a lot of recommended restaurants around). The subway line is a subway line that can pass through major business districts and interchange stations. It is very convenient to go there: P should have everything in the room (with a microwave oven). Don't worry about communication. Finished ^ _− ☆

Kazuma offers amazing hospitality and responds very quickly when you have any questions or need help. The room itself was cozy, but I would say it would comfortably fit 2 with no problem. I would compare the room to a studio apartment in America. I can’t recommend staying at his Airbnb enough! I felt comfortable and safe the entire time.

Perfect spot if you are planning to make Osaka as a base while travelling. Kazuma’s place is close to two stations - Higashimikuni (subway station, 10min walk) and Shin-Osaka (JR stn, 15 min walk). Kazuma is a very good host.

Good location and clean space!

The apartment was very clean, the arrival procedure very clear and easy. The staff was reactive in case of problems. Being able to take the pocket wifi with us during the day is highly appreciated. The only small thing that could make it better is the possibility to empty the garbage during our stay (we stayed one week and the garbage started to stink after 4days, the balcony option is not very practical). Otherwise we had a great stay. The location isn't bad, you can walk to some places or take the bus quite easily to the other tourists spots

An absolutely wonderful and authentic space in the middle of Gion. I recommend this stay especially if you’re a solo traveler or couple, as it’s the perfect compact size to be cozy and extremely comfortable. I stayed in winter and it was very warm, with a wonderful bathroom to take the chill off the mornings. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive, too! Definitely stay here if you’re looking for a different kind of authentic, local lifestyle.

very good! I booked a room with a courtyard on the first floor. There are two toilets and bathrooms on the first floor. They are shared, but it seems that the set of toilets and bathrooms that are close to the room was only used by us. The room is well heated and sleeps very warm. There is a large supermarket ten minutes away nearby. It takes about seven or eight minutes to walk to the station, and you can walk to the main gate of Nijo Castle.

Wonderful house: 200 years old, made of wood but with modern facilities. Incredible atmosphere. Classical Japanese way of living: sleeping on a futon, no shoes in the house (on the tatami). Last but not least: a very kind and helping host!

Our stay at Shogo’s place was amazing! We felt very welcomed and got great recommendations and tips from him about Kyoto. The place was very clean, spacious, well-equipped and had everything we needed. The location was good; it was quiet, the area felt safe and not touristy. Even with heavy suitcases the walk from the train station didn’t feel too far. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Kyoto for a few days.

We loved staying at Shogo's house. Such a rare find! If you find yourself in Kyoto anytime soon, I cannot recommend this Airbnb enough! It's a 200+ year old house that's been renovated with modern amenities. Amazing location in a quiet area of Kyoto right near Nijo station. Shogo also gave us some great food recommendations. We hope to return again soon!

A highly recommended, Kyoto-style house. There are buses and subways nearby as well as direct buses to the airport. The traffic is very convenient and the environment is quiet. The space is comfortable and spacious, and the house is neat and clean. The host Shogo was also very enthusiastic and was very happy to make this decision. My friends and I are looking forward to staying again next time.

Shogo's place is such a gem! The interior design of the home is impeccable. Shogo was great to communicate with and it was nice to meet him in person. The machiya is located close to a train station...and it's a JR line, so if you have a pass that's a huge bonus. It's really close to Nijo castle too. Shogo is also a great help with lots of local tips. We would definitely stay here again!
