Vacation rentals with lake access in Kyoto

As I saw in the photos in advance, the exterior, and interior were beautiful, and I was surprised by the cleanliness that exceeded my expectations.The entire room was carefully cleaned and well organized, and we had a very pleasant stay.The water around the toilet and bathroom was also perfectly cleaned. There were plenty of toys for toddlers in the room, and the children had a pleasant time without getting bored.It was also very helpful that we were able to park two cars on the premises. Regarding the surrounding environment, it is every quiet during the day and at night because of the residential area.There is a supermarket (Heiwado) less than 10 minutes on foot, so I don't think you will have any trouble shopping for ingredients. Overall, there was nothing frustrating about it.To put it bluntly, there was only one large size frying pan for the number of stoves in the kitchen, so it was a bit of a hassle to navigate multiple dishes at the same time.But this is a minor point. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and we had a wonderful time thanks to the host.This is a great facility that you can confidently recommend to others for cleanliness, amenities, and convenience.

Our stay at Yamashita’s beautiful 100-year-old Japanese villa in Kyoto was the perfect way to end our 2 week vacation in Japan. The house is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped, perfect for our group of 12. It has everything you need and more. It has a serene garden, jacuzzi, and sauna—the kids especially loved the jacuzzi! Yamashita is an EXCEPTIONAL host—very warm, helpful, and accommodating. She drove us to supermarkets and places we wanted to go and even picked us up for a small fee. She prepared simple yet delicious breakfasts. She was quick to respond to messages and even guided us on using local buses. Though the house is a bit far from the touristy areas, the peace and quiet of Yamashita’s home made it the perfect retreat. It offered a more authentic and relaxing experience of Japan. I highly recommend Yamashita’s villa to anyone looking for comfort, culture, and outstanding hospitality. And to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in a traditional Japanese home.

We loved the traditional style of the home! We wanted to stay away from the touristy areas and get a feel for real Japanese life and this place was perfect! A short train ride from Kyoto, the area had a nice grocery store and local restaurants near the train station and a great entertainment area near the lake. The area was very quiet. Communication was great and home was very clean. We will definitely stay here again when we return! Highly recommend!

Guesthouse Hotori met and exceeded our expectations. The house is nicely furnished and has everything you need. The host Tsuu is also extremely friendly, helpful and always available. She even sent us a forgotten item immediately on the day of check-out. Would recommend this place right away!

Azalea House is a truly lovely experience in all ways. Momoko and Tsutomu are very kind, helpful and will make your stay a great experience. Highly recommend this stay!!

The place was really good to stay at. If you're staying in Winter and Spring where the weather is colder, walking to the accommodation would be great! As the walk from the nearest train station is quite a distance, might not wanna do it during summer. But the place is really cozy and homely. Facilities and amenities were great too!

This nice, spacious and conveniently arranged house is located in a very nice neighborhood of Kyoto. Matuda was very quick to respond if something wasn't completely clear. We (family with boys aged 13&16) stayed here with a lot of pleasure.
