Places to stay in Roundwood
Back to nature in this tranquil little wooden building, beautiful antique windows reveal a gentle vista of rolling hills and open skies. It's Ireland's answer to glamping, (with a solid roof over your head ;) ) yet the feeling of being out in nature.
This is a glamping experience, it is a warm, dry, insulated wooden cabin with a comfortable bed and lovely views. Be prepared to wander through the garden to kitchen and w.c. Umbrella and torch provided. Wifi available in the kitchen cabin, not in the Cosy Cabin itself. Experience the exquisite night-time quiet of the countryside, awaken to the soothing cooing of woodpigeons and the country sounds of rooster 'Jenkins' and his flock of happy hens. Lounge in the garden as Red Kites soar overhead and, in season, snack on organic produce, especially our sweet organic grapes from the polytunnel. Look up at the milkyway sketched across the night sky and inhale sweet clean air. The cabin accommodates 2 people, it has its own solar power supply, its south-east facing big windows provide beautiful views of the surroundings. The bed is a comfortable double and there's a fold out table and chairs and an outdoor picnic table. BREAKFAST: A basket of breakfast goodies will be provided for you to dine at your leisure. A 30 meter stroll through the garden brings you to the kitchen and a wc/shower room which are housed in a separate cabin. You are welcome to cook in the communal kitchen and make teas and coffee (provided) whenever you please. The kitchen has a small fridge, two hot plates and pots and pans. You'll be sharing the kitchen with other guests, you also have the option to eat in your cabin or at your private picnic table. We have a garden Chimenea and you are welcome to light a fire there. But we ask you to bring your own fuel, a bag of logs or bale of briquettes and fire-lighters.
"There is not in this wide world a valley so sweet" Stroll from the house to the beautiful Avondale Arboretum with the Avonmore river flowing down from the Wicklow National Park to the Meeting-of-the-Waters made famous by Thomas Moore's song. A twenty minute drive will bring you to the golden sands of Brittas bay or the stunning beauty of Glendalough. Rathdrum nestles in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains and offers direct access to all the beauty "The Garden of Ireland" has to offer. The Wicklow Way & Lugnaquilla mountain are some of the nearby hiking highlights. The Clara Lara Funpark and Greenane Maze and Farm Museum are great for kids. And not to forget the beautiful Avondale Forest Park just a 15min walk from your cabin, the riverwalk there is simply stunning. Have a look at our other listing so you can book for a whole family.

  • We loved this place! If you’re looking for an extraordinary accommodation, definitely book a night or two with Fiona and Edwin. The breakfast was amazing and so caringly prepared (with fresh eggs from their own hens!). We stayed in the smaller of the two cabins (indeed a “cozy cabin”) which was perfect and brought us back to the basics. You don’t need WiFi to go to sleep and it’s much nicer to wake up to the wind blowing through the bushes than cars speeding past your window!

    Veronika2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • I’m astonished as the landowners are so dedicated in each detail. We loved everything! It's a great place to rest. We had a memorable moment there! Thanks!

  • The place was fantastic. There was a storm while we stayed there but we were still comfortable and cosy in the cabin. The breakfast was a really nice touch too! Would highly recommend the place.

Selena’s place is the perfect location with so many attractions within easy reach. We were warmly welcomed by Selena and her family. • This was the perfect farm getaway! We enjoyed roaming around the farm, watching the animals, and curling up next to the fire in the evenings! Great stay!

    Wendy2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house was cute and cozy! Fireplace warmed us and a hot bath nice. Bed had heating blanket’s if needed but we slept great without them. We choose to pay more and eat breakfast with family. Breakfast was great but company even better. The pub they recommended had great food and was a brewery. What really made it was the special beers and being only 10 minutes away by car. The girls even enjoyed a beer that was a cross between a cider and smooth light beer. Ginger beer. Would definitely recommend it for a real farm experience.

    Gary2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Such a cute cottage away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Location was close to many hiking trails and the scenery was amazing! You’ll miss out if you don’t book with Selena!!!

    Charsie2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The farm of Selena and Alex is a perfect place to switch off, warm up next to the warm oven in rainy weather and go on great trips. All animals are very tame and trusting - you are greeted with love and get your money's worth when cuddling. The fields are what you would imagine Ireland to be, and even in February there were cute lambs. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired - you can borrow shoes on site to explore the farm. Communication works great - that's why it can be recommended without any restrictions!

    Irina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Selena was great about communicating and had the cutest little cottage room for us to stay in. Fire was nice, but we had such cold days and being out all day it was a bit hard to keep it as warm as we would’ve liked. Although Selena kept heated blankets on the beds and lots of wood to stock up the fire so we managed just fine once we got it up and roaring! We definitely had a good time exploring Wicklow, hiking, and having a can of Guinness while hanging out by the fire at night. Definitely worth the experience if you want to enjoy the real farmland of Ireland. (I really loved feeding the chickens and ducks) :)

    Allison2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for “rustic”, as I was, this is the perfect place for you.

    Kam2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing opportunity! A chance to really work on a farm was a dream for this city girl. The cottage was very comfortable and quiet. Lots of places right on the farm to walk and explore. Hosts were great and offered lots of info regarding the area and things to do.

    Denise2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • SpringFarm is a beautiful and idyllic working farm which considering being located in the rural Irish countryside is only a 10 minute drive from the nearest motorway. The accommodation itself is a 3 roomed traditional cottage with a bedroom, bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen/dinning room which hosts an amazing little log burner fire. Awaiting you is an information book pertaining to the farm and things to do and see in the area as well as pans, cutlery and condiments. The hosts Alex and Selena are absolutely brilliant; despite leaving you to come and go and explore as you please they are always happy to help and assist in any way they can. We felt very comfortable and at home here we did also have some car issues whilst we were over here and they literally bent over backwards to do everything they could to help us out. No areas of the farm were off limits we had a lot of fun venturing through the surrounding fields taking in the breathtaking countryside and meeting all the animals along the way. Long story short this is a fantastic little place to stay for anybody who is looking to enjoy and explore the true countryside. Thank you so much for having us we are very much hoping to come out and stay with you again soon 😁

  • Fantastic cottage in peaceful rural location. Convenient to many lovely local walks and village of Rathdrum. The cottage is modern, warm, clean and comfortable. Situated on a large garden with total privacy (despite cottage being close to main house) and rural views. Cottage has a well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, wood burning stove and decent shower. Tom and Ellie are great hosts and an environmentally conscious family. It’s lovely to see what they’ve done with their land re: growing food and trees and keeping pigs. The fact the place is pet friendly is an added bonus. Highly recommended and great value.

  • Tom’s place was lovely, the perfect place for a relaxing weekend. The cottage has everything you need, from cooking supplies to jigsaws and dvd’s. There was also a folder full of helpful information, including details of nearby walks with beautiful views. We would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay again. • Tom’s place is clean and tidy, it has a comfortable layout with everything you need for a couple to stay. We brought our dogs and it was great to see them made welcome also. The fire was lit for us when we arrived which was cosy. The kitchen has lots of bits and pieces in it rather than being bare of food and everything we needed was there. Tom was friendly, made sure we had what we needed and was happy to talk to us about finding things to do.

    Lyndsay2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage in a really nice setting. Really close to a lot of amazing sites in Wicklow, we really enjoyed hiking Glendalough and walking Brittas Bay beach. Facilities in the cottage are great, perfect for cooking a meal and relaxing in front of the fire for the evening. Loads of really helpful tips of sites to see in the area. We really enjoyed our stay here, as did our dog who spent most of the evenings running around with the dogs who live there. We will be definitely be back.

    Christopher2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tom's place was ideal - great facilities, lovely setting and Tom was really helpful and friendly. Tom and Elli's guidebook of local tips was particularly helpful. Both of us and our dog had a fab weekend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for any future Wicklow adventures.

    Ballinaclash, County Wicklow, Ireland

Imagine a charming guesthouse only 40 minutes by car from Dublin, yet utterly pastoral and romantic, in the heart of the beautiful Garden County and within a few minutes of great walking in famous Glendalough! Unwind in this cosy home and let your hostess spoil you with delicious breakfasts of homemade scones and full Irish included in price...or if you prefer you can self cater!
My space is cosy and imaginatively decorated with feminine colour schemes and homely touches. There is a lovely family-friendly room with comfy king double bed (orthopaedic mattress) and comfy bed sofa which can be used for a child or for an adult. However, the room works equally well as a romantic space. There is another really lovely king double (master bedroom) with added queen single with sizeable marble en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. There are two other pretty rooms one with queen-size 4ft single bed and one with European double 4ft 6". All rooms are ensuite. I think my listing is unique because of the wealth of horse riding, garden touring and walking opportunities in the locality. Apart from the Wicklow National Park and wonderful Glendalough a few minutes away by car, there's also the stunning Brittas Bay beach only half an hour away by car. Ashford itself is a charming and friendly village which boasts the famous Mount Usher Gardens, inspired by the great English Romantic gardens of 100 years ago. Special features of my space are the fact that I can do lovely afternoon teas (in the drawing room or lavender terrace €18 pp) as I am an artisan baker. I can also give baking classes for those who are especially keen to learn to bake. €30 per baking class which teaches scones and soda bread. Dinner is €25 for nibbles hearty country house style main course and small dessert or €15 for just main course. All welcome to BYOB. The maximum my space fits would be 9 people (3 in the family double room 1 adult per single room with queensize 4ft bed 3 in the master bedroom with added single bed and 2 in the smaller double). I also have two handy travel cots for babies.
There is such a wealth of beauty and amazing scenery for the nature lover, it's hard to know where to begin! The absolutely stunning views from the famous Glendalough walks...the lovely little Wicklow villages...the vale of Avoca, the views from the top of Wicklow town which are like Antibes with magnificent coastal views and basking seals. Wonderful Brittas Bay beach is the perfect place for a romantic walk with your loved one or a playful day with children. And there are great horse riding opportunities in Glendalough, in Bel Air Hotel in Ashford and in Boswell Equestrian Centre, (just around the corner from me). Wicklow is also a very popular place for cyclists and there are many beautiful and scenic routes. It is possible to hire bikes locally. Also, there is fine dining in The Wicklow Heather, Laragh, The Lighthouse restaurant Wicklow and the famous Bates of Rathdrum. And for the traditional diner, there is always fabulous Hunters Hotel near Ashford for the perfect Sunday lunch or romantic dinner for two. In addition, there is the charming and friendly Chester Beatty pub in Ashford with a lovely menu, and there is Avoca Garden Cafe in Mount Usher Courtyard in Ashford.
  • I do not know where to start to tell about this lovely place. This is a wonderful house with romantic touches and all necessary amenities. En-suite Bathroom in master bedroom had almost everything I may need, this was so thoughtful and more than I could imagine. The living room with an openfire is a lovely spot that makes you feel at home. We stayed at master bedroom and this room had a corner sofa which we just kept watching the rain and enjoy our cup of teas when we arrived. It was so cosy. Handmade scones at Breakfast was again thoughtfulness of great host Eleanor. She is a energetic person and also very kind at same time. She picked us up from village and gave us enjoyable tour around the village. I cannot recommend enough this place to everyone who looks for a runaway from the city. Keep in mind Eleanor has a great taste of romantic touches you may enjoy.

We wish we’d stayed longer to explore the breathtaking surrounding countryside. I could note recommend staying here highly enough, a great experience and we were certainly extremely well fed. • Anya and Carl’s place was a great place to stay on our last 2 nights in Ireland. We really enjoyed the cabin and everything was great. Carl greeted us and showed us around and delivered fresh breakfast both mornings. The cabin is well payed out and close to a lot of things if you need to get out for a bit and only about 50 mins from the airport. Highly recommend.

Built beside the sea, this is a bird sanctuary and a nature reserve. Neptune was a small holiday home. Rebuilt eight years ago. It's small, modern and bright.
On the beach and the nature trail 'The Wicklow Way' is at the doorstep.
  • Miriam's house is in a nice location right next to the beach. Miriam was away while we were there so we had the house to ourselves, including the use of all the amenities, which made our stay even more good value. Miriam was very friendly and happy for us to use or borrow things, including trusting us to use the fireplace, and letting us borrow her dry robe after a swim in the sea! Some things to note - the listing says there is WiFi but this is currently not the case, though apparently it will be sorted in the future, and the listing says there is an iron, which is correct, but there is no ironing board. And finally, there are now two kittens living in the house - this was great for us as we love cats, but they have free roam of the house and are very active so you definitely need to be a cat person to stay here at the moment!

    Beth2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • In the end we were not able to spend the night at Miriam due to issues with transport and Miriam was super understanding and gave us a refund. We were very upset because the area looks beautiful! Would recommend

There is no TV and for me this is a bug positive. Instead we lit the log burner poured a few drinks and played cards! Thanks for having us

The lone traveler, Wicklow Town, Glendalough one of Ireland's most beautiful visitors' destinations only short distance from my AirBnB, , one room is dedicated to sharing and caring, some times you could have the room to yourself, or be sharing with another lone traveler like yourself. , this was Li said "Love the vibe of the house! The decoration is outstanding! It's cool to see different people from different countries in the house as well
Cool funky relaxed comfortable dwelling. Simple as that
    Very quiet neighborhood
  • Its a great spot for those looking to stay somewhere inexpensive but also enjoy the company of others. He made fresh bread and a hearty dinner! It felt like a family atmosphere with the other travelers there. He’s got so much knowledge of food and mental development. Definitely recommended!

  • Risteard was a great host! There was so much hospitality, a great dinner and breakfast that he prepared, and even drove me from the town of Wicklow to his home! It was truly an amazing air bnb experience and one I won’t forget!

  • Hello, It was great to live with the Airbnb host these few days. It is a place who wants to relax, music ... and is cheap in comparison with the prices of other places! Tasty breakfast, fresh homemade bread, and sometimes even dinner like at home! Super host! With good humor! I recommend to all :) And thanks for Super Host! :)

  • Risteard is well deserving of his super host title I enjoyed my stay at Wicklow I felt at home as comfortable.

    Zola-David2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great experience. Risteard is a great man, very helpful and laid back. I came down to fresh porridge both mornings and happened across a dinner he had made for himself and some other guests and he had quickly insisted that I help myself to everything he made. I was feeling a bit unwell, and he offered some remedies to ease my symptoms, as well as driving me to the train station the day I left. The price was good, the place is nice, the host is great, and his dog is a sweetheart, I definitely recommend it.

We are located very close to Tinakilly house and only a few min away.

  • Patrick and Anne are great hosts and did everything they could to make us feel at home for our long stay. The location is great, its proximity to public transit made going into Bray and Dublin easy and painless. I’m very glad to have stayed here!

    Madison2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Patrick's place was great! It was in a very quiet neighborhood, it was very nice to take a walk in the morning to go to the seafront. When he can, Patrick offered himself to take me to the seafront by car. All his family was very kind. Really nothing bad to say, I also had breakfast in the morning. I couldn't ask for nothing more. :)

  • Bray is an attractive seaside town with excellent train and bus connections to Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock and Stillorgan. There are a great many small Shops, charity Shops and Cafes, and some decent Pubs, plus an excellent promenade along the Seafront. Patrick and Anne live a little way out of town, probably 15 minutes by foot, but the 145 bus goes through Bray and then on to Dublin, and normally arrives every 10 minutes, and the Bus Stop is about 200 hundred yards from Pat's front door, and there is also a local shop where necessities can be bought Patrick was always willing to offer the daily paper or a cup of tea, and tried to make me feel welcome, for a stay which lasted over 2 months and where we had really no problems. Anne organised everything else, I had access to a washing machine and the lounge, with a personal fridge and some space to keep anything which I bought to eat or drink. The bedroom was relatively small, but comfortable and equipped with a small computer table from which I could do some work when necessary All in all very good hosts and a very pleasant location

  • Bernie's place is perfectly located in Bray, close to pretty much everything! Bernie, Leon and Aran were amazing hosts and provided me with a soft spot to land when moving to Ireland. Will definitely pop in for a visit when I can again :-)

  • The location of the house is perfect to visit Dublin and Wicklow mountains at the same time, as it takes very little time to get to both places. Bray itself is a really nice place for a weekend, and this house is situated in a quiet area just a couple of minutes far from the beach and restaurants. The house is full of beautiful paintings and the decoration is really nice. Everything was tidy and clean. But best of all was that they made us feel at home. We will repeat

This is a real forest getaway nestled in the Wicklow mountains. With a delightful, airy apartment, accessed by a long, tree-lined driveway, you're only a mere five min drive/20 min cycle from Roundwood village. Set in 55 acres of natural woodland, abundant with native Irish wildlife. Tranquil setting, close to local restaurants and traditional pubs. Lovely walks on-site with river access. Located close to Glendalough; Wicklow Way; and Powerscourt demesne.
Our apartments have windowed frontage, that gives the feeling of light and space. As you open your door, the countryside is all around, just a few steps and you are in the forest. It is an old established habitat to a variety of native species, such as red squirrels, pine martins, deer foxes and badgers. It is truly a tranquil spot, with no street lights to mar the stars at night. The silence is remarkable, with no traffic , just the birds calling in the trees.
Whilst secluded, our place is just 4 km from Roundwood, a small village , but that can supply your necessities, but also can offer some music and craic in the evenings, with its 5 traditional pubs. Nearby is Glendalough, an old monastic site, which is a remarkable place that will still your mind, inspire your heart and fill your soul. Hill walking on the Wicklow way, Kayaking , horse riding, Clara Lara Fun Park, Powerscourt House and Gardens are all within easy access.
  • Just returned from a 3 night stay during February Half Term at Pegs place with my 2 daughters aged 8 & 9 years old. We hired a little car from Dublin airport, which I would say is essential for this area to make sure you get to see everything around. Everything about our stay was perfect. Peg was so welcoming, and also we met her husband Patrick who was also very welcoming and gave advice on the local area. My 2 daughters got stuck in with the local children and the horses at the stables, and rode 2 days in a row. Beautiful stables and horses, and friendly dogs. Deer right outside the door of the cabin! We managed to go to many of the local sightseeing spots, and catch up with old friends in Enniskerry. Weather wasn't great (but it is February!) but kids didn't seem to notice as they were having so much fun outside! Went on lots of walks around the surrounding forests - wellies essential at this time of year! Really beautiful area and stunning scenery and wildlife all around. The apartment was lovely and warm and had everything we could have needed and more. Very comfortable indeed. My girls haven't stopped talking about it since we returned last night and both want to go back this year during the summer holidays. They loved hanging with the local kids at the stables who welcomed them and showed them the ropes. All in all it was a lovely trip and I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again. Everything was perfect. Thanks to Peg and everyone at the stables who welcomed us x

  • Very good place, even more if you like the horses. Walk around very beautifully. Apartment clean, very close to Roundwood by car (5mn). Thanks for these 3 days.

  • I stayed a week end in Peg's studio with a colleague after a week of professionnal travel in Dublin. It was a very nice spot to discover the Wicklow mountains. The studio is clean, fully equipped. We arrived late and Peg set up everything befofe, making sure our arrival would be OK. Thank you very much.

  • Amazing stay at Pegs place. The pictures don't do it justice as it is a such a relaxing and welcoming space, with generous amenities, cosy, very scenic and stylish. Then you have the beautiful deer and horses casually munching away by the fields, it was always a welcome delight. In terms of hospitality Peg, Patrick and Andy are super responsive and very helpful. I genuinely cant wait to go back... Highly recommend this place!!

  • Excellent location for exploring the Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough area. Our accommodations were clean, cozy, and comfortable. David and Leah were great hosts. They offered suggestions for dinner, suggested checking out their property down by the river, and even let us feed the donkeys. If you love animals, be sure to visit with the donkeys and take the extra time to walk down to the water. Their property was beautiful. We wish we had more time there.

Risteard playing guitar on his coffee table and his dancing daughter ended up all drawing! Petals is situated in a rural setting, yet only a five minute drive to to Greystones village and DART station. Also not far away are the towns of Bray, Dun Laoghaire and Dublin City to the north. And we are a short drive away from Glendalough, Enniskerry and the heart of the garden of Ireland - Co Wicklow. Great for country walks and seaside strolls. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the neighbourhood and the comfy bed. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Petals is for the use of guests solely and is situated in our back garden. Guests will be able to access the room via the side passage making it convenient for coming and going. The Room has it's own toilet facilities and shower, as well as a Kitchenette with Kettle, Microwave and Fridge.
  • A lovely place with lots of beautiful neighborhoods and villages to walk around. The Whistle Stop down the street was a convenient place to stock up on supplies too, within walking distance! There were a number of thoughtful things Grace did while we were staying that I really appreciated. Oh! And the garden around the place was REALLY lovely!

    Brant2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • An address to remember, a warm Irish welcome and a nice little nest. Well connected by bus as much for Greystones, Bray or Dublin. Grace is a charming hostess. I highly recommend.

  • Grace is one of the best hosts i‘ve ever met. Checking-in was super easy and Petals is just lovely, really nice interior and she even got a selection of teas or cereals you can choose from. The location is also great - there‘s a bus stop 1 minute away and it takes around 1 hour to get to Dublin. Grace is extremly nice and caring, she even baked us some muffins. We just had an overall perfect experience and felt very welcome.

  • Staying at Marie's was really a joy. The room and the house were really comfortable, the breakfast was really nice and thoughtful, and Marie was really good to talk to. If you're coming to the Wicklow mountains, this really is a recommendation!

  • Marie was a wonderful host, we felt very welcome and had a great stay in her big house with lots of details in furniture and accessories and had a great breakfast. Her beautiful garden is rather a park definitely worth a walk, even now in autumn there were still many plants blossoming!

  • Marie was such a wonderful host and made us feel so welcome. Lovely home and comfortable room, felt right at home! Recommend the best place for lunch and the location was beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here!

  • Marie’s place was our introduction to Ireland and served as a fantastic base to explore Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains. The location was excellent. As for the room and house itself, it was all superb. The room was nice and spacious. The house was beautiful and the gardens around the house were spectacular, even with it being October. The amenities were great, and the breakfast served was fantastic, including homemade bread and marmalade. The best part of the stay was Marie herself. She immediately made us feel at home from the moment we stepped through her door. She helped us settle in quickly and was very attentive to our needs and offered great recommendations for around the area and our trip in general. I cannot say enough great things about Marie and the accommodations she is offering. We would stay there again anytime.

    Jeremy2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Marie’s place was absolutely wonderful! I was astonished that the flowers still looked so beautiful at the beginning of October. Her place is centrally located for Glendalough, Laragh, and the Wicklow mountains which are the places I explored prior to going to the B&B. Marie and her son, Paul, were both outstanding hosts. I enjoyed talking to them and getting tips for my travels! Her homemade bread was excellent. I will definitely stay at Marie’s again if I return to Ireland in the future.

Our off-grid Tiny House is nestled in amongst a grove of pine trees in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains. With an airy loft bed space, large kitchen and complete tiny bathroom, our cute little cottage in the country is the perfect place to relax. 45 min drive into the heart of Dublin City or short train ride. Close to lots of walking trails. Popular cycling route. 5 min drive from town.
Tiny House living means a more simple way of living, however walking into the space it feels much bigger than expected. The cosy bedroom loft has a roof window so you can watch the stars at night or the birds and clouds float passed during the day. Simply slide the ladder across the rail to climb up into the loft sleeping space! A small fridge, oven, stove and everything else you need to make a big feast, in a small house! Our Tiny House is very well insulated and has gas fire to keep you cosy in the Winter. The house is fully off grid and runs on solar electricity and rain fall tank water (we recommend to bring your own drinking water), compost toilet, gas heating and cooking. NOTE: Because this is an off-grid house there is a chance one of the systems may not work (e.g. if there has not been sun for a long time the solar battery will have no power). The house is equipped with a trouble-shooting guide to assist if this is the case. It is all part of the fun of the off-grid experience!
The Wicklow Mountains are beautiful with lots of walking trails and natural sites. The Lane our tiny house is on is a beautiful walk on its own, and we have a lovely view of Sugarloaf Mountain. It is a very peaceful area with lots of birds and trees. 5 min drive to Newtown MountKennedy, a small town with a Dunnes Store supermarket and restaurants. 10 min walk to Djouce Golf Club 17 min drive to Guinness Lake 24 min drive to Glendalough 15 min drive to the ocean (Greystones) 40 min drive into Dublin City or a short train ride from Greystones Station
  • The place is unbelievable. It's cozy unconnected and all you need to enjoy a great time on the calm Wicklow. Evething around and perfect.. the communication was good with the owners and the staff.

  • We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the lovely tiny house und the beautiful natural surrounding!

    Adina2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny home is beautiful, scenic, and charming, with more than enough amenities to make an off-grid experience surpass most other plugged-in homes. The home is remote yet ideally located within the Wicklow mountains, an easy distance from neighboring towns and hikes. The care which the owners put into its design, construction, and maintenance is apparent in every detail. We would highly recommend this space to anyone interested in staying in Wicklow!

    Henry2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Emma’s place is a little piece of calm: a great opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. It is beautiful up in the mountains where the tiny house is! The tiny house is really cosy and welcoming. It has thoughtful little touches and decor that make you feel at home. It is well equipped and there is lots of information on local things to do (which is great when you’re there to do a bit of hiking/sightseeing). We would definitely come back!

    Scott2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Emma was always available, if you had questions and knew everything a quick answer! The cottage itself was really cute and we felt like in our own little cottage Sweden! For people who want to experience a first Tiny House experience (like us), "The Rocks" is really recommended!

  • Sandra's home was clean and bright. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Kilcoole is a cool little town. There was a market store that served up the best omelet. I golfed twice during my stay two great courses near by Druids Glen and Wicklow CC. Sandra was also very hospitable. Nice to talk to.

  • I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Bridie's. The accommodation is nicer than photos suggest. Bridie gave me a warm welcome and showed me all I needed to know for my stay. It was very clean, comfortable and peaceful.

  • Lovely and quiet place close to Sugarloaf and Powerscourt Waterfall. Room looked better than I've expected from the pictures, all was clean and comfortable. Hosts were very nice and helpful. I can only recommend! Note for those who are planning to go to Ballybawn without car: make sure you'll have enough food supplies for your stay, because there are no shops or restaurants nearby.

  • This was my first time using Air B&B so to be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my worries were gone straight away after meeting Bridie and Edward. The room was really cosy with a lovely touch of the scented candle and there was a sitting room made available also. Lovely friendly people who went out of their way to help us, couldn’t ask for more. Great location also only 15 minutes drive from Bray Main Street, and house itself set in great scenery. Couldn’t recommend this host enough to people.

  • Janette was an excellent host, helping me adjust to living in Ireland. Her and her children were incredibly friendly. I booked a 3 wk stay while finding permanent lodgings in Dublin after relocating to Ireland from Canada. Nice quiet Irish house in a beautiful location. Greystones has a small town feel, but is easily accessible to Dublin center via public transit (bus/Dart). Unfortunately I had to cut my stay short, but I would stay again when I return to Dublin. Highly recommend!

  • Great stay at Janettes place, very flexible and accommodating with arrival time, fantastic inviting host, offered use of kitchen for coffee etc, room clean, bed and pillows comfortable and warm, you couldn't ask for anything better for such a reasonable price. Would have no problem recommending for others, bus right outside the door, so easy to commute in and out of Dublin, happily stay again, thanks

Perfect location for the many activities and sights in Co Wicklow. Bathroom (with shower attachment in bath) is next door to bedroom so almost ensuite! A car is necessary.
We have a beautiful home to share in a picturesque and pretty village in Wicklow. It is a perfect central location in the County for those who want to tour the many attractions of Co Wicklow.
  • A beautiful place and comfortable space to relax in, with attentive, welcoming hosts.

  • We highly recommend Jane's house and her family. Everything was perfect, we had a nice night and loved the little touches. Thank you and good luck.

  • Jane and her beautiful family guested us in a clean and big size room in the countryside of Wicklow, with private and totally safe parking. The large bathroom is just outside bedroom's door: you have to pass thru a common space but privacy is anyway total. Breakfast's spot is really well organized and can satisfy both the than true cofee lovers. If you need a spot near Wicklow National Park (Jane can also suggest you amazing trails to do there) and just 1 hour from Dublin, her lovely house is the perfect choice. We really hope we can spent other time here in future.

  • Jane has been a great host. We attended a wedding in Brooklodge and though we came back late in the evening, it was no problem with Jane. The house is very lovely and clean. The room itself is very spacious and the bed is great. Communication with Jane was also smooth and she was very accommodating when we checked in. Would love to stay again if we are back in the area.
