In 2004 I got the chance to design my own family's week-end house in the village Pigniu. This fabulous place at 1300 meters above sea in the Surselva Region of Graubünden province, above the Town Ilanz, was well-known to me, for my parents owned an old farmhouse until the 1980ies here. The Spiral shaped chalet has the form of a band, changing from concrete in the base to wooden shingles upwards. The house is designed to connect us to the landscape we love. You will heat with chopped wood.

My place is perfect for families and couples who would like to relax, walk into the woods and hike. A rustic house in the Walser village on the sunny slope above the Rhine Valley in Chur. It is the starting point for a skiing vacation in the small and large areas of the region. Hikes from the house. By car, it is 15 minutes to Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland. The house has a fireplace, large flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and cozy living room.
