The Old Milking Parlour

AndyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Amazing place to stay. In a nice quiet location but the main shops are only a 10 min drive away (Tesco’s etc). The accommodation is exactly as described and contains everything you need for a break away. Definitely recommend this place to stay if you are looking to visit Wookey Hole, Longleat Safari and Bath (which is what we did!).

Court Farm Cottage 'Elsewhere'

MannieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We loved our stay hosted by Gus at the cottage! What a lovely welcome with a cute basket full of goodies. We picked this stay due to my 2 year old who is obsessed with farmland/ tractors and this was the perfect location. Elsewhere cottage is a lovely space for a family of 4 (2 year old and 8 month old). Bedrooms were spacious , kitchen was tidy and offered all that was needed for our 4 night stay. Gus’s outdoor space is amazing and fantastic when you have young children - thank you allowing us to roam freely around your private space including the tractors! Please also extend our gratitude to Colin who we met on Friday evening, he allowed my son to look around his hanger and of course he found more tractors. We’ll definitely be back for sure! Thank you again Gus you was super!

🌳 Forest Lodge🌲 Family Friendly Woodland Cottage 🐔

MichaelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our stay at Jo's Forest Lodge and were blessed with beautiful Spring weather. Jo was a great host, always helpful but never intrusive. The house suited us perfectly with all basic amenities and felt like home. The location is great, and in only a few steps we found ourselves exploring a lovely woodland. We loved the spacious garden and seeing the hens pottering about, and one evening were delighted to see a deer strolling by. Each day we went out to National Trust properties, several of which are in very easy reach of the house and were all great to visit. We came in our Electric Vehicle, and found good chargers in nearby Street. So thank you, Jo for a very restful, renewing and enjoyable few days!

The Stableblock at Gothelney Farm

RachelRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We stayed as a family with our young kids and had a brilliant time! The space particularly the lounge is huge! We really enjoyed seeing the pigs & piglets, playing with the dogs and enjoyed watching TV from the projector. We had a great outing to Kilve beach and enjoyed fossil hunting for the morning. We bought some bread, bakes and pork from the farm (farm shop now open on a Friday) which was all delicious. We would come again!

Cosy Eco Cabin on an Organic farm

SamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Cabin was peaceful and clean. The compost toilet was the nicest compost toilet I've used - easy-to-use and well presented. The close proximity to the farm shop and cafe was excellent, especially the quality and price of the farm shop foods and beverages. Also, Lizzie was a friendly and helpful host who made the Cabin feel like home.

Luxury secluded Shepherds Hut with hot tub

BenRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Claire was extremely hospitable and helpful and she made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and we were even allowed to feed the animals on the farm. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable and finished immaculately. The hot tub was even warm, ready for our arrival. We do lots of air b and b weekend breaks and this was definitely up there with the best of them. Exceptional value for money, we will definitely return one day.

Swallows’ Retreat

LeeRating, 5 starstoday
Excellent place for a little getaway with my partner. Christine and Ron went above and beyond to make it special. The place itself is beautiful, the hot tub is fantastic with a lovely view that is secluded so that you can have some privacy. Was a really great touch to have molton brown wash products, never had this before but went down very well. This place has everything you need.

Kingfisher cabin in secluded Dorset woodland

CherylRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Chesters mum Sarah was a brilliant host & made us feel welcome. Great communication with clear instructions beforehand. What can I say....if you want peaceful surroundings in a lovely cabin with plenty of birds, squirrels & deer then this is the place for you! we loved watching the woodpeckers, jay's & other woodland birds at the feeder. A compact rustic cabin with everything we needed. It was a treat to feed Henry the Sika deer & his tribe of fallow deer along with Ben & Jerry the little muntjacs. Plenty of places to visit in the area. In particular we enjoyed RSPB Arne, Chesil Beach & Portland Bill, and the walk from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door (worth the steep climb) & back again. We never made it to the local pub as the weather was lovely so we opted to sit by the pond outside our cabin watching the wildlife. Bliss.

Luxury lodging, doorstep Exmoor walks and cycling

AnnaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A stunning property, beautifully decorated and light and airy with gorgeous views across the valley. Lovely big rooms. Parking for two small cars side by side and a larger car behind. Wasn't expecting other properties directly adjacent but they were quiet and you only noticed them when on the drive or going to the outside toilet. The gardens is enclosed but the fence could be easily jumped by an active pooch. You can also walk along the roads to Dulverton, although the road can get quiet busy and narrow in places. We really enjoyed our stay and would easily recommend for others looking for a quiet place to meet friends and family.

Luxury Exmoor Barn with Sauna

LouiseRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A beautiful place to stay. Stunning beams in the bedroom, very well restored, spotless modern bathroom with infa red sauna and electric shower. Lots of wildlife can be heard at night. Fantastic wood burner with under floor heating downstairs. Easy walk to Exford. Great village shop with all you need and 2 pubs. We drove to Withypool and walked to Tarr Steps which was an 8 mile round trip but a great excursion in glorious late February sunshine. Lovely view from the garden at the pub at Tarr Steps and the food was good too. We love Exmoor as it is an unspoilt gem with so much peace and nature to surround yourself in. Everyone you meet is friendly which also helps. Photos of this place do not do it justice!

The Engine House near Bath

SteveRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Withy Mills was a perfect location for us to get away and rest in a peaceful environment and at the same time close enough to Bath to explore this wonderful city! Our hosts were wonderful and warm, the cows in the farm were just the right volume and the view was stunning with the sun setting in full view!

Idyllic Country House on a Farm

TeganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed at Hollycroft for our wedding at the local Upton Barn. Tracy was so accommodating right from the very beginning and made my husband and his grooms party feel right at home, and recommended them a lovely pub for dinner the night before our wedding. When myself and my daughter arrived the next day, we were blown away by the beauty of the house of gardens at hollycroft - it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our wedding bubble as a family. My little girl especially loved the frog pond and tree house! I thought the thoughtful touches such as the freshly picked flowers in each room, and the delicious cake were such a lovely touch, thank you so much for a stay we will never forget!

We’ve just returned from a great stay at David’s cottage for New Year. The cottage is peaceful and perfect for a relaxed get away. We loved sitting in front of the log burner in the evening. David and Celia were super friendly. They gave us local recommendations which were spot on. Highly recommend!

Stylish 5 bed 4 bath house Dorset gated entry

GillianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were in Dorset for a large extended family get-together in a nearby village. Our own family group consisted of 6 adults and 3 children between 4 and 7 yrs old. The house is very light, bright and spacious and everyone could find space to escape the others when required! The kitchen was very well equipped. We had beautiful weather and were able to choose from several outdoor sitting areas - you can follow the sun around. There was plenty of room for parking. The children loved playing out in the extensive garden. The area generally is beautiful - very quiet at night. If you are looking for somewhere for a relaxing family holiday, I would recommend.
