Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in South West England

We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

Great place to stay and it’s not the first time we have stayed with Zeneta. The properties have always been clean and well presented with little extras to make it homely. Only thing I could mention are the parking permits. They are only for your stay at the property and not day passes as we thought when purchasing a day pass. Other than that it’s was a pleasure to stay again and can’t wait to use Zeneta again.

Really great location to get into Portsmouth via the ferry. Lovely clean flat with super comfy beds. Host had kindly left tea and coffee etc. The Bakehouse bar/ restaurant round the corner on the waterfront is worth a visit. Great communication from owner. 100% recommend.

Great stay in a central location, apartment was clean tidy and modern, and a lovely gift on arrival was most unexpected. Thanks Arron, really enjoyed it!

Great apartment, very clean and spacious. Everything you need is there and it’s really close to the town centre and all of the beaches. This is the second time we have stayed and we will hopefully return in 2023.

This was our first time booking an AirBnB and I needn't have worried. Marcus is a great host, very helpful and the property was exactly like the photos and description. It was in a perfect location for us, in a quiet part of town, but just a 10 minute walk to the town centre where there were some great pubs and Newquays beaches and harbour are also not far away. We found it very quiet in the apartment and weren't disturbed by any noise at all. We thought the Christmas tree and other decorations were a lovely touch and we felt at home and very comfortable.

Great communication, lovely place to stay in and the private car parking was a bonus. Will be using sea breeze again for sure. Thanks!

Iveta could not have been more welcoming. All sorts of goodies were left for us and the flat was clean and extremely homely. My daughter and I stayed for two weeks following surgery at the hospital and we could not have been more comfortable. I would highly recommend Iveta’s flat and would definitely return in the future .

Had a very relaxing holiday. Our first BNB experience in the UK and maureen made us feel very comfortable. The house is really peaceful, with a good vibe and recommend it for a good couple or a family getaway. If I’m in Bournemouth again, I would for sure check in at Maureen’s!

Great place to stay very private

This is a delightful attic flat…. Everything immaculately clean and of excellent quality. Mike was the perfect host…totally unobtrusive but very helpful. Highly recommended

Travelled to Cardiff for rugby weekend. Sam’s place was perfect, close to city centre and local amenities. Apartment was spotless. Directions and instructions very clear. Sam was the perfect host, quickly responding to any queries. Would thoroughly recommend.

Recently stayed overnight with my family (2 adults 2 children) for an event starting early the next morning at the university. The location was perfect for this being just a stone throw away, we also enjoyed a nice meal out in Kenilworth the night prior just a 10 minute drive away. The property itself was immaculate inside, very homely and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The stocked fridge with milk, chocolate treats and even a little bottle of wine was a really lovely touch! We annoyingly left behind some belongings of which Julie arranged return in the post, at no charge, which we massively appreciated! Thank you, Julie and Kevin for having us, would not hesitate to book again.

Simple, comfortable, cozy and clean. a great spot to get into Dartmoor and have some great walks. Bed very comfy for a good night's sleep! We arrived late at night and found it no problem with easy check in and out. Hosts made themselves available for anything we might need but everything was so clear instructions wise we only bumped into them on the checkout morning. Very friendly.

Absolutely amazing stay at Samantha's place! Communication was excellent from start to finish. The flat is truly beautiful - the photos don't do justice to how spacious and open the main rooms actually are. The location couldn't be better - just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to the New Forest. We were able to explore so many beautiful sights all within easy reach. The beds were very comfortable and all appliances were new and worked perfectly. We hope to return again soon!

Eastholme is a beautiful, modern property, set back from the road and surrounded by a beautiful garden. Ideally located for the beach, Eastholme is a fantastic base from which to explore Trevone. The interior of the property was modern but felt like a home from home

We have just arrived home after a fantastic stay. The lodge was beautiful with everything that we needed. There is lots to do locally as well as in the resort. We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for another stay in Easter. Thank you once again.

House was stunning and was great for hosting a group of friends, had all the kitchen appliances I needed to cook for 9 people. Beds were comfy and had no issues with the house at all... Highly Recommend staying here!

Just what was needed to break the monotony of winter. Gorgeous setting, so quiet and tranquil and enough to do should you want. House was as described , perfect location to explore Cotswolds area. Great recommendation for Thai takeaway on our arrival day given the lateness ! Excellent food. The wood fired hot tub was a wonderful addition and clear instructions on how to start the fire and the wood burner inside also . Definitely would visit again. Rob and James were excellent hosts. We had a really lovely stay this weekend for 2 nights as a little getaway. We had 2 toddler boys who loved having lots of toys to play with, the garden looked amazing too however the weather said otherwise! Frances was really great communicating with us & made us feel really comfortable.

We had such a memorable Christmas at Ceris’s home . Even more perfect was the children’s room that our kids loved . Each room had a home from home feeling. Myself and my husband left feeling inspired by Ceris design of her home for our own . You won’t regret picking Ceris home for your stay

Sharon went above and beyond to make sure our Christmas week was warm, cosy and full of treats and sparkle! The place was beautifully decorated and we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay, thank you so much. Our Springer also loved it there, plenty of local places to walk the dog too.
