Lovely flat within a grand country manor. Great for a countryside escape with a large bath and a cosy fireplace. Feels private but still right next door to your hosts. A few details were missing when we arrived including kettle and tools for the fireplace but the host was quick to help. It wasn't a problem but it's worth noting that there is no door between the bathroom and the bedroom. Overall a very peaceful place to stay with lots of nice countryside pubs around.

Lovely home, very cozy and warm, airy and bright. We had all we needed for our family stay. Very friendly and helpful host who was so lovely to decorate the place for us during Christmas. Thank you!

A wonderful stay at the Boiling House. David was very friendly and full of lots of information about the area, to enable us to make the most of our stay. We felt comfortable from the moment we got inside, all lovely and cosy and a great location. We ate at the Royal George one evening and at the Cod and Lobster the second. Both extremely good food. Long walks in the day to take in the pleasant sea air! Thanks for having us David, we’d definitely recommend! 😀

Beautiful location in a really sweet fishing village. Very dog friendly village, dogs welcome in all pubs and cafes. The cottage sits right by the water and has great views from the front. Open fire a great bonus and beds are very comfy. Lovely stable door to look out and watch the world go by. Great place to stay would definitely reccomend.

Lovely building. Plenty of space. Well decorated, uptodate-loved the master and kitchen. Very comfortable supportive beds. Downsides-no window covering in attic bedroom and some steep stairs with no handrail made it awkward for the children and upstairs WC very cosy but functional. Fab walks along the seafront/promenade. Beach 10 mins walk away-very big. Watch your step as dog poop galore-nothing to do with house owners but a shame. Walk the other way and great architecture and views across the working harbour. Host very communicative on a couple of slight issues. Recommended and hope to be back.

I had a wonderful stay at JC’s place. The house is in a fantastic location—just a 12-minute walk to the university, with supermarkets, shops, and essential amenities all within a 15-minute walk, and the train station about 20 minutes away on foot. The area is both convenient and quiet, making it a great choice for students and long-term stays. The house itself is well-furnished, modern, and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The furniture and appliances are in great condition, and the living space is cozy and well-maintained. JC is an incredibly warm and supportive host. She is always proactive in offering help whenever needed, making us feel truly cared for—almost like being part of a family. Her kindness and responsiveness made our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient, well-equipped, and welcoming home in the area!

Accommodation was as described and pictured, was well presented and ideally located for our work needs and local restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend and would happily stay again if available.

We had a lovely time at the cottage and enjoyed the views from the living room on the top floor, the peaceful location, being so close to the harbour and pubs, and the warmth of the cottage. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved Mandy’s place in Great Ayton. Perfect for kids and she did it right up for Christmas! We felt right at home being away from home for the holidays. We had plenty of space for our family of 4 (could definitely fit more!) and the outside space was perfect. Walking distance to shops and food, and amazing location for outdoor walks in the woods and to see sheep. ☺️ Mandy was also so welcoming and heartwarming and lovely to communicate with and had essentials ready for us at arrival. So grateful!

What a lovely apartment to stay in Durham! Chris was so nice to meet me there and show me everything with the apartment. The apartment is all new, very comfortable, with a beautiful peaceful setting on the river! He even bought me some food to get me through the mornings. It was so conveniently located to the town. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this apartment!

First class . Superbly presented apartment, clean and tidy with stunning views overlooking the marina. Thanks for making our stay a special one , we couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone, 100% . We will hopefully be returning soon .

Fantastic accommodation, just as described in the listing, the host was very quick to reply to messages and was very helpful. It is on the 3rd floor with no lift so bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. Everything we needed was there and we won't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Hartlepool.

Loved staying in this apartment...easy to find, very smooth check in, immaculately clean and helpful additions such as tea/coffee/kitchen roll etc. Good communication throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed or time here and as we're regular visitors to the area, we will be back!

Great place to stay. Clean and tidy. Had a problem with the shower waste, spoke to Gary, problem resolved within hours. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The flat was as described and very clean and tidy. Blossom were easy to communicate with and all instructions were clear, including how to access the free parking! We had a great stay so thank you very much.
