Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Stornoway

Joan was super responsive. Although her instructions were limited to 2 pages, she answered any question I had within minutes. The area is lovely and she recommended The Brewery, which is a great restaurant with a wide selection of beers brewed on the premises. She also recommended a local weaver, which was a highlight of our stay. The house had what we needed. The heating boost was easy to use.

Great place in a great location, just a 10-minute walk into Stornoway with the big Co-op just around the corner. The place was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. A real home from home! I highly recommend this little gem!

We had a lovely stay at Janet’s air bnb. Great location. It was very clean and cosy. Janet was a great host and very supportive when our ferry was cancelled! We would definitely stay again/recommend to friends ☺️

MacKay house was such a lovely place to stay. Even though we arrived on the late ferry on a windy, damp evening, we were met personally and made to feel very welcome. Some goodies with milk and butter were left for us. Everything we could have wanted was provided. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, cosy, warm , with panoramic views from the windows to the front, over towards Stornoway with the hills further south in the background. In a very peaceful spot, a short walk from the beach with other beautiful beaches a short car ride up the coast. Only a 15 minute drive to Stornoway, and just around the corner in Back there is the most wonderful muffin shop/bakery/takeaway (not cheap, but a real treat, especially if you are gluten free.) We sadly only had 2 nights to stay and were very sorry to have to leave. If we need to be near Stornoway again, we will be back!

our stay was amazing. The coast couldn't have been better, so respo sove to messages. they have been incredibly kind too. we were nearly stranded due to storm Eowyn. they offered us a free night to stay longer. but we had to escape early. so have been so generous in offering us a couple nights FREE, should we come back again. they really made us feel welcome. Stunning location. Short walk to a beach. The accommodation was so cosy. Everything you could need. only thing.....don't forget the milk, shops aren't so close. but we will definitely be back.

Our family had a lovely family stay at Lionel Mission House over Christmas and new year. The house is an excellent location for exploring the north of Lewis, and is very peaceful and quiet. Our kids loved watching the flock of sheep who shelter near the property in the evenings. The house is modern, well equipped and warm. We felt cozy and secure during the wintry weather and spent the evenings snuggled up by the logburner. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking equipment and utensils. The shower worked well with good water pressure - just remember to boost the hot water half an hour in advance. The beds and bedding were good quality and comfy. It's worth noting that all local shops close on Sundays, but Tesco in Stornoway is open. Overall, our visit gave us a much needed, peaceful break away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas.

Everything as described on the listing. Very easy to find and Mary sent clear instructions. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you could need The beds were comfy and the shower good. No problems and very good value for the area. It’s August but being the Hebrides the log burner was lit on the last night and was lovely to sit in front of before bed

This was our first trip to the Outer Hebrides. The cottage is in a great location to visit both Lewis and Harris. We were warmly welcomed by our host. The beds were very comfortable and the two ensuite bathroom arrangement was perfect for our two couple party. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need to cook, rest and relax. The weather was wet and windy when we arrived so we really appreciated arriving to a warm cottage.

Brilliant location; quiet despite a bustling street; easy parking; everything you need is provided in the flat. Excellent internet. I was on business but it would be a great location for a holiday break too.

The apartment was great! It was clean, very comfortable and well laid out, walking proximity to downtown was incredible, and communication with Etta was quick and informative. She was very accommodating and hospitable. We would stay again and recommend to friends!

Great location to the town centre, restaurants and cafes. Beautiful location across the road from the river and castle gardens. Spacious and well equipped flat.

The place was beautiful, comfortable and homey. The location was central and a great base for exploring Lewis and Harris. The hosts were responsive, helpful, and incredibly welcoming. We were well taken care of and would recommend.

We stayed 4 nights during HebCelt. The apartment is in a perfect location with everything in walking distance. There is ample parking available and everything that you could possibly wish for in the apartment. Everything was extremely clear, WiFi was fast. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Superb location, plus its above a whisky shop! Ann communicates effectively with you on any issues or requests. Flat is a great size with all the expected item. Amenities all walkable nearby.

What a great time we had at Malcolm’s place. Cosy and perfectly set up for us. The extra goodies were so appreciated too. Thanks Malcolm, we will be back
