Ruth’s cottage was delightful, comfortable and provided the perfect home base for exploring the area. The historic village of Brampton is charming with pubs, fresh produce shops, delicious Indian food, fish & chips, and ice cream all within walking distance. The house location is convenient and quiet with adequate parking. The interior of the cottage is cozy and thoughtfully decorated, with a well-equipped kitchen. Many walking footpaths are accessible directly outside the village, while an assortment of destinations are easily accessible by car. Ruth was available and responsive for support when requested. Thank you for a great experience!

We had the most fantastic couple of days , the cottage was beautiful, clean and had everything you needed. Area was peaceful and relaxing. We vistied talkin tarn which was beautiful and also had lovely walks , we throughly enjoyed walking through gelt wood! We finished our walk off by visiting the duke of cumberland where we had some delicious food. The whole experience was lovely and we woukd love to come back and stay!! We booked a last minute getaway with our dog for 3 nights. Lilia could not have been a better host, from the recommendations of the pub close by to the dog walks from our doorstep. The accomodation was absolutely stunning with all of the home comforts required and a few little touches extra. I would absolutely recommend this gorgeous gem to everyone. Hopefully we will back on this area in the future 🤞

Helen is a great host and very friendly. The cottage was lovely, very clean and everything you need for a home from home stay. The dogs loved the garden and the fairy lights outside added a real cosy feel. The lights were also a bonus on night time walks with the dogs as it is like a beacon as it is so dark and peaceful on the road. I would highly recommend it and we wish we could of stayed longer than a night.
