Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Ticino

Very, very nice rustico, very tastefully decorated and with a lot of commitment, great location, tranquility, ... just everything there. I particularly appreciated the contact with Barbara, her tips for hikes and super fast response. It's exactly as described, just better :-)

We were looking for a 3 bedroom apartment near Ascona and chose Luca's apartment. As shown in the photos, it has 1 large room with 1 large bed, 1 large room with 2 small beds and 1 small room with 1 small bed. One bathroom is state-of-the-art and large, the other smaller but also tiptop. The only thing we had bothered with the smaller bathroom was the sliding glass door, which did not quite allow the privacy we would have wished for in a bathroom. The apartment was very clean and in very good condition. The traffic of the main road, which was rated negative in other reviews, did not perceive 2 of us, the third of us did not find it quite ideal. We found the parking within a 1-minute walking distance to be very pleasant. The communication with Luca and Lea was great, including very quick answers to questions. We will be happy to come back!

Very nice house, Romana is very available, great welcome. We recommend this beautiful place, enough room for 4 people.

A very lovely home and Enrico is a consummate host. Pictures don’t do this cozy spot justice. We really enjoyed our time here. The old wood stove offers a delightful aroma that fills the whole place and the village feels like stepping back in time. Kitchen was exceptionally well stocked. Our host helped us test the wifi speed in advance for our remote work trip and graciously left us a bottle of wine. The stairs are steep and not kid-friendly. We found them a bit tricky and you do have to traverse them like ladders to use the toilet. While reading reviews, we noticed comments about black mould in the shower and do encourage the host to take care of this. It doesn’t appear to be anything that some bleach and elbow grease can’t fix and there is a window in the shower, so it is well ventilation. We also note that the mattress upstairs is nice and firm, but sags in the middle, which was fine for our length of stay. We enjoyed our time and hope to be back again soon!

This was our second time staying in this home. Perfect for us and our dogs. Easy to walk to cafes and the harbour. The host was super friendly and helpful. See you again soon!

Thank you for a pleasant stay at the house. We were able to enjoy great holiday and family time in the beautiful Verzascathal and surroundings. The amenities are perfect! The kitchen is also fully equipped and leaves nothing to be desired! Crib, high chairs, small radiators to support, great garden with fence. Great!

Everything was great we had a wonderful stay with the family

We were on vacation with two teenagers and enjoyed the time very much. Very spacious accommodation with a spectacular view. There was everything that made the family vacation easier. Excursions to the surrounding area are very possible because of a convenient location. Had a great time despite the rain. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Angela is the perfect host. She welcomed us so warmly and prepared everything for us with love. She thought of everything. The rooms are large and flooded with lots of light. I felt very comfortable and could only enjoy this week. If you want this location and the views, you've found the right place with Angela. We will be happy to come back.

The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos and the area is pleasantly quiet. The kitchen is super equipped and the bed very comfortable. Katrin and Thomas are great hosts, they were always available for our questions and went out of their way to set up the apartment for our baby. We'll be happy to come back.

The apartment is located in Aldesago, very close to the Lugano city and with breathtaking view on the lake - the area is really well commuted (bus no. 12 or funicular). Inside you have everything you need - nicely equipped kitchen, superclean bathroom and very comfortable beds! The view from terrace is truly stunning! It was also so nice to be able using swimming pool belonging to the facility! Although we’ve been already in Lugano few times before, I think, this staying was the best one ;) P.S. the owners are angels 😇

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The house has stunning views over Locarno, Ascona and the lake. Wonderful for a few days off.

Casa Larga is located above Brissago and can be reached on foot from the reserved parking lot in 2 minutes. The view is sensational and it's extremely quiet. The house is well equipped and leaves nothing to be desired. The beds are comfortable and there is a pleasant bedding. The kitchen is so well equipped, nothing is missing even the most ambitious chef. The rooms are all very large and bright and very inviting. However, you have to keep in mind that it has very large windows and thus it can get warm in intense sunlight.

The comfortable cottage with fantastic views of Lake Maggiore has three bedrooms and two living rooms. The house is well developed and absolutely quiet.

Hosts were VERY responsive at any time of day. Space is great for two people, or for a family with older children. Unfortunately not very convenient for anyone with a lot of luggage or stroller. Too many stairs to climb up with all your things. We later discovered that we could take an elevator from the lower garage in the complex (located next to their swimming pool inside) and take the elevator to the second floor. Wish we knew about that option when we checked in- would’ve made our lives a lot easier( but there were still a few steps either way to have to lug all of your things up). But for anyone that is traveling light, this place is great for you. Located next to train station. Just be aware that it is up high, so you will be walking uphill and downhill to get to anything/ anywhere- which was very tough for us with all of our luggage and small child in stroller. All in all the space was pleasant and what we were looking for - aside for the issue with stairs and uphill from everyt

Our flight was delayed and after a quick call explaining we would not arrive until late hours, we were reassured that the building would be all ready and they even popped the lights on for us to help find our way in the dark. Amazing spot. I visited many years ago and it was just as perfect as I remember.

We had 5 wonderful, relaxing days at Rustico. Everything you needed was there, even our shy Bernese mountain dog felt comfortable. The right thing for peace seekers:-) Beautiful hiking trails, steep but great:-) Thank you to Nicole, also for inquiring about the strong thunderstorm, if everything is ok:-)

Friendly welcome and excellent stay

Authentically renovated rustic house, where we felt very comfortable even on rainy days. The property is equipped with everything you need. The house warms up quickly with the wood-burning stove and is very comfortable. Hosts Sandro and Petra are extremely helpful. The location in Selma is centrally located in the valley and is a good starting point for hikes or family time on the river. We will be happy to come back.

Great place with plenty of space. It had everything we needed. The only downside was the lack of free parking, as all the spots are paid. Otherwise, Richard was an amazing host—super nice, helpful, and responsive!

Marina was very friendly, and always responsive. I had a lovely time enjoying the stars at night and the beautiful scenery during the day. I’ll be back for sure.

We stayed at the property for a week as a family with 3 children and immediately felt at home. The location is perfect to also explore the area on foot or by public transport (in bad weather a trip to Locarno would be an alternative), the turnaround around the house with the fire bowl/gas grill invites you to linger and the train passing by the house was a highlight for all of us every time! The accommodation is spacious and we had no problem also setting up our travel cot for the 2-year-old daughter next to the parent bed. We will be happy to come back!
