House vacation rentals in Totonicapán Department

We have stayed at some really nice Airbnbs in the past, but this place exceeded our expectations in every way. The grounds, the house and the staff are absolutely incredible. We are already looking at dates to book another dedicated trip to this house. If the house is available for your travel dates, consider yourself lucky. I'm afraid the secret is out!

Jean was an outstanding host. From the moment I arrived, his attention was impeccable. The day I spent it was beautiful, in large part thanks to their excellent recommendations of the area, which allowed me to discover charming places that I would not have otherwise found. Their genuine kindness and warmth made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Without a doubt, my experience was so positive that I was really looking forward to returning. I highly recommend her stay and hope to return!

A beautiful house, the large and very clean rooms, quiet and private family atmosphere, a few blocks from Santander Street and you have very close a place to make your pantry for the stay, thank you very much for welcoming us and Don Tomas was very helpful, very friendly and I support us immediately, Thank you for everything, we recommend this house as a great experience, we will definitely return

This place was absolutely beautiful. The ladies that came and cooked for us were amazing. Food was amazing and so worth hiring them to cook for us. There really isnt anywhere to get food from around the area. Josue went and purchased the groceries for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. I cant wait to book this place again.

Pretty safe place, good location, quite spacious house with fans practically throughout the house... It was a good stay ...

The house, the lake, the views, the staff…all absolutely incredible! The house is ideally located within 5-10 mins walking or quick tuk tuk to San Marcos, and equipped with everything you need - pool, hottub, kayaks, loads of cooking supplies, more than enough towels etc. The rooms were huge, beds comfy and the caretakers available to help with anything and everything. The hosts were super responsive and the chef for hire cooked amazing meals. San Marcos has the cleanest water for swimming, and the national park with cliffs to jump or swim from is just a short walk or kayak away. The entire stay, just like the lake, was magical for our family of 5 (2 adults, 9 yo, two 7 yos) and not one we will ever forget!

The house is very beautiful. A lovely design and filled with beautiful touches and artwork. An amazing view off the veranda, and the gardens are relaxing and full of birds. We all enjoyed the clean pool very much too. Overall it was an amazing place to relax and recharge. There is a walk up to the local village of Santa Clara or tuk tuks to take you up the hill, and the village has a produce market on Saturdays. We also recommend CECAP for great meals with the best view, as well as fair trade traditional handicrafts. It was easy to get a boat at the public dock. It’s probably easiest to arrange your own driver and boat to the private dock as then it’s easy to contact them if they do not turn up or know where to go (problems we had through no fault of the host). Definitely shop in Pana as the shops are very small in Santa Clara. Be aware it was hazy every day for 6 days and apparently this is common in April (or other months too?) because of cane burning. Perfect colonial stay for solo or family traveling to Xela! Great value and a very friendly and responsive host who was always ready to help.

Casa Xelaju is a great place to stay while in Xela, be it for a short-term or long-term stay. I stayed for three weeks. The buildings and grounds are set off away from the main streets so are pretty quiet. The garden is bright with flowers. It is near to convenience stores, a market for buying fruits and veg, and the main square (all in Zone 1). I stayed in the house which was great (and big! - just as is shown in the pictures), but do know that there are also different types of smaller apartments and studios available to rent as well - all you need to do is contact them and ask. The staff were so friendly and attentive to anything that I needed during my stay. Guests have access to a washing machine and free, filtered drinking water. Highly recommended!

Made a very last minute booking, José was very helpful . I have a 4x4 and the drive to the location is so fun! The home is bucolic and charming. I plan on staying here again when in Huehuetenango // I booked the last minute, José was very accommodated. I have a 4x4 and the trip to the place is more fun than I've ever had. It was a good experience and it’s a nice house. The owner was very helpful and the rooms were great. There’s also free wifi and the location is great. I enjoyed my time there and would definitely go again.

The house is very beautiful, very cozy. Everything coincided with what they offered us. We had a great time and I will definitely return to that house, the host was very attentive from our arrival to our departure, she helped us a lot and we had a great time, the house was very clean. Everything was well organized, we really liked the details that the hostess had in the house at the time we arrived that was very nice.
