Easily the best value Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. We arrived on a cool Easter evening and were so pleased to find the barn lovely and warm, we instantly felt at home. It’s a beautiful, atmospheric space that’s been brilliantly converted. The kitchen was really well equipped, everything we needed to cook our own meals was there. The bathroom was clean, with a powerful shower, large bath, and double sink. Upstairs, the living area was full of charm, with a stunning 15th-century fireplace that gave the whole place a lovely feel. The old beams are beautiful too. Julie’s instructions were really clear and helpful - she covered everything, including parking and bins, and we loved the bit of history about the barn she shared. It was fascinating to learn how the barn was converted, and we think Nigel’s done a fantastic job. It’s been modernised in a really thoughtful way while keeping its original character. a fantastic stay, highly recommended.

What a lovely place, very peaceful, clean home. Loved soaking in the bath on an evening, looking up at the stars. Lovely walks in the area. The only downside was there were no places to eat in the village yet. (newly refurbished pub in village haven't got a kitchen yet). But a nice walk to the next village to the Sandford Arms. Where you definately won't be disappointed. We've enjoyed our stay and Christopher's cottage was a clean, warm cosy home to return to each day. Would definately recommend. Thankyou again Lucy

Lovely space with everything I needed. I only stayed for one night, but would come back, if I'm ever in the area again. Maybe not something for people who are afraid of spiders, as I have seen at least three really big one during my stay.

Our family (and dogs) had such a lovely stay at Cosy Nook Cottage and wished we had booked for longer. The interior is beautifully decorated, keeping a lot of the nice original cottage features but lovely and modern too. The bedrooms are a great size, we thought the 'shower cupboard' in the big bedroom was so quirky. The garden was our favourite thing and we were blessed with beautiful weather, the dogs loved it. We just had to keep a wee eye on them so they didn't jump the wall on one side, but this was fine to manage. The small touches, like cleaning products, milk and cooking essentials were also really helpful. The location is quiet, a small hamlet/village. It has a wee pub nearby that has a pizza van on a Friday night but doesn't serve food yet and there doesn't seem to be a shop nearby but Appleby and Kirkby Stephen are 15 mins drive away. If you want a peaceful stay in a lovely home and nice surroundings - book Cosy Nook.
