Monthly Rentals in Ancroft

My wife and I have just returned home after a 3-night break at The Curfew Retreat. It’s a lovely spacious property where the owners have thought of everything. The place is clean and comfortable and well-situated for the town. The pub downstairs was lively for the bank holiday weekend, but didn’t bother us at all. In fact, we may have had one or two pints there ourselves! We can also recommend the Turkish restaurant next door where we had a very nice meal. We wouldn’t hesitate going back or recommending it to others. The only constructive criticism we have is that we would have liked bigger bath towels - we’re not the biggest in the world, but struggled to make them meet in the middle! All-in-all, a great place for a short break.

Wow!.. What an amazing place to stay! It's in such a beautiful setting, to wake up to lambs and sheep with a view all the way to Holy Island... Just truly amazing! The cottage it's self is full of everything you need!.. The outside space is great for alfresco dining. Had the best night sleep of any of the holiday cottages we've stayed in. Sharron is the best host! Communication was excellent, Sharron soon answered any questions and gave us great advice on where to eat and great days out. We loved holy Island and a walk that Sharron advised to Dunstanburgh Castle. We also had a day trip to Edinburgh. This took about an hour and 20 minutes to get to the zoo, where we parked all day for £4... We left the zoo about 2.30pm and caught a bus right outside the zoo which took us to Princes Street, where we went to the castle, did some shopping and dined out at night! ... Then caught the bus straight back to the zoo, it couldn't have been any easier! All in all a fabulous place to stay

trish was a great host, she was very friendly and gave us a welcome package which including a few breakfast essentials and a bottle of wine which went down a treat. cottage was spacious, very clean and felt at home. great location just outside berwick upon tweed, very quiet and easy to find. great value for money would highly recommend and would go back again.

We had a great 5 day stay at Mark's property. He was a very helpful host who met us at the property and gave a guided tour and explanation of all the facilities. The property was in good condition , very clean, well equipped and maintained. The location is ideal for visiting the area, particularly Holy Island, Bamburgh, Berwick etc. Our first visit to Northumberland and it won't be our last. A very enjoyable time in excellent accommodation.
