“The Meadow” is a quaint, rustic Shepherd’s Hut located in a meadow at Ballymartrim Wood. The hut features a double bed, wood burning stove, gas hob, storage space, solar lighting and a patio. There is a BBQ and fire pit and a toilet close by.
“You MUST stay here! It had been raining for days before our arrival, and was still the best night we spent on our two week trip to Ireland. A tree lovers paradise, the lovely Trevor has planted hundreds of trees for others to enjoy 70 years from now- amazing! The hut itself is warm, cozy and spotlessly clean. We spent the evening with the back of the trailer open, even in the pouring rain! The wee little wood stove keeps it perfect temp, the candles and solar lamps made the light romantic and dream like- and the highlight of the evening was the way the reflection of the fire through the slits of the stove made the light shine on the ceiling of the hut so rememesent of the northern lights that light up the sky! Beautiful, I'm serious, you wont regret for a second staying here in this truly magical place. Trevor himself is an utter delight, do yourself a favor and create amazing memories for yourself as we have!”
If you are looking for a country retreat full of character and charm Tattymorris Cottage is it! Having built the cottage and spent many happy years here, myself and my wife have decided to see some more of the world and would love to have guests enjoy our retreat as much as we do.
“This place is great to escape & unwind. Homely, warm, far from stresses- it's a great getaway. Stephen -the host- & his wife are exceptionally kind, thoughtful & welcoming - doing everything they can to help you feel at home. Lots of extra touches & little gestures. It is their home which is why it's so easy to relax there. I was a little surprised that there was no WiFi ( my fault, I didn't read the full description of the property) but it's due to poor signal at the location. And in fact , there is a spot in the house where my phone worked fine. In fact it was good for me not to be on social media & helped me switch off. Comfy beds, cute kitchen, in no way stuffy or pretentious, just a country ' Irish feeling' cottage full of character, tastefully decorated. A very pleasant stay , good energy, good people. Thank you.”

“Had a fantastic time at Isabell’s place. The flat was very clean and had all the amenities you could need. The location was also great for a small place like Dungannon - I took a direct bus just a short walk down from the property to Dungannon bus station which connects you to Belfast and other places in N.I. and it was only about 10 minutes away. Very quiet, clean and comfy. I recommend.”
