“Absolutely amazing. John is so welcoming and genuine. Perfect for a chat! We met the beautiful animals on the property which was a highlight. The two dogs are friendly and gorgeous. We also had a tour of the paddock next door where we met a miniature pony and some lovely pigs. The cat also says hi! The room was spotless,the house had everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you don't want to meet the animals not to worry they don't have access to the house. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again! Thanks so much John for showing us around. It was wonderful!”

“A wonderful place to stay in the countryside but easy to get to all the towns with the motorway near by. We opened the front door to be greeted by a roaring fire and a lovely welcome basket with all sorts of goodies including a nice bottle of red wine and to our surprise a packet of Biltong, a speciality of South Africa from where we came. There was a food cupboard that also had produce and the fridge had basics like eggs Milk and butter to get you started. Martin is a brilliant host and went out of his way to answer questions and sort out any queries we had very promptly. The duvet on our bed was so warm and snuggly and we enjoyed playing the board games each evening by the roaring fire. We would definitely stay here again and recommend booking.”

“The cottage is lovely, and Clinton is a very caring host. He was concerned that this apartment would be too cold and offered us his other (warmer) cottage across the street. We kept the one we booked originally; Clinton had the fire going for us when we arrived and we had absolutely no problems staying warm for the evening. A charming old cottage that we would highly recommend!”
