Drumguish Cottage

Summer 2025 as been amazing for wildlife sightings - red deer in the garden, squirrels, wild cat, badger, osprey flying overhead, red kite, family of buzzards in the woods and many many other birds. I will put up some photos for you. Drumguish Cottage is located in the highlands of Scotland, and the Cairngorm National Park which is 1,748 square miles and larger than Luxembourg. The cottage is set among the majestic pine woods of Drumguish, with mountain views and with lots of wildlife.

Sweetheart Cottage with indoor hot tub

Our charming, spacious, one bedroom cottage with exposed stone wall and open fire has a true highland feel, along with an in door hot tub room. Just a stone throw away from the river Don and the 300 yold Poldullie bridge also central to whisky trails & castles. Two well-behaved dogs welcome by request. We ask you do not to leave them on their own, and they must be kept on a short lead and not an extendable one while on our property. We are a licensed premises and only permit 18s and over.

Charming & cosy retreat for 2 - The Bakehouse

The Bakehouse at Caman House dates from 1900 and is a beautiful old stone barn, and once upon a time a bakers - lovingly restored by us, creating a cosy and unique little home from home, respecting the story of the building, using local materials like timber & stone. Like our other Where Stags Roar properties, it has a wood burning stove, and high-quality, stylish furnishings. In the Cairngorms National Park. The Farm Bothy Cottage

The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.

Perfect to explore Scotland, whether you're hiking, skiing or sightseeing - Glamis Castle, east coast beaches & castles, Braemar is a drive through dramatic Glen Shee to Cairngorms National Park, and the Angus Glens are just up the road. Dunkeld, St Andrews and Pitlochry are perfect days out. We're on the doorstep of Perthshire Big Tree Country for stunning autumn colour. Or visit V&A Dundee to get your art fix.

Ballin Dhu - tranquil retreat on the Speyside Way

Ballin Dhu is a cosy and peaceful highland escape nestled on the banks of the River Spey and sitting directly on the Speyside Way walking route. The lodge and its surroundings are beautiful in any season, whether it's watching spring come to life, enjoying warmer summer months, amidst autumn colours, or on a frosty winter's day overlooking the Spey valley. Whatever the time of year Ballin Dhu provides comfortable and characterful accommodation.

McFarlane Lodge has an open planned lounge and dinning area. The comfortable lounge includes a wood burning stove, SmartTV and a large dining table. The kitchen includes dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee machine and a fridge/freezer. There are two bedrooms, one contains a double bed. The second room contains two queen beds. Towels are provided.

Taighsona Bothy is located in the heart of Speyside, with incredible views out over Ben Rinnes and the Convals. We are peacefully situated only a few minute’s walk from Archiestown and on the famous Malt Whisky Trail. Aberlour and the famous Speyside Way are a short walk down through the stunning countryside and forest. Dufftown and Craigellachie are a few minutes drive away.
