Vacation rentals with a firepit in Cape Fear River

Everything was perfect and as described. The hosts were very kind and helpful. This really is a great place to spend a weekend with your significant other.

This was the perfect little house for us while visiting NC. Only 10 minutes away from family, where we spent most of our time. It’s an older house with wheelchair ramps outside and grab bars in the master bathroom. Hall bath has been updated nicely. There is no fireplace that I found, but the house was warm and cozy (our weather was cold and rainy) with comfortable beds, and newer kitchen and laundry appliances. The host was very responsive for it being Christmas time. We will definitely consider staying there again in the future. Thanks Courtney!

We had a great stay for a weekend of racing at The Rock. The house layout was perfect for our family. The game room was a hit with the boys. The driveway was large enough for our trucks and trailer. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The azaleas were beautiful and the home is in a private, quiet setting.

We enjoyed our stay so much! We love the house! The surroundings are beautiful. We even caught some fish in December. Most of our time was spent purely relaxing, and this was a perfect place for that.

We were in need of a place to stay and chose this place because we knew the neighborhood is a good one for Fayetteville. It was clean and had all the comforts of home. Jennifer was very helpful and I am thankful for her.

This place was perfect for what we needed it for! Attended a concert in the area and had great proximity to everything in Cary and Raleigh. Victor was amazing to plan and communicate with and would definitely rent again if in the area again.

This place— I would recommend a thousand times over. Gail and Gerry are some of the sweetest hosts I’ve ever had the honor of meeting and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, comfortable, and peaceful. The acute attention to detail, such as music playing when we entered for the first time, truly showed just how much these hosts take pride in the place they’ve set up as well as the care and love they show towards their guests. We will be back!

Our stay was wonderful. The location is good, the cottage was sweet and had everything we needed plus some. Rain is an excellent host and we would definitely stay there again.

We appreciated the fire pit and made s’mores.. enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool…The surrounding area was filled with a full day of fun things for my granddaughter to do. Jeanette’s place was perfect! Super peaceful and quiet, amazingly clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Jeanette was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. We 100% recommend and would love to stay here again next time we’re in the area :)

This was just what we needed. Studio with comfy king bed and refrigerator/coffee machine/microwave. Designated parking spot in driveway. Couldn’t even hear the people staying in the other unit, and we loved that we could walk (~20 min) to the main downtown area. Would stay again!

Molly & Ben's place was so perfect for us! The location felt very private. The airbnb was extremely cozy, and very very clean. It was so nice to have access to Pawleys Creek; we spent alot of time early morning and at night just sitting on the deck watching wildlife. Having access to bikes, kayaks, and beach equipment was beyond convenient. Definitely my favorite AirBnB to date!

My mom and I went away for a peaceful weekend and Judy and Mike offered the perfect place to stay! We were greeted by Grandma Barb who was so sweet and helpful and showed us around the place and gave useful tips and recommendations. It is clear they have all thought hard of the “little things” to make sure guests have all they need and are comfortable. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. The beds were comfortable, and we loved the quick walk to the beach. We particularly loved the provided beach chairs, and the cozy robes in the closet for lounging in the evening! This was a great place to stay and we would love to come back one day!

This is our second stay at the lovely little cabin on the lake. Hosts are helpful and friendly but most importantly they make you feel at home. Great place to relax, unwind and unplug. We enjoyed kayaking and lounging on the dock. We will be back.

This was not my first stay at the Scout House, and it will not be my last. Everything about it is perfection - from the location, to the property, to the sensational hosts (Marie & BJ). My stay was delightful in every way and I cannot wait to return!

We had a wonderful time. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and the view of the river is second to none. Would highly recommend this stay if you need a break from the noise of the city.

Great stay to celebrate my son’s 4th birthday after a day at the zoo! The highlight of the night was a frog jumping onto his leg! A trip we will never forget and the perfect home to settle in for the night! We loved the yard games on the porch!

The cabin was lovely and right on the river. We didn’t have much luck with the fishing unfortunately but that didn’t matter too much because we enjoyed how nice and peaceful It was on the floating dock. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the played a few games of cornhole that was available at the cabin. The cabin itself was cozy and no issues with cleanliness or odors as another review stated. In the photos the cabin looks pretty remote. However there are other homes/cabins next to it, so just be aware. The ones on either sides of us were empty while we were there so no issues. We loved the cabin and will likely be back for another weekend getaway.

Amazing location right by Abermale and Uwharrie forest. Couldn’t ask for a better spot for anyone running one of the many Uwharrie ultramarathons, only 5 minutes from the trails! Great place for a small family too and the kids will love the super friendly goats!

Though I live close by in Cary, I needed a quiet retreat to finish writing my book and Barbara's place was perfect! Thoughtful touches throughout the home, incredibly clean, the kitchen is stocked with everything you might need to cook as if you were at home, and Barbara's communication was exceptional. I highly recommend this place for everyone as it's great for solo travelers, couples, or families. Make sure you have a sit in the hanging chair in the living room - it's delightful :) Thanks, Barbara!

Peaceful getaway!!! Probably one of the best hosts air bnb has to offer as well!! Couldn’t have had a better experience and our furry baby highly enjoyed it too 💖 couldn’t recommend this spot more!
