Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Douglas Lake

Love the spot! Great for a pet and small family. We didnt pull the couch out. But my fiancé said after a long nap its a well recommended couch! Everything 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed for a long Christmas vacation, and absolutely loved it. the house is clean and comfy, and beautifully furnished and decorated. the location is awesome, 20-25 min to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, and 35-40 min to Gatlinburg, but far enough away that you don't have to deal with too much of the city traffic and all the crowds. before we arrived, there was snow and ice in the forecast, and the hosts even worked out a place for us to park the first few nights so that we wouldn't have to risk the steep driveway (which didn't end up being a problem, but it was SO nice that they had a plan for us!) we enjoyed the hot tub and the dogs loved the fenced backyard. the firepit is great out front, we never got a chance to use it but would have loved to. I would 100% recommend staying here, and hope to be back soon!

We fled from storms in southern middle Tennessee, and went to this place to be safe over the weekend. Beautiful house, which had all we needed for a short weekend with two adults and 4 teenage girls. The hosts were very friendly, and gave us all the information we needed to be able to fin the place, and get in after a 4.5 hour long drive on a late evening. The place looks amazing, and it felt like a home away from home. We'll be back if we come that way at a later time! Thanks for having us!

As described! Just a few minutes from main road and access to everything. Very cozy. It honestly felt like home away from home. Very accommodating as well.

We chose to do an AirBnb over a hotel due to the amount of people we were traveling with. House was clean and welcoming. Everything labeled or instructions left on where to find them. We invited family from the area to come join us for dinner and we had plenty of utensils, bowls, plates, cookware to cook, etc for everyone. Plenty of room for the kids to spread out in the house. Hosts were great, we came in really late, they turned the interior lights on and let us know they turned them on so we wouldn’t question if we were in the wrong place lol. We also booked very last minute and they never once made us feel like an inconvenience for doing so- as a previous booking had that we ended up cancelling for the same trip, which is how we ended up here to begin with. TVs in all the bedrooms made for a great time with the kids falling asleep comfortably (strange places plus super quiet and dark rooms can make it hard for them to fall asleep) highly recommend this air bnb, great hosts and home

The home fit my family perfectly. We had five adults, three kids and three English Bulldogs. The fenced yard was perfect for the kids as well as the dogs. The whole family enjoyed the game room. The kitchen was beautiful and so spacious. The beds were comfortable. Most importantly for me the drive was not steep at all. We will definitely come to this home again.

We really enjoyed the serene, beautiful setting and this home provided what we needed for the weekend! 15-20 min drive to most places we wanted to go. It was clean and comfortable. Daniel and Rachel were helpful with questions we had but didn’t overwhelm us with instructions, etc. and check in/out was a breeze. One thing some people may be surprised by: stink bugs. We come from places that experience these bugs and we understand these pests are harmless and unfortunately nearly impossible to prevent. So while annoying that they were very present (and spring is the beginning of the stinkbug season), they would never prevent us from returning. But other potential renters should be aware!

Everything was so amazing. Our host was so nice and super helpful when we had an issue. Even provided some extra snacks and hot chocolate to help with our stay. Can’t express how much Judy helped make our stay so much easier and stress free 10/10. Cannot recommend this place enough to everyone. It’s near enough to everything to be a quick trip most places but also far enough off the main strip that you have the peace and quiet.

Airbnb was exactly how described. Great location close to I-40. It’s very clean and has detailed instructions in a binder that was very helpful. It was just want I needed for my quick stay in Knoxville. No issues or problems at all. Would stay again.

Very conveniently located just minutes from Jefferson City Health and Rehab which is what brought us to town. Nice lakes nearby and a few parks. We would stay there again.

We were looking for a place during a cross-country road trip and this fit the bill perfectly. A couple miles off the highway in a quiet neighborhood. The home I was surprisingly large, clean, good space, fast internet. Shopping and restaurants are about a 5 minute drive away. The only issue I would make folks aware of is that if you are traveling with dogs and go walking around the neighborhood, this being a rural area, there are some folks with free roaming dogs nearby and they’re territorial. And there’s a road a block away with no sidewalk and people flying by at high speeds. The yard is decent size, so use that. Alternately, there is a river trail and dog park in town. Kitchen is well stocked with basics, you’ve covered for coffee and basic cooking spices. So overall a great value.

This place is a gem on the river in Knoxville. The view is beautiful, especially at night with the bridge all lit up. I walked, and I walked, and I walked…. There are restaurants and coffee shops everywhere and it is very close to downtown. It’s in a really cool historic building and we really enjoyed it. It was wonderful from start to finish!

Kathleen's home is absolutely GORGEOUS! It's in a beautiful subdivision and she has a beautiful yard..and it's 2 minutes from the Parkway. Kathleen has it decorated beautifully and was absolutely pristine..even the towels smelled wonderful!!! The bed and linens were so nice and we slept great! She also puts out little things like brownies and pastries..its the little things! Kathleen's home will now be our 1st choice when we come back to visit!

We loved staying here! It was plenty of space for the six of us. My toddler especially loved the little treehouse bed.

This was my third stay with Barbara and Anthony and it will remain my go to destination in Knoxville. They go well beyond the "call of duty." When they heard my loud coughing, they showed up with tea, meds and soup! Talk about caring hosts!

Incredibly clean place to stay and very responsive host. I would absolutely stay here again. Not a far drive from nearby activities but just far enough to appreciate the peaceful location.

Clean, soft bed, great location. A new favorite from someone who has stayed in Pigeon Forge many, many times.

He provided welcoming extras from towels shaped like swans on the bed to neatly folded napkins in glasses holding mints. The facility was extremely clean and inviting. His directions and key code access were accurate and easy to follow. We would definitely stay again.

I have no words to describe what an amazing host Laura is—by far one of the best hosts I’ve ever had across all the properties I’ve stayed at. Her place is super cozy, well-equipped, clean, and organized. It’s also really close to all the key spots. The beds are super comfortable, and she was always attentive and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed for an amazing vacation. Can’t wait to come back soon!

The condo was clean and spacious. Great for a family. Only surprise was the master did not have a shower so we all had to share. The location was great. Close to everything pigeon forge had to offer. Our family had a great time!

My husband and I loved staying at Connie’s condo! It was the PERFECT location for getting out and exploring Pigeon Forge. We will definitely be staying here any time we come back to Pigeon Forge!

It was so peaceful and relaxing, but close to everything. We loved feeding the ducks and geese!! Condo was nice and clean!
