A spacious 1-bedroom cottage and less than a 2 minute walk from the village located in a tranquil coastal setting breathtaking views of Slieve Foy mountain, Carlingford harbour and surrounding countryside. A little haven with a large living/dining room with fire/stove, leading to separate kitchen with small walled raised garden in yard. Large open landing upstairs leads to outdoor private balcony, double bedroom and bathroom with unrestricted views of mountain, forests and medieval walls.
“Beautiful cottage, perfect for a quiet weekend away. The bedroom especially was so pretty, with a view out towards the hills through the glass doors. Will have to return in summer to try out the balcony. Perfect location for the pubs in town, but we couldn’t wait to get back, light the fire & cosy up on the sofa. Everything we needed for a relaxing break. Thanks to the host for swift communication & a lovely house.”
Tom's Cabin is a cosy, luxury log cabin located on the side of Slieve Foy, only a mile from the medieval village of Carlingford and all its bars and restaurants. From the cabin there are spectacular views of Carlingford Lough, the Mourne Mountains and the Irish Sea. The cabin is next to our house but completely private. It is centrally heated and finished to a high standard with all you need to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing stay in a picturesque setting.
“Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The most perfect cabin in the most beautiful setting, finished to such a high spec, really breathtaking views of the changing lough, mists rolling in, such peace and tranquility, quintessential dramatic Irish scenery. The cabin is clean and very comfortable, equipped with a cosy, relaxing seating area. We ate outside, listened to music on the speaker, practised yoga on the decking and my partner could even catch Match Of The Day on the Sky TV. Mark and Niki could not have been more accommodating, the most welcoming and gorgeous hosts. No words, just go.”
Situated by the water in Omeath, this end of terrace house is in a quiet area on the edge of the village. 2 minutes walk to the local beach and amenities including shops, pubs & cafe. Great walking trail to Carlingford and treks through the mountains
“We were quite comfortable in the second floor master bedroom of Elizabeth’s townhouse right on the coast in Omeath. There’s a lovely view from the shared space downstairs, rain or shine, and a walkable pub. As others have noted, the en suite bathroom is very small, but we were happy to see that is partly because the shower is a good size (quite a bit larger than the tiny corner showers that are often found). Elizabeth went well beyond expectations as a hostess. We loved the food, local tips, and especially the conversation. Enjoy!”
