We had an amazing time and the best hosts—Mino and Kiko—who welcomed us to their beautiful guest house. After a long journey, we were looking forward to our accommodation outside a big city to relax and wind down. We thought the beautiful and traditional Japanese ryokan would be the highlight (and it certainly was), but in fact, it was our hosts who truly made the experience special. Mino is wonderful—so caring and proactive in his communication and recommendations, which we thoroughly appreciated (we had the best Okonomiyaki experience in a very private setting thanks to him!). Kiko is the sweetest and even brought us adorable origami gifts. My husband, our friends, and I are so thankful to have ended our Japan trip with such a warm and memorable encounter.
