Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 35 min. drive from Tromsø. Close to some of the areas most spectacular mountains, fjords, beaches, ski and climbing areas. a. Big appartment with 1 bedroom that holds a king size bed and one bunk bed. The apartment is a part of a semi detached house, and rooms up to 12 people. Perfect for family vacations and larger groups. Very spacious with own porch and a lovely view over Tromsø. The bus terminal is 1 km. away, and a small shuttle bus serves the area during peek hours. There is free parking with room for several cars. We recommend renting a car. The house is close to a flood-lit track for hiking enthusiasts. It has a sauna which guests are welcome to use.

The apartment is spacious and has an amazing view. You have a 180 degrees view over Tromsø and its surroundings. You can see mountains, the fjord, the Arctic cathedral, the cable car and the mountains surroundings it..The Northern lights can easily be seen from the balconies if it is out dancing for us. The apartment is within town center with its many attractions, restaurants, galleries, cafes, museums and shops. A short walk to everything.

Our house is situated on the appropriately named “whale island” (Kvaløya), just a short 15-20 minute drive to Tromsø city centre and 12 minutes to the airport (9km). Cosy appartment in Kaldfjord, Tromsø. Nice and quiet surroundings. Perfect area for northern light-hunting. In December-January you may see the whale in the fjord outside the house. In winterseason 2018 we haven’t see the whales. Hope they are back in November 2018. 10 km from the airport and 15 km to the town-centre of Tromsø.
