Very nice hosts and a very peaceful stay! Loved the agriculture and views around the place. Far enough from the crowds but close enough to the town of La fortuna. It was perfect!

We loved this little oasis. jacuzzi awesome. A/c worked great! Hot water and shower were great! Clean! Deck lovely. Bed very comfortable. WiFi was very spotty - hard to access internet readily. Reported to owners. They plan to check into it. I’d recommend a car with decent clearance - road is a bit rocky in parts to get to place However - can hear river, jungle noises, and private beautiful location Would HIGHLY recommend. Close to town La Fortuna ( 5-7 min drive into town,).Can walk to some very good restaurants in neighborhood ! Can walk to coffee shop and convenient store if needed. Close to El Salto, too - fun rope swing into river ! Thanks Tati & John !

This place is truly unbelievable! I enjoyed every second of it. It’s beautiful and extremely cozy. Extremely clean and private. Erick and his wife are extremely thoughtful they left bread, eggs, water and orange juice. I can’t wait to come back

Uno de los mejores lugares en los que me he hospedado. Las fotos no logran describir lo increíble del lugar, lo bonito de las amenidades y lo impecable que estaba la cabaña. La comunicación con Elias fue increíble y más bien siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar con todo y responder de inmediato. No di 6 estrellas porque no se puede, pero merece más que 5!!!

we loved this place so much we stayed for the second time in 8 days. this is the best place in the area and we will stay here when we travel to the Arenal area. so peaceful and quiet with all kinds of birds and the trees, plants and flowers especially on the walking trails. it's a fairly short walk but worth the time. close to town to walk to everything. the pool is so nice and private. the inside of the cabin is well equipped with comfortable King bed and great shower. the hammock is a nice touch. love this place and highly recommend it because it's awesome and Mau is a great host.

Awesome space- saw some great wildlife. The environment of Monteverde is well displayed here. The hot tub and sauna were a nice touch. Nice space for a couple. Bathroom and shower were nice. We had a lovely time! Connected trails right to the Airbnb but we didn’t get a chance to explore. The host was very easy to communicate with overall!

La vue du balcon est tout simplement magnifique. Toutes les commoditiés y sont et la propreté est irréprochable. C'était notre deuxième séjour là bas, la cuisine est nouvellement rénovée et géniale. Vraiment nous n'hésiterons pas à y retourner, la famille Silvio's a vraiment à coeur le bien de ses clients, vraiment la Casa Del Sol est extraordinaire!

Magnifique petite maison tranquille. Le chemin en arrière de la maison est également magnifique et c’est parfait pour une petite marche pour apprécier la nature. Je reviendrai certainement ici !

Muy satisfechos con el alojamiento, la cabaña muy cómoda y espaciosa. La vista al bosque es increíble y la tranquilidad del lugar ya que se encuentra lejos de casas o carreteras, ubicación estratégica para disfrutar de las actividades de fortuna y lugares aledaños. Y la mejor parte lo comoda que es la cama. Sin duda volveré.

Lovely cabin with beautiful surrounding garden. Helpful host picked us up from San Jose and brought us to the cabin. Only negative aspect of our stay was the construction next door but that is outside of their control. Would recommend if looking for peaceful surroundings.

We’re really glad we chose Silvia’s cozy hideaway tree house. It felt like we were in the middle of the rainforest, yet we were just a short distance from town — the best of both worlds. Waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning was such a treat. The place felt private and peaceful, and although the kitchen is small, it had everything we needed. One small suggestion: a drying rack for clothes would be a great addition, especially for guests coming back from a hot spring or canyoning adventure. All in all, a lovely stay!

My dad and I stayed at Irene’s and she was a tremendous host. She was responsive when we had any questions, the place is serene and beautiful, the pool was awesome, lots of wildlife around including frogs, lizards, basilisks, birds, and toucans. Also, the river was so peaceful to walk to during the day. Thank you Irene!

Excelente cabaña, muy limpio, ordenado, fácil de llegar, el lugar perfecto para una escapada de la rutina, como plus estaría genial un aire acondicionado pero aun así no tengo queja, muy bello todo

This lovely, hand-built cabin is nestled among small fields of fruit and vegetables, flowering trees and lush forest. It was clean, quiet and private. Our peaceful mornings were filled with colorful song birds (lots of hummingbirds). This space is delightfully simple but perfect for exploring the area and getting a taste for Pura Vida! Edgar, the host was responsive, friendly and helpful with recommendations for local restaurants. A whole pineapple and bananas were on the counter upon our arrival and were delicious. Costa Rica is early to bed early to rise, as the birds, frogs and bugs are up singing their morning song. I am not an early riser normally but I was asleep early (sun sets at 6pm) and bounding out of bed for coffee in the hammock out back. Would highly recommend this stay if you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle. It is about 30 minute drive to La Fortuna/Arenal parks.

Very nice and spacious house surrounded by beautiful large garden with its own creek, giving it a perfectly anonymous privacy. Highly recommended!

everything went smoothly, the house was very well equiped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The view and the surroundings are very very nice! Cristina took us around her little coffee plantation and we watched a wonderful sunset!

Muy bonito lugar y ubicado estrategicamente para acceder a La Fortuna sin problemas de tránsito. El lugar está muy bien cuidado, rodeado de naturaleza.

This is a beautiful private retreat in a wonderful property. It certainly feels remote and you’ll definitely need that 4x4, but if you’re looking for tranquility, tremendous staff and a place to relax then this is a great option. It’s a simple, lovely accommodation. No frills, but everything you need. The beautiful private grounds with the hikes to the waterfall and river are top notch - and a great workout. If you’re fit and al enjoy adventure, definitely check out the hikes on property!

Ein wunderschöner Garten mit zahlreichen Tieren. Ein muss ist es bis in die Dunkelheit draußen zu sitzen. Eine tolle Unterkunft mit Flair. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

EL SOL is extraordinarily beautiful! It's hard to describe how special it is- the gorgeous natural surroundings, the wonderful food, the unique and refreshing pool and the beautiful mountains surrounding the area. I could have stayed a long time and regret that our stay was so short. Thank you Susanne and Javier for such a wonderful time and the attention and love you have put into EL SOL! We will be back!

Absolutely gorgeous place! We had a lot of privacy and it was overall a wonderful experience. Diego was very responsive and helpful, especially when I messed up the alarm and set it off (sorry!). Saw lots of wildlife walk right up to our porch and even a basilisk who kept trying to get in through the back patio doors. Highly recommend!

Mooie plek. Je kunt dieren spotten vanaf de veranda. Er is geen aparte slaapkamer. De douche temperatuur is moeilijk te regelen. Verder hebben we het naar onze zin gehad. De host was behulpzaam en reageerde snel
