Tracey was a super host. Her comms were the best of any host I’ve encountered via trip adviser and the information on paper in the property. She also specifically asked for feedback in terms of how she could improve the property. The area isn’t the prettiest to look at but we knew this would be the case as not in a “tourist hotspot town” - but booked it, as a family of 4, for an affordable base, to explore wider Northumberland. I would recommend that you need a car (but the train station is very nearby - you can’t hear the trains though). Day trips to Amble and Alwnick were fantastic, wish we had longer to stay. Will definitely return, hopefully in sunnier weather. The living room is really cosy and our kids loved the tv / sofa set up. Also enjoyed playing junior monopoly and some of the other games!

So we're just back after a lovely stay! Property is perfect for two adults and ideal as a base to explore Northumbria. House has everything you need, Well equipped kitchen with fridge hob oven grill and microwave. Nice dining area. We loved the log burner which really heats up the living area!! Huge bed upstairs and nice bathroom with shower and plenty of towels. Would definitely recommend this property, especially if you are a beach lover!! The beach is just a few steps away from the front door. Top Tips. Local B&M sells bags of logs which are very cheap we paid £5 per bag. Watch out for the hot water in the kitchen, it can get super hot.

Jane’s place is fab! It’s far more quirky than we imagined. We were fascinated by all of the decor and decorative accessories - you spot something new every time you look around. The dining table was fantastic for the whole family to sit around. There is plenty of fridge and freezer space which you don’t always get for 10 people. We had lovely weather during our stay so the garden with nice garden furniture was really handy. All bedrooms are very comfortable and as described. The kitchen has everything imaginable in it! We had a wonderful stay in a great location within easy access of beautiful scenery and wonderful places to explore. We visited the Plough Inn for a meal which was really canny too. We would all recommend staying at Jane’s - it’s great!

Sarah was very easy to contact with any questions and gave us good advice with things to do locally. The location is quite and peaceful but within a 5 minute drive you can be close to shops, restaurants etc should you wish. The bed was sooo comfy. I would definitely stay again. 1 thing I would suggest is to read the instructions on how to get there provided by Sarah. I didn't until I got lost, then followed them exactly and took me right to the door 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
