Guesthouse vacation rentals in New York

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 weeks in the fall and loved it. John is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed for a longer stay, like lending kitchen stuff or a soccer ball. Agreeing with all the other reviews that this place is more spacious than the photos look! The kitchen is a little cramped for cooking but it definitely gets the job done, and the location is great.

Yvette was a great host, particularly with the flexibility she showed with check in. My bus got in late and she stayed up late to meet me and gave good instructions. Probably the cleanest AirBnB I have stayed in the city. Great restaurants nearby and close to Subway and Central Park. Really worth the value.

I love staying in unique Airbnbs when I come to NYC for work and this was definitely a treat. It was very much out of a movie and times gone by and yet so reasonably priced, comfortable and easy to access. Walk or ride to Columbia easily. LOTS of walkable shops and restaurants and easy access to trains. Don’t stay if you’re not keen on sharing a bathroom (I didn’t mind and it was never a problem) but note there’s only one shower (the floor I stayed on had just a bathtub) but it’s easy to get to either bathroom if one is occupied. There is a smell in the air that is perhaps the age of the home showing itself but worth mentioning because it might be off putting if you are sensitive to fragrances or other odors but I want to stress that it was VERY clean and nothing I co couldn’t fix in my own room with essential oils. GREAT communication and flexibility on Rene’s part.

Odalis was very nice and helped me a lot during my stay.Nice clean room, Odalis clean the bathroom every day.The neighborhood is quiet, and safe.This is a Spanish-speaking neighborhood, everyone is kind, enthusiastic. I am very grateful

The unit was clean and had everything we needed for a week stay. Host was very friendly and responsive. My wife and I just love the neighborhood.

Andreas was a good host and his place is very quite. parking can be a hassle with the parking being on the street and it seems this area has very bad drivers but I guess that's NJ in general. I would stay here again for the peace and quite.

We came to Long Island and stayed at Lisa’s AirBnb for 3 nights. Beautiful and quiet place and we would stay here again if we are in the area. Very responsive to messages.

Robert is an excellent host. He is not only responsive but very kind. The cottage was super clean and had everything one could possibly need. It looks exactly like the pictures. It is private and peaceful. Overall, our entire stay was amazing! I will definitely stay here again!

Nice place, loved the privacy of a separate building. Good location near the beaches, lots of restaurants and fun things to do. Neighborhood is a little run down, but charming in its own right. Pay was extremely responsible, gave clear instructions, and was very accommodating. While the unit is very private, the bedrooms are not - one is open to the living room (above the glass doors) while the other is only separated from the kitchen by a flimsy sliding pocket door). Nice place to go to enjoy the Jersey Shore in the Seabright area!

Space was perfect for us as we were visiting friends in Rumson for a few days. A little pricey for what it was, but since it was dog friendly and last minute, we didn’t mind. Kat was super friendly and very responsive. The space matched the description and pictures provided. There were a lot of local recommendations and even some little treats for our dog.

The bedroom has a lovely view of the NYC skyline. The neighborhood is stunning. Montclair restaurants were only a 5 minute drive away. Sean and Kathy were responsive and so helpful. Grateful to have been able to spend time at this space!

Absolutely STUNNING place - even better than the beautiful photos... Perfect for a few days of R & R with plenty of grocers and restaurants nearby. A completely luxurious home away from home with every amenity one could think of, including individual heating units for each room. A perfect place and one of the loveliest accommodations on this site...........

I stayed at Heather's cottage while having our floors refinished. It was so peaceful and cozy. It was the coldest week so far this Winter but the space not only had a cozy feel but the heat worked great and there are heated floors in the bathroom. The view of the river from the bed was spectacular. Having Hartshorne woods pretty much across the street made it easy to go for a nice run which was also a perk. Heather was extremely responsive making the week go by seamlessly.

We were attending a wedding & associated festivities and wanted somewhere walkable in the neighborhood - this fit the bill 100 percent, even though the weather was not the most cooperative! The place was a quiet oasis, the heated bathroom floors were lovely, and we always appreciate hosts providing enough coffee for our stay. Despite not cooking this go around, it is also good to see when there is actual thought put into what is in the kitchen cabinets & drawers - Andrew’s done a great job there. The only issue we had is that one of the windows did not close completely, which was a bit loud on the windier nights.

A Cotswold cottage in Larchmont! This charming place was incredibly quiet, comfortable and very clean. Every amenity you could possible need was provided. Joanna went above and beyond providing us with clear instructions and helpful hints to manage our stay. There are lots of fun things to do and good restaurants in Larchmont. The neighborhood even has hiking trails with bald eagles! We hope to come back soon!

Wonderful place! Cozy space that provided exactly what I needed. Heard a few footsteps above but nothing that disrupted my sleep or was an annoyance. Location near the train and various coffeeshop/bars cannot be beat. I will def stay again!

Beautiful neighborhood. Morning walks to the end of the private road were perfect during our fall trip. Close but not too close to lots of restaurants and highway when needed. Very quiet neighborhood
