Sa situation dominante lui permet une vue unique sur la vallée du Champsaur, le départ de randonnées aux portes du Parc des Ecrins, l'envol en parapente et un site d'escalade à proximité. En hiver, c'est aussi un spot apprécié par les adeptes de ski de randonnées ou de balades en raquettes.
