Located less than a mile from the edge of Hamsterley Forest, bring your bikes along as we can provide lock up storage, or put on those boots and head out for a walk around the forest. We are a work in progress, working farm, providing a comfortable and warm stay after a day of adventure. Hamsterley village is only 4miles away with a lovely pub with great food and drink as well as the club with great beer! Woodland village is also located nearby too with a pub opening Thursday-Sunday for drinks.

A charming, and beautiful cottage set within a courtyard in an idyllic ten acre woodland location. The cottage is every inch the beautiful setting for a romantic break away. The outside area of the cottage includes a raised platform & fire pit for your own use. Whilst it appears to be set in a remote rural location, it is in fact incredibly well-situated to be able to visit local attractions whilst being easily accessible from the main road: A1M . “A hidden gem definitely worth staying here!”

Centrally located in the fantastic village of Gainford which is set on the banks of the River Tees. The Loft is a beautifully appointed modern and bright two bedroom apartment, full of charm and character which overlooks the village. The apartment shares a Victorian building with its sister apartment, The Nook, and the Village shop. Opposite is the warm and friendly village pub, The Cross Keys, and 200 yards away is the village green with off road parking provided in the car park opposite.

Popular with cyclists & walkers, the Market Towns of Barnard Castle & Darlington only 8 miles away, North Yorkshire Dales a 20 minute drive. Entrance accessible at all time via key safe. Ideal for couples and walkers to enjoy a getaway amongst the beautiful countryside of the North Pennines. The approach to Kipling Cottage is stunning and gives you your first glimpse of the beautiful rolling countryside. Please note that the cottage is not suitable for toddlers/small children, and all children must be declared during the booking process.

Jessie's Hut

Our first hut (Ben's hut) was so successful, we've built another one !! Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut has a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre.
