Our cosy cottage has all amenities to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We have a small dining area in the well equipt kitchen, that can seat 4, a comfortable living room and the bathroom is upstairs, located next to the bedrooms. The hot water needs to be turned on when needed and takes approx. 30mins to heat up, the tank allows for a shallow bath but we have an electric shower. Please turn off all heaters when not in use. The cottage has on street parking and generally you can park next to the cottage otherwise it is a very short walk [approximately 50 metres to park on Main Street or at Williamson Hall. The cottage has free WIFI, FreeView TV, DVD player with lots of games, boxsets and films. For more info on Scotland and the surrounding area, VisitScotland online is a great source of information or search for Pitcaithly Cottage.

There is a local grocery store selling everything you will need without you having to venture to a supermarket or you can stroll along to Jamesfield, an organic farm shop. The village also has a tasty Café. There are great signposted walking routes, MTB & running trails and playparks. It also has a great museum with lots of local history. The Round Tower is one of only two left in the whole of Scotland. There are also outside tennis courts, available to rent, 5 min. walk from the cottage. Lindores Abbey Distillery is the nearest Whiskey Distillery and is only 3miles away in Newburgh. Full tours are available. For more info on Scotland and the surrounding area, search online for Pitcaithly Cottage or VisitScotland.
• We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. It is well equipped and positioned in the village. Linda was a great host and very welcoming. We will definitely be back in the future

• Lovely little cottage in central location...

Martin2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
• Cosy cottage with everything that you need, no complaints whatsoever. It was perfect for the three of us and two dogs. Linda was the perfect host and the cottage was lovely.

Yonas2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
• Linda is a great host. Had a really good time at her place.

Gustavo2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
• Actually, you can't say more than phenomenal! We arrived a little later than agreed, but after a short phone call with Linda #2 (the manager) we were already in the cottage. The cottage is located in a small side street of Abernethy and therefore very quiet. Until the next playground you only have to walk up the hill on the street. To get to the Round Tower come down the street. Linda has given us then also directly a few tips and in the folder of the house was also still some. As Central Europeans we are obviously not used to this normal British weather (always between 15-20°C) anymore. But for warmth we used electric radiators which always worked great. The week passed much too fast and we can recommend accommodation and hosts without any restrictions. Small tip: If you run up the mountain and continue up the witch's path you will eventually reach a "higher" mountain. The Castle Law is signposted at the foot. The ascent is steep and muddy when it has rained, but it is definitely worth it. From the top of the mountain one can see the Tay's foothills and the sea. Especially in the morning hours (I was up at sunrise) really enchanting. But beware, there is a stiff breeze up there, so put on long clothes.

I hope you will love my little cottage as much as I do. The cottage has been recently renovated and is full of quirky touches, the latest being my wine box stair case. I am sure you will enjoy the opulent black roll top bath but there is also a lovely rain head shower too. My place is close to family-friendly activities and great walks. The beds are super comfy and the place is warm and cosy! A good base for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
The house was built in 1760 and albeit it has been altered over the years I think it has maintained a rustic charm and inviting atmosphere. The cottage has a great wood burning stove which guests are welcome to enjoy so would suggest you put logs and kindling on your shopping list. There is also a super range cooker so if you are a bit of a whizz in the kitchen I am sure you will appreciate it. You will notice little nods to Alice in Wonderland all over Wonderland Cottage but particularly in the Alice Room and the newest addition which is a fantastic stair rail made by our local Newburgh Blacksmith. We can also accommodate extra guests in our Bell tent.
Newburgh has the first documented evidence of whisky making in Scotland, come and find out about its fascinating history at Lindores Distillery. You can book tours and at the weekends enjoy a drink in the fantastic Legacy bar overlooking the old Abbey ruins. If you are around on a Tuesday evening why not go along to the Bear Tavern and get involved in the very welcoming local singalong. Don't forget we offer Gourment dining at Wonderland but there are a couple of cafes in Newburgh for lunch time snacks and Perth and St Andrews have some great restaurants. Newburgh also boasts the gate to the Fife coastal path and offers fantastic walks and scenery with the river Tay only a 5 minute walk away.
• Wonderland cottage is so much more than the pictures and description give. The whole experience was made even better by taking Stella up on the chance to have a private dining experience in le petit chapeaux. Stella is a wonderful host and chef.

Lisa2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
• Don't miss out on this beautiful quirky wee cottage amazing host that goes above and beyond!(shouldn't say how good it is because won't be able to get any more bookings lol) fantastic can't rave enough about it can't wait to go back xx

Clare2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
• Wonderland is a beautiful, quirky cottage where you will be able to rest, relax, and escape from the world. We were there for a self-imposed writing retreat, and it was absolutely perfect. Although it is in a very small village, there is a co-op, a pub, a bank and a take away less than 5mins walk from the cottage, so you will have everything you need.

Deborah2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
• Stella is a phenomenal host, definitely take her up on the offer of dinner in her private restaurant, you’ll be spoiled rotten. The cottage is bursting with character and is perfect for a cosy getaway, right by the Fife coastal path.

Emily2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
• We had an amazing time staying at Stella's place. Beautiful, cosy, unique, quirky home, warm with everything you need. Good location for exploring places out with the town, great value for money and fantastic communication. Cannot fault, highly recommended!!

Halde2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
• Wonderland is a magical place, booking and communication with Stella was excellent, even when we wanted to add an additional few nights. We both felt the magic as soon as we arrived and it brought us back to childhood memories of play, fun and adventure. We arrived with fresh fruit, cereals, milk, bread and even the surprise of Tunnocks tea cakes! Stella cooked us an amazing 4-course meal during our stay and we had to walk it off the next day along the beautiful and scenic Fife coastal path. We look forward to visiting again. Stella had everything prepared to give us a warm and pleasant welcome: fully heated cottage, attentive decor and sufficient provisions so that we only have to land in our wonderful house and enjoy our stay ... Our hostess gave of herself to create this haven of well-being and you can feel it: you immediately imbibe this strength, the joy and the serenity that emanate from it. This is also what the village of Newburgh has to offer, with all the amenities we needed: transportation and store; what made us want: artistic inspiration and hikes; and the icing on the cake: pleasant and friendly inhabitants and a (micro?!) mild climate without lack of character, a rarity in the heart of winter. We have adored! The instant thunderbolt did not go unnoticed when we discovered the magical garden that Stella the beautiful has landscaped, with the same candor and power that the cottage exudes. Because we had opted for a dinner at the Petit Chapeau, the little veranda reserved for the cottage, our hostess, pro chef, amazed us by combining her gift as a decorator with her sensual culinary talents ... of a stone statue before attacking the delicious dishes! In short: we will return, we will see Stella again. Thank you, Stella, for all that you have given us. <3 Dave & Nat

• Fab place ....what a find!! You will love it

Michelle2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
• Wonderland is a cottage full of quirkiness and special touches. We were really touched by the arrival package of foods, milk and cereals. You could arrive really late at Wonderland and manage to get by until you can get to a shop. We loved the place.

• The check-in was super easy and communication from our host was great. The place itself is perfect. Lots of thoughtful touches. The shower was fab. Great wifi. We cooked in the basic but very serviceable kitchen. Bed linen was good quality and the beds were comfy. Location was perfect for us - we used it as a base for the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies, and also Balmoral (both were a decent drive away so this wouldn't work for everyone). Auchermuchty has a well-stocked Co-Op and then just the one pub within strolling distance plus a Chinese take-away.

Andi2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
• Sheila's house was ideal. A comfortable living space, all the amenities you need and fabulous little touches, which made our stay even more memorable. Topping it all, were the beautiful surroundings. I would, 100%, recommend a holiday here.

• Cosy and beautiful cabin with very welcoming host!

Claire2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
• Adorable spot, beautiful location exactly as described. Wendy was a great host, very helpful and friendly. Only downside is that it was a bit difficult to find and with the cold weather I would have preferred an attached bathroom! But it was very charming!

Amy2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
• A brilliant place to get away from it all. Snug on a cold evening listening to wind & rain. I cant wait to come back, it will be just as good sitting out on a summer evening. Highly recommended.

Fife2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
• The cabin is as beautiful as it looks, better even. We expected the WC to be a bit basic, but it’s so lovely too, and has a shower!! Wendy is great at giving all the info you need, very welcoming on arrival, then left us in peace from then on. In the cabin, everything has been thought about, despite the limited space. And it’s so cosy, but doesn’t feel cramped. It’s modern and rustic at the same time, and set in beautiful surroundings (yes, we saw some deer 🦌 in the morning), with the river at the bottom of the field. It’s also great value for money. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Brian2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
• Wendy's place is just magical- a cosy retreat right next door to nature. Every piece of furniture is well thought out and little touches have been left to make the trip extra special. Wendy is a wonderful host and I would certainly love to come back in the Summer to see the surroundings and enjoy sitting out on the deck. Book it!!

Katherine2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
• Lovely little retreat, great to take a break from the city for a night. We were there during a storm so couldn’t do anything outdoors but it was a very cosy place to relax and be warm. Wendy was amazing, she made us feel super welcome and we definitely want to go back when the weather’s a bit nicer to take advantage of the scenery around the place.

• Room well decorated and comfortable, in a very quiet house. Pauline is discreet but available if you have questions. The accommodation was perfectly clean. Breakfast is provided. Pauline has an adorable dog, but if you are not comfortable with dogs, she will not introduce you to them. You also have a tea room in the room with complimentary cupcakes! Thank you Pauline for welcoming us :)

• The flat is right in the middle of town and easy to find. The amenities are well thought out and met our needs as a couple and teenage son. Comfy bed and a well appointed kitchen with everything you need. Paula was very helpful and responded to questions promptly. It was as though nothing was too much trouble.

• At arrival we were promptly greeted by Paula & Michael before being given a useful tour of the access and flat itself. Paula never missed a thing and put in the effort to make sure our stay could be the best it could possibly be. With it being the weekend, we were even treated to a bottle of craft beer that Paula had surprised us with. Myself and my friend couldn't have felt more welcomed. The 'bothy' has everything you need for a short stay and is nestled right in the heart of the city nearby all amenities. This wee place is just perfect for a short stay and I will not hesitate to come stay again.

We renovated some old farm buildings to create a magical hideaway for visiting friends and family. Sawmill Cottage is private, restful, simple and calm with quirky, charming features, a beautiful log burner, garden with campfire area and a ping pong table in the old Sawmill next door. Very romantic aswell as fun for families and friends. Our location is a smashing spot to explore some of the best bits of rural Scotland, visit historic towns and dip into cities bubbling with culture.
Sawmill has a very peaceful and private location in rural Perthshire. But we are very close to Perth, 20 minutes drive from the exciting city of Dundee (one of Lonely Planet’s recommended places to visit), 45 minutes from Edinburgh airport, from Glasgow and even closer to Stirling with its incredible hilltop castle. We are a great location to visit Outlander film sites (including very pretty Falkland). And with the mighty Tay river and the Highlands closely we are a brilliant location for outdoor activities.
• We had a fabulous time at Sawmill cottage. It is really spacious, clean, cosy and stylish. It has everything you need for a short break and the locationis fabulous. Everything went smoothly from booking to checkout and we would totally recommend Louise as a host. We will be back!

Jacqueline2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
• Great accommodation, had such a peaceful New Years break. Cottage has been completed to a very high standard and beautifully decorated. Views are stunning and would definitely book again. A real find in a peaceful location. The dog loved running around the garden sniffing and exploring.

Brenda2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
• Gorgeous cottage set in beautiful countryside. Sawmill had everything we needed and was extra cosy with the log burner. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy more of the outside space!

Pauline2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
• Fantastic place to stay, very cosy & comfortable, very stylish accommodation. Feels very rural but actually very close to local shops, Perth & Dundee. Great outdoor space for children to play.

Deborah2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
• Sawmill Cottage is a cosy and delightful place to stay. Located in the heart of some wonderful countryside it offers the perfect base for peaceful walks. The property was spotlessly clean, welcoming and charming. We had two dogs and the secure wooded garden was perfect for them to explore and enjoy. Communication with the owner, Louise, was faultless and who made every effort to ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Totally recommend this property.

Angus2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
• This cottage does not disappoint; hidden away in the trees, it is a real gem. Great space with a secure garden for dogs and a campfire option for stargazing, stories and mashmallows! We were visited by lots of local wildlife including red squirrel and a buzzard that perched to check us out. The cottage is heated well, we stayed in November and didn't need to fire up the log burner. It is well stocked with books, movies and games if the weather keeps you in. Would highly recommend and hope to return.

Jackie2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
• Everything about our visit to Sawmill cottage was wonderful. The beautifully designed cottage is so warm and comfortable, as well as being very well equipped. Catering for small children and pets isn’t always easy, but this cottage has it all - plus plenty of much needed space. Louise is a great host and her responses to questions were so prompt and helpful. Having rented many holiday cottages over the years, I can honestly say this was the best by far. We’ll be back and will recommend this all our friends! Thank you Louise for a wonderful break.

A bright, spacious apartment in a quiet, off-road site in the very centre of Perth close to all amenities. It has a well-equipped kitchen and Sonos sound system and a double sofa bed for occasional use. There is a good sized shower room but no bath. Perth is a small but perfectly formed city with several music venues, a theatre and a variety of high quality restaurants. It makes an ideal base for exploring Perthshire and beyond, with direct rail and bus links to all other Scottish cities.
The centre of town is just five minutes walk away and the rail and bus stations are 10 minutes from the flat on foot.

• The Garden Flat always exceeds our expectations. The location is great - just a short walk into the city centre and also close to some nice walks just outside the city. The apartment itself is perfect, which is why we’ve stayed there three times! Jill and Dave are the perfect hosts and the apartment has everything you need. We will continue to stay at the Garden Flat whenever we visit Perth - we wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!

The room and adjacent bathroom were clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and a tasty breakfast. We would definitely recommend the place and book it again in future.

• Sandra’s place is in a great location, close to the city centre and only a 20-25 minute (easy) walk to the train station. The room was perfect for us. You are provided with breakfast every morning (put in the room the day before so not to disturb you in the morning) which is a lovely and much appreciated touch. The room was clean and extra blankets and a heater were provided if needed. I would definitely recommend Sandra’s place to anyone visiting Perth.

We have good bus links to Perth UHI and to the city of Perth. We are a 5 minute walk from a 24hr Tescos, Dobbies garden centre and Huntingtower Castle. We are about an hour away from Edinburgh and Glasgow and two hours from Inverness, so ideal for commuting. The house is just on the edge of Perth with good access to the motorways and within a very short time you can be in the country side. There is plenty of parking space at the house. It is a 20 min walk to the college from the house
Our home is situated in the countryside, surrounded by fields and sometimes sheep, and we can see Huntingtower Castle from our garden. The castle is only a two minute walk away. Even though we are in the country we are only a five minute walk from the Glover Arms restaurant, a 20 minute walk to Huntingtower Hotel, St Johnstone football stadium is a five /ten minute walk as is our 24 hour Tesco. There is plenty space to relax around the house and in the garden if you so wish and you can self cater if you do not want to eat out.
We like where we live very much as it feels like you are in the country but at the same time you can be in Perth in minutes.
• This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! The room was gorgeous, comfortable and clean! Jane is so lovely and helped with transportation and tips on where to go in Perth. There were also snacks in the room and great options for breakfast. Thank you for an amazing stay! I hope to come again!

Rothery2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
• 100% recommend. Jane has both a warm home and a warm heart. The room was impressively clean containing more than enough basic necessities - from extra toothbrushes to a handsewing toolkit to a kettle with tea bags and milk all in the room! The house itself is situated not far from a 24/7 Tesco for easily accessible shopping and it is also not far from areas ideal for walks. To say I enjoyed staying at Jane's would be an understatement. Jane is very lovely to talk to. It was a wonderful experience for me and I have no hesitation recommending this really fantastic place.

Samuel2020-03-03T00:00:00Z

Maria2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
• Absolutely outstanding hospitality in a beautiful home. Jane's house is in a great location, very close to the centre of Perth, but it feels like you're in the countryside. I was only stopping over for one night to break up a long journey north, but I think it would be perfect for longer stays too. I arrived in the dark and was very pleasantly surprised in the morning to see that it's a stone's throw from Huntingtower Castle, a very impressive 16th century castle. I couldn't resist going for a look inside - it's well worth a visit. Jane is a fantastic host who really understands what hospitality means, and makes you feel at home right away. The room was lovely, with so many thoughtful touches, including a generous selection of snacks. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log! Very highly recommended.

We have a couple of pubs in the village, if you fancy a drink then we recommend the Cycle Tavern. We also have a couple of convenience stores where you can pick up the essentials, we recommend The Co-op which is a 2min walk and offers a good selection of the bits and bobs you might need to keep you going.

• What a lovely find! It is in a quaint little village. Ewan’s place is lovely, thoughtfully left bits out such as washing tablets, fairy liquid etc as well as a bed for the dog, a bowl and some treats. So kind! Douglas loved the view from the balcony, as there were lots of birds flying around. The bets were comfortable. Really lovely place, thank you!!

Joanne2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
• Ewan has really thought of every thing. I couldnt fault it. Loved the wood burner, the bed was so comfortable, the place was spotlessly clean and the decor very stylish. Our dog was made very welcome too. Ewan clearly carers about his guests experience and it shows in how the house is presented. 5 out of 5!

The Pillars Bothy is a rustic, quirky, but clean and super comfortable cottage, sleeps 4, with shower room, wifi, heating and hot water from the super woodstove. At the edge of the woods but only 100m from Pillars shop and Cafe so not remote. Footpaths from the adjacent woods lead to Falkland (20 mins), Maspie Den with its overhanging waterfall, and the Lomond Hills.. a perfect place to enjoy the simpler things, but by car, Perth is 25mins, St Andrews 35 mins, Edinburgh 1 hour 10mins.
There is a separate downstairs bedroom with a double bed. There is also a double mattress on the floor of the mezzanine platform above the sitting room. It has a steep, ladder type stair so not suitable for very young children, but great for teenagers and romantic couples! There is an open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room with a wood stove, (which does all the heating and hot water) (free firewood!) and a separate toilet with walk in shower.
Walks and cycling straight from your front door. Fife is quite rural, but Falkland village is 20 mins walk away, with palace, pubs, shops, lots of history. St Andrews is 40 mins by car, Edinburgh 1 hour. The East Neuk of Fife has many picturesque fishing (Website hidden by Airbnb) Monans, Pittenweem, Anstruther, Crail. And not a sign of a nightclub anywhere ! Follow us on (Hidden by Airbnb) , (Hidden by Airbnb) and Instagram for more insight into the Pillars!
• We loved our weekend at the bothy. The kids slept up in the mezzanine and were cosy and warm. It was like a treehouse up there! We spent our time reading by the fire and listening to Ella Fitzgerald. We also walked into Falkland which is only 20 minutes away and had a lovely wander around. The farm café and shop are terrific and have a wonderful selection of food. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the café on Sunday before heading home. We'd love to come back again in the New Year.

• I booked Judy's place for two colleagues as we were having meetings at Falkland Palace and the Woodland Hub. Wendy and Nadine loved the space! Here are their words: “A beautiful little haven, tucked up against the trees. Just what we needed! Loved doing some walks through the woods... and so lovely to have the delightful Pillars of Hercules shop/café close by for yummy treats!” Wendy (Edinburgh) "I enjoyed so much your hospitality ... in this cosy lovely "cabane dans les bois"... Perfect for our retreat purpose, perfect to host and dive into some inquiries..." Nadine (France)

Jo And Louie2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
• The bothy is the most cozy, Judy is a great host and the pillars the best shop! Historic Falkland and fantastic walks nearby.

• We stayed here for 3 nights and it was so cozy! The fireplace was really authentic and we loved the wee house! The café and farm shop was lovely, we bought everything for our dinner there and cooked it in the bothy. Very close to Falkland which has nice stores, restaurants and Outlander locations :) Thanks for this stay, hope we can come back in the future.

Burnside Cottage is my lovely home, nestling at the foot of East Lomond Hill in the beautiful, historic village of Falkland. I have two double bedrooms ideal for tourists hoping to explore the history of the village and its surrounds and holidaymakers wishing to enjoy the pursuits of walking, climbing, cycling or simply chilling in the peaceful countryside. Guests will have access to all rooms except my bedroom. I am happy to provide breakfast and evening meals if required at an extra cost
The cottage is located on the outskirts of the village, at the end of a private road which also serves as a public right of way to the local children's playpark and gives access to walkers wishing to explore Falkland Estate. The cottage lies adjacent to the burn which flows through the estate so you are never far from the soothing sound of running water! The cottage has everything you need for your stay as you have access to every room with the exception of my own bedroom. Please be aware, however, that the bathroom for your own private use is situated on the ground floor, a staircase away from your bedroom on the upper floor. The bath downstairs also has shower facilities. My own bedroom upstairs has an ensuite, and I am happy to allow guests to use the shower in the ensuite if they have mobility issues. The larger bedroom has a balcony with lovely views over the estate and in warmer weather I leave out a patio table and chairs which allows guests to breakfast, enjoy coffee, quaff wine or dine out in the sunshine. The second bedroom is small but perfectly formed! Parking is not an issue, and guests can park on the road immediately opposite the cottage. If bikes need to be stored, there is plenty of room in the utility room. You are welcome to use all the facilities in the kitchen, to make and prepare meals, and there will be space made available in the fridge and cupboards for your own food if required.
There is a post office in the village which also acts as a convenience store. We have pubs and hotels, cafes and gift shops all of which are very good and popular. Stunning Falkland Palace is a "must see", (it was adored by Mary, Queen of Scots) and you can learn about its amazing history by going on a regular tour or stroll around the gardens and orchard and discover one of Britain's oldest original real tennis courts (but watch out for low flying birds!). Falkland is a great starting place for walks, cycle runs, climbing up the East and West Lomond hills, indulging in a bit of history, and for Outlander fans, spotting location sites and buildings often featured in the tv series. if you're really lucky, you might even turn up when filming is in progress. You might simply want a quiet break away from the hurly-burly of work and city life by relaxing in the peace and tranquility of the countryside on my balcony!
• Libby is a kind, considerate hostess. The house is lovely and the room is clean and comfortable, the garden and surroundings picturesque with the historic town of Falkland a stone's throw away and the regional park of the Lomond Hills literally on the doorstep. I would highly recommend Libby's cottage.

• This was the best weekend cottage me and my partner have stayed in and we have been in a few haha, everything down to everything been personalized with there name 'Stable Cottage'; little chocolates on the bed with 2 hot water bottles and lavender pillow spray to help you sleep I loved that, the fresh scones and clotted cream in the fridge with fresh milk and a basket of fresh eggs! Amazing location would definitely return in the future! 5/5

Marsha2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

• From the moment you arrive you can start to relax. We stayed over three nights with our two girls and had no issues at all. Communication was great with the host and it was lovely to meet Debbie on arrival who made us feel very welcome. Her home is fantastically furnished, clean, with lots of attention to detail and nice touches. The home is well equipped and although the WiFi is not the strongest, the TV package is awesome for those cosy nights in. You're about an hour from Edinburgh and its only about 30 minutes to Crieff. There's a supermarket not far away, but enough distance away that you feel in the middle of nowhere and its soooo relaxing. Just don't forget to say hi to the chickens. Thanks for a lovely stay Debbie. We'll see you again. Cx

• Wow! Petra's apartment is wonderful. From the stylish decoration, space and little touches. The location is fantastic right in the heart of the city centre. 1 minute walk from the shopping centre and main shopping street and an alleyway from a mini supermarket. Petra's kind hearted little touches such as milk, bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge, plenty of towels, shampoo, body wash and conditioner. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our catch up weekend stay in the apartment and I can't wait to find an excuse to visit Perth again and book this apartment. It really is a MUST. Thank you Petra.

My self contained flat above a separate garage ,set in a large garden has off road parking and is close to Perth city. In the village of Scone you can find grocery shopping , Chinese , Indian and pizza takeaways plus 2 Pub restaurants. My place is good for couples ,solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
My flat is self contained and separate from the main house , in a quiet area of Scone. Scone Palace is less than 2 miles away as well as the " Fair City of Perth" which has many attractions. Scone is surrounded by beautiful countryside to explore having cycling and walking routes. The Flat consists of two bedrooms - one with brand new double bed and one with brand new single beds. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a newly fitted and updated shower room. Please note it does not have a sitting room.
Quiet area of Scone village , close to the historic Scone Palace , which hosts many events including The Scottish Game fair and Rewind festival.
• An excellent little gem of a guest house. Wendy was very welcoming and flexible. The apartment was spotless and had everything needed to have a great nights stay. No WiFi, but no biggie as the 4G coverage in the area is excellent! There was also great little collection of DVDs, including Oliver and 007 Complete Collection - a nice little extra :) All in all, it felt like a little home from home!

Bryony2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
• The flat was perfect as a base for a few days in the Scone/Perth area. Wendy was very hospitable and communications were quick and simple. The flat itself was fresh and bright, with just what we needed to be perfectly comfortable. Drivers from North America, used to nice wide roads and driving forwards into parking spaces and garages would be advised to practice reversing before their arrival if they intend to use the car port, especially on a dark and rainy night. Others may enjoy the manoeuvre, I did.

Lovingly restored in 2011, Neuk Hoose is grade 2 listed which ensured we were able to stay true to the buildings historic roots. In it's former lives it has been a Police Station, Gentlemen's Barbour, as well as grocery shop. In fact it used to be dual purpose, the downstairs was a shop and upstairs was where the family lived. Neuk Hoose may not have acres of hallway but East Neuk charm and qurik it has by the bucket load.

The house sits back from the main road with a lovely sunny bench to sit on with your morning coffee to watch the world go by. Downstairs is the dining kitchen with all mod cons, we are a family of cooks so you should always find a sharp knife and all the tools you need to whip up a storm. The hoose is split level with the next floor up comprising of the living room, back porch and the main bedroom. Up on the top floor you will find two more single bedrooms and the bathroom, children all love "the cloud room" where they can see the sea from the window and watch the seagulls.

All linen, towels, heating, electricity and wifi are provided for you at no extra charge.
If you are looking for a traditional East Neuk fishing village house look no further than Neuk Hoose. Tall and thin the house is over three floors, it's got lots of charm and quirk whilst still providing you with the comfort you need for your holiday.
Crail is a conservation village and it really is stunningly beautiful, from the historic harbour to the pan tiled roofed houses, it is quaint, charming and achingly picturesque. Crail is also on The Fife Costal Path so there is miles of coastline to explore in either direction. We are just 9 miles from the famous university town and home of golf St Andrews. All within a five minute walk of the hoose is a family run independant butcher selling quality locally sourced meat, the friendliest greengrocer on the planet with shelves bulging with the freshest vegetables, fruits and also a fish counter with Crail Crab, and todays freshly landed catch of fish, he also sells fine wine and gin! Get your body back in harmony with Crail Wholefoods store where you can stock up on your lentils, pulses, environmetally friendly products and all the healthy goodies you could wish for. G.H Barnetts from Anstruther is a family bakery going back generations, luckily it's going from strength to strength so you can pop in for some mouth watering cakes, bakes and breads. Crail Pottery is a fascinating place, you can watch the potters at work before browsing the aladdin's cave that is the shop. Crail Gallery has some strikingly beautiful contemporary works both in limited edition print and original. A personal favourite is to buy freshly cooked lobster from the lobster shack down at the harbour, chips from our award winning fish and chip shop and have a picnic on the beach with a nice chilled bottle of something, sheer bliss.
• This is a really nice cosy traditional cottage in one of the prettiest villages in Fife. It's on 3 levels, which works perfectly well, and is located ideally for those looking to explore the East Neuk. The village has everything you could want, and there's a bus stop close by. I'd recommend it.

Mike2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
• A wonderful place to stay! With everything you need. We came with a 5 month old and they had everything we needed from cot to high chair, even weaning spoons and bowls. Also Crail is just gorgeous ! A Scottish seaside town and the house reflects this theme! Sadly the fish and chip shop round the corner was closed when we stayed but hey another excuse to stay ! Thank you Katie for everything. Fast communications as well.

• Another fantastic stay in Crail. The cottage is lovely, it's perfect for exploring the harbour, beach, fish&chip cafe and the lobster shack! We very much enjoyed our second stay here and I'm sure we'll be back again.

• Sandra's place is perfectly comfortable and clean, and only a short walk from Perth city centre. Sandra herself was a warm and welcoming host, and even provided breakfast, which was a very nice touch. Highly recommended.

• Sandra was absolutely lovely! Had some breakfast items put in my room every morning. The flat shakes a bit when large buses drive by, but the location is ideal and the bed was extremely comfortable! Would happily stay here again!

My place is close to public transport and the city centre. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, a great shower, well-equipped kitchen, fast Broadband and the cosiness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Lovely woodlands with a great network of trails are just outside the door.
The apartment is self-contained, with space outdoors for drinking and eating al fresco. It has a shower room and galley kitchen with hob, microwave/cooker and fridge. A TV with freeview is mounted on the wall. A dedicated WiFi router for the Den ensures fast Broadband. The bed is a full size double made up with a cover and scatter cushions for sitting on during the daytime. There's a large built in wardrobe cupboard for your clothes. The apartment has underfloor heating with thermostatic control. There is a porch where coats and boots can be left.
It's quiet and adjoins Kinnoull Hill woodland park with miles of trails and views over Perth and the surrounding countryside - ideal for walking, running and cycling.
• Great little place to stay, very warm and comfortable. Not far from the town centre, enjoyed our stay & would definitely book again.

• The Den is set in a beautiful location on the edge of Kinnoull Hill woodland Park and within easy walking distance of Perth city centre. We were looking for a quiet break to explore the local area and this was ideal. The accomodation itself was great and everything we we were looking for!

• Great little private den. 15 mins walking into the centre of town. 10 minutes up to a beautiful viewpoint in the forest. Super cosy and secure car parking

Sam2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
• The Den was wonderfully appointed and perfectly located at the base of Kinnoull Woods. I would absolutely stay here again!

• We had a nice stay at Malcolm's place, although we didn't meet him. The place is lovely, clean and comfy and located near the city centre and the woods as well, where you can find plenty of walks.

Nicolas2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
• Lovely space a great distance from the city. Make sure you have a stroll in the woods as it’s on your doorstep!

Stephanie2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
• The “Den” a perfect stay. In a beautiful neighborhood and just next to the Kinoull Woods pathways for walking. We walked easily to the Perth Concert Hall one evening. It’s easier going down than back up but very doable for us 70’somethings. It was a safe n quiet neighborhood. The Den was clean, kitchen well equipped, and comfy. Malcom and family great Super Hosts. A must Stay!

• Very clean & lovely room and a wonderful, brand-new bathroom with a fantastic shower! Sandra was very helpful in arranging our arrival and we had an extremely pleasant stay at hers!

Rebecca2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
• We stayed at Sandra's place just one night, it had everything we needed. The shower room is very modern and clean, however is not an ensuite (we assumed it would be), but it is just across a small corridor and exclusively for our use anyway. For the price, great value for money. Sandra was very friendly and even offered us a lift into the city as it was terrible weather outside.

Georgia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
• Everything was as expected. The private bathroom was clean and we loved the chocolate twists at the breakfast :)

Guillaume2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
• Sandra's house was clean and confortable. The breakfast was ready at the evening so we could take it when we wanted. The shower room was private and there was everything we needed! We recommend it

Emma2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
• Great place, Sandra is such an amazing host.

Iben2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
• Sandra is a great host, communication is exceptional. We even selected our breakfast before our arrival. The room is very comfortable and a very nice shower room was available for our use only.

Linda2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
• Perfect place to stay. Close to restaurants and places of interest. Vegan breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Very clean and quiet, comfy bed. Just perfect.

A little gem of a cottage, The Little Lodge is romantic, peaceful, has a lovely garden and is tucked away in Perthshire in a great location - 45 minutes from Edinburgh, St Andrews and Stirling, 50 minutes from Glasgow, 30 minutes from Dundee, on the doorstep of Perth.
The Little Lodge is light and cosy with quirky decorative touches, a log burning stove, plenty of books and games, wi:fi and local walks.
In a peaceful rural location off the beaten track but Perth is 10 minutes away.
• Had a great weekend at the lodge, stylish and comfortable. It was super cosy with the stove lit (central heating is great as well), and the dog loved exploring the brilliant garden

Dougie2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
• We really enjoyed our stay in this gem. The Cottage is really beautiful and cozy, decorated very thoughtfully. Great central base for exploring pretty much anywhere in Scotland from the lochs to the coast, with Perth a 10 min drive yet it feels very secluded and peaceful. To top it off, in years of using Air BnB, we have never experienced such wonderful hospitality as we did here. Loiuse and her team were great hosts, very accommodating of our requests and we were really looked after. We had a minor water issue and it was fixed immediately, even though it was late Xmas eve! Look forward to returning!
