  • Amazing place to stay and we will definitely be back to stay with sean again. The house was sparkling clean, and everything went very smooth. The house was heated and the lovely stove lit for our arrival. When we came back to the house on Saturday evening from a cold wet day, the stove was lit again and house warm for our arrival. The house is ideally located with the towns of claremorris, castlebar amd Westport a short drive away. The welcome we received from the locals was amazing and the hospitality in the local pub was something we will never forget. We are looking forward to our return already to Sean’s and Ballyglass. If you are booking - you will not be disappointed

    Stephen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It is a neat and lovely house, with more space than I expected. Two bathrooms, big kitchen. Good beds. Quiet place. And enough turf for the fireplace. The view on the mountains (from upstairs or outside) with snow on it between the green lands is fantastic. Lovely place to stay!

    Deborah2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sean and his wife were very welcoming, fire was lit for us when we arrive and the cottage was so homely. Plenty of leaflets on what's available to do locally. • T.J. and Tom are amazing people and excellent hosts. They were able to help us during our stay which was cut short because of the Coronavirus. I cannot find the words that express how pleasant our stay was while others were beginning to panic. If you are in the area, I suggest you stay at T.J.’s. I do not think you would be disappointed. It is in a great location and the bar next door (Kittys) was great. Everyone was friendly and welcomed us into the conversations. Overall, this apartment felt like home.

Enjoy a peaceful , quiet stay in our charming old dairy within a sympathetically restored old stone byre on our lovely equine farm in East Mayo. Original charm and a homely heritage feel with a unique global twist.Surrounded by lovely country side and walks along quiet boreens. Meet our friendly rescue horses and donkeys , and enjoy a scenic, relaxing rural experience . Knock airport just 15mins away. Provisions for a simple breakfast complimentary to start your day as you explore or rest.
This stay is an authentic Irish experience, a little off-grid with modern comforts. It is for a couple or solo guests . The Old Dairy is a traditional stone building over 400 yrs old. It is within the original byre where family and farm animals once all lived together. It is a heritage space not a new build and you will be in a rural environment so expect this to impact your stay and enjoy and embrace its difference, as we do. Warm clothing for cool nights is recommended. Your own WC/cloakroom is not ensuite but adjacent in the same building. Hot showers are taken in the main farm cottage close by. The dairy is peaceful , quiet, pleasant and spacious . There is comfortable seating, stove heater , a high sleeper bed with double and single above , toaster & kettle, plus TV monitor for playing a selection of supplied DVDs. Also books, games etc. We are happy to provide a packed lunch, with 24hrs notice, at a small charge. There are also bikes you may use to explore the local area Our farm is a lovely sanctuary for our rescue horses, ponies and donkeys . All revenue from the dairy helps us in our work. We specialise in rehabilitating abused equines and training the heavy working horse so both ourselves and our animal friends are always grateful for your visit.
Located in a peaceful nook between Swinford and Kilkelly we welcome you. Listen to the birds sing the day away and gaze at the stars in the beautiful Mayo dark skies. Watch our traditional cobs graze and play as they roam in a natural herd , make friends with the donkeys (carrots supplied) or maybe help collect our, truly, free range eggs.
  • This is a unique stay in a 400 year old dairy barn! If you like peace and quiet-this is a cute place. Kitchen available and there was plenty of food to eat! Be sure to put the code (letters and numbers) in your google maps as it is out in the country!

    Kathryn2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot say enough how much I enjoyed staying here! Definitely the experience I was looking for! Livvi was so hospitable and accommodating! If you’re looking for something off the beaten path where you can relax with nature and enjoy peace and quiet than this is the place.

    Christina2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best Airbnb I ever stayed at. Livvi was an extremely gracious and generous host, and overlooked no details in ensuring our stay was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed her stories and conversations. Her farm is beautiful and her rescue animals are amazing creatures, especially the donkeys! Staying in the countryside was a great experience, and Livvi provides this location at prices comparable to what one would find in a hostel. I would recommend this stay to anyone who wants a little different experience from a traditional hotel, hostel, or Airbnb and is looking for warm hospitality!

    Ashwin2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Livvi was a perfect host. The barn is well equipped and has many lovely touches. Livvi took our daughter to feed the donkeys and ponies and was very kind and gentle with her. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

    Sinéad2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Livvi is a wonderful person who cares for her guests and is very communicative. Although the farm is located near the airport you are surrounded by nature. So it is a great place to calm down and enjoy the farm life and spend some time with the cute animals. In the cozy house there is everything you need. Even though it can get cold at night you can make yourself comfortable with blankets and a stove fire. We loved it! Thanks a lot, Livvi.

    Mona2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great apartment, spacious, clean and well-equipped. The hosts are very hospitable. I recommend!

    Paweł2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best Airbnb we’ve been to! Livvi was a wonderful host; very thoughtful and welcoming. The old dairy was very cozy with everything you need for a nice stay. The dogs and the donkeys were lovely. This was a perfect stop on our drive along the coast. Wish we stayed longer, don’t hesitate to book here as we are already planning on coming back! Thanks again Livvi!!

    Kevin2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice landlady! We felt so well that we did not want to continue. The dogs donkey and horses I immediately closed in the heart. It is very warm inside, the bed comfortable. Breakfast is very good. In the evening you can cuddle up in the armchairs, listen to the rain and watch Dvd. We come back 100%!

  • Beautiful tastefully decorated room in a lovely house set in the countryside, surrounded by Hills and fields. Mary’s home is a perfect hideaway for a relaxing stay. Plenty of parking, easy to find and a short drive away from the town which hosts lots of shops and restaurants. It’s also only half an hour from West port, which is well worth a visit if you’ve come down this direction. The room was huge, big comfortable bed with an electric blanket, lots of pillows and towels. We had bathroom right next door for our private use. Mary and Seamus went out of their way to make us feel at home and we loved our stay. We would highly recommend a stay here.

    Wendy2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay with Mary and Seamus. Their hospitality is second to none, the room is large and comfortable and was spotlessly clean. Definitely a good spot to spend a night and pick up recommendations when travelling the west coast.

  • Mary is a lovely lady who was very thoughtful when she brought us tea and biscuits after our long drive from Tralee up to Balla. In the morning she made us a nice breakfast as well with cereals, toast and tea/coffee while chatting to us about life in Ireland. The room is excellent with a heating blanket provided in the bed in case it gets cold during the night. The private bathroom was very handy as well. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you, Mary! :)

  • These two are really special. I was met when I first arrived and guided to the parking and location of the home. There was a warm heater behind the bed which made sleeping so cozy. The room was like have your own little apartment. I was later told that part of the home had a history of 200 years old . Just amazing. The location was so close to everything shops, dining and groceries. I felt recoup for the rest of my travels after being there for two nights. I would diffently stay at this local again.

  • A perfect place to stay. Clean, bright, quiet, spacious and modern. I was on a cycling trip and so the facts that there was a really good shower and that I could adjust the temperature of the room really easily were also important to me. Also, the place was really easy to find. Agnes was a great host and ensured that I had everything that I needed. Impossible to find fault with any aspect of my overnighter. Many thanks, Agnes!

The house is on an acre of private property in the heart of County Mayo in the west of Ireland. The views from the front of the house are of Lough Carra, a 4,000 acre lake famous for it's fishing and diverse wildlife.
The property is on the site of what was originally a boathouse for a country estate built in 1786. The boathouse still stands to the rear of the property. The house itself was built in 1968 by my grandfather, a keen fisherman, as a holiday home. When my grandfather passed away my father started renting the house mainly to fishermen, he even had a boat hire business that he ran from the old boathouse. The house looks south onto Lough Carra, a 4,000 acre lake. We have decking outside the house and garden furniture to relax on and enjoy the serenity. There is almost an acre of private property for guests to roam around in and a large lawn to relax or picnic on. We have an open fire which is the primary source of heating in the living room. The internet is quick and there is a strong mobile phone signal from the house. We have a few board games, playing cards and a vintage Rubix cube to while away the evenings by the fire. Many guests park their cars, close the gate and don't leave the property for a week.
  • We loved our stay at Moorehall. Patrick was a great host. It is like a beautiful little sanctuary away from the busy world. A true gem of a place in beautiful Mayo. We will definitely be back!

    Deirdre2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • You won't find a more amazing location than Patrick's place it's simply stunning. The peace and the quiet are second to none and it's so beautiful. If you're looking to get away from it all and enjoy nature then you won't find better. The accommodation had everything you could need and we really enjoyed our stay, I can't recommend it enough.

  • Believe all the reviews, this spot really is as lovely as everyone says. Set in its own private grounds, right on the lake, this is an ideal getaway for, well, anyone looking to get away! Unfortunately, I wasn't blessed with good weather during my stay, but I still spent plenty of time out on the deck watching the lake and the many different inhabitants. I saw frogs, a swan family, starlings, moorhens, robins, magpies and, on my final morning, a grey heron, all up close (the frog sat in my hand!) . Completely unspoilt and with great woodland/ forest walks nearby in Moorehall. A really special place to stay. Bring all your own food and have a completely off-the-grid self-catering break. Also ideal for dark-sky watching- absolutely zero light pollution on a lake in a forest around 25 mins drive from any towns! Again, unfortunately, the weather didn't allow for much of this during my stay but I had just as good a time sat by the fire with the wind and rain beating down outside. Felt very safe here, despite being near nothing or no one. Really wish I'd had just one more day! For entertainment, Ballinrobe is a lively town with everything you could need (including a massive Tesco's for stocking up!) on an easy route around 25 mins drive away. Claremorris is roughly the same distance in another direction, lots of good places to eat and friendly people and independent shops. The cottage is simply a delightful place to zone out and enjoy wildlife. Absolutely delightful accommodation, a real find

  • Patrick’s place was one of the most beautiful place where we have been. Right in front of the lake where you can do fishing and very quiet environment so you can sleep very well. He responded very quickly every time we had a question. If you wanna stay outside of city to look for a good calmness, this place offers you what you look for...

    Mami2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is an incredible place, very quiet and peaceful! A perfect spot to get away and relax a bit. Will absolutely be staying here again in the future.

    Will2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • A tranquil place to sit, be still and watch the world go by. This is a perfect hideaway or retreat for 1 or 2 with walks and nature right on the doorstep and a fire to spend the evening by. Wonderful

    Michael2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely the place to go if you want to get away from it all. Was peaceful and relaxing. We spent most of our days sitting taking in the wonderful view which constantly changes with the light and weather. There was plenty of wildlife - a mink, the swan family, ducks, a coot, dragonflies, frogs, a heron, kingfisher (all seen on or around the jetty at the front of the house) and at dusk you can watch the bats and murmuration of starlings along the front of the house. Every morning I went for a walk around the garden to see what new mushrooms had come up overnight. Moorehall is at the back of the house on the other side of the road, lovely place for a forest walk. The house was better than expected as I had expected a glorified boathouse / shed and it was surprisingly cosy and warm. For a small space it is well decorated/designed with plenty of storage. The kitchen is more than adequate and has a lovely wooden worktop. The bed was very comfortable and has an electric blanket if needed. The house is a good base for exploring Mayo & Galway. We visited Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, Cong, Galway, Westport, Newport, Achill Island and Castlebar. Claremorris and Ballinrobe are both nearby for shopping or if you want to eat out. We visited The Old Arch in Claremorris a couple of times and the sunday lunch was really good. If we ever visit the area again we would stay here - excellent value for money.

The bungalow is situated 5 minutes walk from the centre of Claremorris with it’s restaurants, pubs and shops. There is a train station in the town as well as buses providing transport to Galway, Dublin and Westport. Knock airport is a 20 minute drive from the house and the shrine at Knock is 10 minutes. It is very well situated for exploring the West of Ireland. If you like walking explore the Wild Atlantic Way, Achill Island, Enniscrone beach or climb Croagh Patrick.
Being a bungalow the rooms are all on one level so no stairs to negotiate. There are 2 guest bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single bed. These rooms have exclusive use of the bathroom at the end of the hall which has a bath and over bath shower, wc and handbasin. You are welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook for yourselves as long as you wash up and leave it tidy. I provide a continental breakfast of juice, coffee or tea, cereal, toast and homemade marmalade. You may also use the garden patio if the weather is nice or the very comfortable living room with wood – burning stove and Sky TV to relax after a long day’s sightseeing or travelling. The dogs and I are happy to join you for a chat or we can retire to our own area and leave you in peace to enjoy the home comforts as you wish.
  • Lovely quiet bungalow on the edge of the town, stove was lovely and warm in the sitting room, and host said to make myself at home and had full access to kitchen and cooking if needed. Room was small & cosy with wifi and desk & chair and right next to bathroom which was spotless. Tricia the host was very helpful. Denis

  • You can expect a warm welcome in a very clean house which is very close to the town of Claremorris.

    Don2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best and most excellent Air B&B experiences I ever had !! Prior arrival Tricia communicated very quickly with directions and tourist attractions to see in the area. Upon arrival I was stunned with the beauty of her house & big garden, which were decorated to the highest standard, cleanest rooms and bathroom facilities. Tricia asked me about my dietary requirements and made me a gourmet breakfast with fresh grounded coffee each morning. I was invited to use her kitchen, washing machine and beautiful living room. The house has a very positive atmosphere and the rooms are very private, the bed was super comfortable and the linen & towels of high quality .. like a 5*hotel .. . My stay with Tricia re-energized me, and it was a perfect holiday experience. Tricia was incredibly helpful with her time and advise, she is very professional, kind, respectful, caring and you can have a great chat with her :-) Tricia’s house is certainly the best place of you want to visit the Clarmorris area, it is very central and I highly recommend that you book several nights with her to get the full Mayo experience! It is a home if you are away from home and you will not want to leave :-) Thank you very much for having me Tricia and I look forward to book in with you during my next trip to Ireland :-))

    Uta2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was my best Airbnb experience so far. Tricia is an excellent host, very thoughtful and caring. She has picked me up by car and dropped me off when I was leaving too. We also went on a trip to a beach about an hour away. Tricia is very relaxed and always calm, enthusiastic about sharing stories and casual chatting, but also very respectful when you want some time on your own. The small town of Claremorris is very charming with all the amenities you need, a beautiful park and a lake, all within walking distance of Tricia’s house. I highly recommend staying with her as I definitely would again!

    Aneta2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best Airbnb experience I ever had so far, it couldn't be better than this! I highly recommend whoever visit to Mayo to stay in Tricia's house. She kindly pick me up from the bus station, when I arrived at her place I just felt like home immediately. The interior of her house is so beautiful with exotic decorations, very clean and also comfortable. She is a very nice person with good humour, I was very enjoyed to chat with her and being there. There is a lovely walk and a lake, you can walk to the shops or town, the breakfast was great, just everything was perfect for me. Thank you Tricia :)

  • This was our second stay with Marie and it was amazingly even better than the last. We left a few tips on our last stay and Marie had made those small improvements as well as many others. Marie embodies Irish hospitality and we absolutely love staying at her house. Great location if you’re trying to see much of the west coast (Cliffs of Moher, Ashford Castle, Connemara Ring, Galway and more). We are already looking forward to the next stay.

    Seth2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maries place is outstanding. We loved everything about it, from the rooms to the location. We stayed here as a base for work and the fast broadband was very much appreciated (33Mpbs) This is easily the best airbnb we have stayed in and we will definitely be back.

  • Marie, Millie and family are incredibly special hosts with a triple AAA rating !! The home is magnificent, cozy, super clean, and everything you could possibly need is there for your stay. Marie’s homemade brown bread and jams are delicious and what a special treat ! This was the most special connection we made during our first visit to Ireland.

    Joy2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Marie and Millie were very warm and welcoming hosts, providing a thorough orientation of the house and the local area. They were always quick to respond should we need anything and even took the time to show my young daughter the animals on their farm. The house is very well located being in close proximity to the airport, shops and town. It did get a little noisy during the night as it’s beside a big road but it’s mostly a peaceful spot. The modern communal kitchen/dining area was perfect to relax in but the older parts of the house had rustic country charm. The house was clean with comfy beds and warm showers. Overall, a very pleasant stay with friendly hosts who care about your comfort.

    Tara2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely home close to Claremorris and Knock. Well maintained and quiet, despite the proximity to the N17 road. The owner is very friendly and helpful but lets you have your privacy. There are three bedrooms. The main bedroom with the ensuite bath is on the upper floor, and the other two are on the ground floor. The kitchen/dining room is especially lovely, with its high ceiling and skylights. To sum up, we had a very good experience and would recommend this home to others.

  • Elaine's place is an easy 15 minute walk (1.3 km) from the Knock Shrine. There are sidewalks so the walk is safe. It is perfect if you want to stay somewhere simple, away from the busyness surrounding the Shrine. The place was simply furnished but immaculately clean. I found the setting to be very peaceful as it is surrounded by pasture land. Elaine prepared fresh scones upon my arrival and they made for a very tasty breakfast.

  • Beautiful cottage and Helen is a great host. We really appreciated the breakfast hamper and fire stuff all ready for us when we arrived. The cottage is lovely and clean and Helen had everything there for us that we needed! We stayed as a family and couldn't have asked for more. We also really enjoyed having our dog with us too. This is a perfect place if you want some peace and quiet. But also a great base for exploring Mayo.

  • The cottage is amazing, with lovely personal touches, a nice fireplace, a very well-equipped kitchen and fantastic beds. The surroundings are beautiful and it's location is perfect for exploring this part of Ireland. I didn't get to meet Helen, but communicating with her was pleasant. Hope to be back some day!

  • We had the most perfect stay in this cottage. Our hosts were very attentive and friendly. The cottage had so many little touches which made our stay so much more perfect and the area was beautiful, right beside a lake and shops close by. Also dog friendly and she loved playing in the fields. We would definitely return 🙂. Jamal, Amy & Lily 🐶

Carmel recommended us to a local pub and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal there. Great that we didn’t have to travel back into town. Carmel provided us with a delicious breakfast with fresh eggs, smoked salmon and wonderful soda bread. Perfect....

  • Had a lovely relaxing stay. Marie is a lovely woman and a great host who has a very sweet tiny dog and a friendly cat. The house is very calm and relaxing. Thanks for having us Marie!

    Kelly2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marie’s home is a charming place in the middle of the countryside. Tesco and other amenities are about a ten minute drive away, unsure whether or not it is along a bus route. Marie is extremely kind, friendly, social, and hospitable. She immediately offered tea, cakes, good conversation, and recommendations when we arrived. Her home is full of art, photos, and other knick-knacks she has collected throughout the years. You can tell she cares deeply for her space, family, and her dog (Speedy). Just a heads up to future guests: there is no wifi in the home so plan your visit accordingly. If you are in need of internet access, Marie is quick to let you know where you can connect. The room is a perfect size and very clean with a private washroom connected. It was cold at night, which we enjoyed, but she does have a space heater available. Thank you again Marie, for having us. We enjoyed our stay, although it was short, and hope our paths will cross soon.

    Brid2020-03-16T00:00:00Z

  • The house is great, clean and is much bigger than it looks in the photos. The location is perfect with places to park, eat and drink just on the doorstep. Brendan's communication was faultless and we would definitely recommend. And will hopefully be back!!!

  • My family and I where attending Feile weekend in kiltimagh and the house was perfectly situated in the middle of the town . Brendan could not have done enough for us ..so friendly and welcoming ..with lovely fresh scones on arrival..the only complaint is that the beds are probably the most comfortable that we ever slept in , making it impossible to get up in the mornings.

    Eileen2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here as a base for the weekend. This property is ideal if visiting the area. The small touches Brendan put in were really appreciated by the group. Everything you need is right on your doorstep. WiFi is excellent and really comfy beds. Everything you need is there. The communication from day one was excellent and we really appreciated Brendan calling in person to ensure we had no issues. Can't recommend this property enough. We will be back.

    Lisa2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen has really put thought into each detail of his campsite! He was also quick with responses and onsite to help! The hobbit holes were precious and he also had adorable Aframes and a Harry Potter themed accommodation on site as well. The pizza kitchen and hot tub were also fun! I would highly recommend visiting in the summer to get the full experience, but it was still fun just to say you stayed in a Hobbit hole!

    Theresa2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our brief stay here. The themed cottages add a lot of character to the site. The adult area (hot tub) was relaxing and we loved making pizzas in the outdoor oven. Even though it was a cold and wet time, we had a great time. I would imagine during the warmer months, this place would really shine. My only recommendation would be to add some interior decorations to the accommodations to supplement the themes. Our hobbit house was barren and lacked coziness. It's a small point, and didn't subtract from our good time. Highly recommend.

  • Bernie was a great host and she respected the social distancing guidelines. She had plenty of hand sanitizer left out for us and lots of supplies. She would have gone above and beyond for us and what a lovely establishment she has too. The rooms were perfect for our family and a great place to relax during lockdown.

We arrived much later than we had intended and Bernie stayed up to settle us in, which was above and beyond! The inn was very clean, breakfast was wonderful, and the bathrooms were well stocked with toiletries. Bernie also provided us with tips on nearby places to visit and detailed directions. Whitethorn Cottage is an authentic olde world Cottage built in the 1800’s . It is adorned with artifacts from that era while at the same time providing the guest with comforts that they expect. It is a writers haven as time stands still once you enter the space. A truly holistic mindful setting. An ideal place to visit to escape the stresses of modern life. On site there is George & Harry both therapy horses. The property is situated between Swinford & Kilkelly.
It is so private and peaceful.
Rural, wide open spaces with some lovely views.

  • Beautiful cottage, authentic to old Irish home

    AnneMarie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Anne's cottage was impeccable, beautifully restored, furnished and decorated. It was a privilege to stay there for a week as our base for day trips in the west of Ireland. The Whitethorn Cottage is peaceful and quiet (we had amazing sleep) and Anne went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We also enjoyed getting to feed apples to her two therapy horses, Harry and Sugar. My partner and I would return there without hesitation.

    Martine2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Anne’s cottage is really lovely, and she is so great! She left me delicious scones, and was really helpful when I got a bit lost. I wish I had booked more time there!

    Jenny2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Whitethorn Cottage is an oasis of calm, peace and tranquility, a true escape from the hustle and bustle of today's hectic world. It is also a rare opportunity to stay in a very traditional Irish cottage. While retaining so many of the original features the owner has also created a very comfortable environment. The bright extension to the rear provide a great work space with lovely views of the gardens and surrounding fields.

  • This is a really special place. Perfect for families and for exploring Ireland’s amazing West coast.

    Michael2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we opened the door into this beautiful cottage we were filled with delight. The stunning decor mixed beautiful touches of old Ireland with modern amenities creating the perfect fairy-tale space. The little garden table was spectacular for coffees in the morning sun and the tall trees gave beautiful shade for a read in the hammocks in late afternoon. Fairy lights and beautifully thought out landscaping and special touches made the whole space feel magical. My son (2 yr old) adored it so much he didn't want to leave! Aside from the beauty of the place itself the cottage is fantastically situated with so many wonderful sights, towns and activities within reach. We explored the Wild Atlantic Way, Croagh Patrick, Westport, Castlebar, Glencar Waterfall, Lissadell House and W.B Yeats grave to name a few places and there is so much more to see! We will definitely be back for more soon :)

    Kimberley2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ann’s property is a slice of heaven. We were in town for a family reunion and unlike our family we opted out of staying in a hotel, and thank goodness we did. We stayed for three nights and we couldn’t have been happier. Perfect for breakfast at the kitchen table and reading by the fire. And a relaxing place to go back to after touring the countryside all day. Would high recommend, even if you have no other to be in that part of the country a stay at Ann’s place is reason enough.

  • Lovely place, great for a family. There’s even some toys, books and dvds for kids. Garden is beautiful. Lovely short walk to scenic views and to see trains whizz by- suitable for the littlest of legs (my 2 year old walked it!)

We have three bedrooms available for guests, two of these are ensuite doubles and the third is a twin bedroom with access to the main bathoom. Prices are per room and include breakfast. Special rates for groups and multiple nights can be arranged with the hosts. We are approximately 10minutes from Ireland West Airport NOC and 5 minutes from Knock Shrine and so our home is an excellent gateway to the west.
  • Great hosts. Very hospitable. Spotlessly clean. Use of a separate tv room(with massive tv!) great surprise bonus :) Would definitely recommend!

  • Common areas disorderly because of Colm as an antique collector, but in all other respects a very good stay and Colm very nice and gracious. The bedrooms fantastic bringing you to another era. Going up from ground to first floor where the bedrooms and bathing was, is beyong any expectation... Queens Chambers...!! Must appreciate all the wood items...

  • Colm is very nice and has attention for the people who come to his home. The rooms are big and clean. We could use his kitchen freely. Our car was in a private parking. He likes antiques.

  • We absolutly loved the space and the vintage chic decoration. Beds were so comfy. Colm is very welcoming and friendly and picked up a wonderful French restaurant nearby. Highly recommended.
