Audrey was a great hostess and the home was comfortable and very convenient to downtown KBT. You won't regret it if you have the chance to visit this beautiful corner of the world and to do it by staying here!

Audrey and Andy were great hosts, hospitable, friendly and provided a fun atmosphere. We certainly recommend them as hosts. We were in Kirkcudbright for the Jazz Festival, which was excellent. The town is well worth a visit for its arts and history.

Super easy to find with easy parking access. Audrey is very warm and welcoming. Her home is clean and charming. Wish I could give it 10 stars for the amazing shower she has for guests. Kirkcubright is a delightful town and a great spot to stop when exploring the SE Scottish coast.

Audrey was a great host with a nice, large room, with easy waling access to the center of town. There is a very nice bathroom with shower, plus a separate WC - so no queues! Audrey would have provided breakfast, but we had an early start so got a great breakfast at the Station House (opens at 7.30). Audrey made us very welcome and we would be very happy to stay at her house again.

First visit in the beautiful Scottish west, the village is charming, country side just perfect for long walks and our hosts were very welcoming. The house is big_living in London everything here by comparaison, seems so spacious ;) We enjoyed the calm of the house. We had a wonderful experience, and we particularly loved the kitchen. There is there an authentic Aga, a cooker, heater and oven all in one that gives the kitchen a very warm welcome when you wake up for breakfast. We will come back with no hesitation. Thank you for your hospitality.

Audrey really made us feel at home with a warm and cheerful welcome. We really loved Audrey's home and garden. The room itself was large, clean and bright, also quiet allowing peacful nights' sleep. Kirkcudbright itself is compact and charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Audrey was very welcoming and mad me feel very much at home, and I enjoyed our chats and the attention of Ellie, the young puppy. Welcoming tea when I arrived and porridge in the morning. A lovely spacious room and comfortable bed. and a nice welcome touch with filtered water and grapes. A very welcoming and friendly experience.

A delightful little abode and ideal for a getaway for two people. Everything there appeared to be almost brand new, and the owner even left a welcome package which enabled us to survive without immediately going shopping. We had a lovely short break in this beautiful cottage, which is situated in a quiet back lane in Kirkcudbright, but still close to the centre so shops and tourist attractions in the town can be reached easily on foot. The cottage was immaculately presented, beautifully decorated and cosy, clean and comfortable. Isa made us feel very welcome on arrival. Highly recommended!

4 Mews Lane is a fantastic holiday cottage in a very central location for exploring the town of Kirkcudbright and the wider Dumfries and Galloway area. The cottage is located in the town centre in a quiet street so there was no noise and you could walk to everything in just a few minutes. Isa was extremely welcoming and her communication was fabulous. She'd left basic supplies like fresh milk, tea, coffee and even shortbread and some lovely daffodils for our arrival which I thought were nice touches. The cottage is very cosy and the beds super comfy. We didn't do any cooking during our stay but the kitchen was very well equipped and I would describe the whole cottage as having a home away from home feel to it. I texted Isa for eating out recommendations and she replied very quickly and suggested the Selkirk Arms to us which didn't disappoint, it was delicious. The bathroom was clean and modern which is a theme that runs throughout the whole house. All in all a fantastic experience and I would definitely stay again. I wish Isa all the best for the future and the cottage deserves the high ratings it has received.

We had a wonderful holiday. The Boathouse was spacious, warm and comfortable with gorgeous views of the river from every window. Shops and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away. Kirkcudbright is such a charming town and the people we met were very friendly. We'd love to come back. Thanks Shona.

Audrey and family were lovely and met new puppy Ellie whk was a gem and entertaining. Welcomed with a cup of tea and chat. We has a large twin room at the front of the property but not too nousy. The room had a big tv and fresh water and grapes along with a set of towels. On the opposite side of landing was another kingsize room and the bathroom inbetween with a large walk in shower which was nicely decorated. Really liked that she gave us the use of her kitchen so that we did not have to eat out every night. As we ate at different times there was no awkwardness and Audrey made us feel at home. As we had great weather we had the use of her sun loungers in a lovely private sheltered garden. Just a note some chargers with chunky bits at the end of the plug may not fit into the sockets as they are so close to the floor. Only 5 minutes walk into the town and plenty of lovely walks to do from the doorstep. Would definately recommend and hope to be back again.

Audrey is an amazing host full of life and warm conversation. Their home is immaculate inside and out and boasts an impressive garden. You can find her house by driving down the road until you see the shrubbery out front!

Kirkcudbright is a delightful town to visit with lots going on in the way of Art Exhibitions and Events throughout the Summer. Audrey is very friendly and welcoming and her place is perfect. Would definitely go back there as a base to visit some of the other little towns and villages nearby. Highly recommended :)

We had a lovely stay at Audrey's place. Audrey is very kind and bubbly and gave us a warm welcome with tea and cake. Her house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lots of little details added to our stay, such as a water jug and fruit in the room, space in the fridge, and our own shower room. We enjoyed exploring Kirkcudbright. The house is nearby the centre and we enjoyed pottering around the art galleries, cafes and harbour. In the evening, it was a short walk to the Selkirk Pub where we ate the best fish and chips ever. Audrey has 2 guest rooms: a double room and a twin. We stayed in the twin. It was very clean and comfortable. In the morning it was nice to have breakfast in the kitchen with the warm aga and beautiful views of the garden and birds. A very warm and comfortable stay in a picturesque town. Definitely would stay again.

Jim's house is in a quiet location but close to many attractions including Kirkcudbrightshire, Castle Kennedy Gardens, Threave Castle and Broughton House to name a few. We had been travelling for several months before arriving at Roseville so were happy to enjoy this wonderful haven and made the most of this well equipped and beautifully furnished cottage. Would highly recommend.

Roseville is a peaceful, cosy cottage in an lovely little village. We very much enjoyed going for walks in the beautiful surroundings during the day, and then curling up by the fire in the evenings! The cottage was clean and comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen and everything we needed, as well as an impressive art collection! We did not manage to meet Jim and Susan as we arrived a bit late and let ourselves in, but they were both helpful and communicative by text. We'd love to come and stay again.

We loved this beautiful, well equipped and located cottage. The photos definitely undersell how pretty the cottage is both outside and in. This is one of the most comfortable cottages we've stayed in, with everything you could need for the stay and full of beautiful art and furniture. It's in a great location, just moments from the main A75 across Galloway and in a pretty village with a shop and small hotel (serving great gluten free food!). Even so it still feels private and peaceful. There were loads of things to do within easy reach and the cottage always provided us with a relaxing and comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day. The area is incredibly beautiful and felt amazingly peaceful. Steve was very helpful before our stay and there was lots of clear information about the cottage and the local area once we got there. We can thoroughly recommend a stay at Doon Cottage. Hopefully we'll be back ourselves at some point.

We had a great few days enjoying the comforts of this elegant and well equipped cottage. With a log fire for cooler evenings and a sunny garden for warm days - what more could you ask for? A great location for exploring Kirkcudbright, Threave, Wigtown as well as mountain biking for the more adventurous, it was ideal. Our host was welcoming friendly and kind and we felt relaxed about our booking from the outset.

We had a wonderful stay in the cheese loft which was well equiped and cosy. Elaine and Charlie were great, lots of tips and advice, warm and friendly and there when we needed. The farm is gorgeous and the property is perfectly positioned to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommended.

I had a really lovely time in Beautiful surroundings. I was really lucky to see Deer in the front garden. The Cheese Loft was spotless and joined to the owners home. We arrived when the Hosts were going on holiday but they left a lovely host in charge nothing was a bother to Phil he encouraged us to explore the area around the cheese loft.

Elaine and Charlie were fantastic hosts. Everything was as it was described, including having fresh eggs and four great dogs to greet you. The loft was clean, well appointed, and well stocked, and Elaine had sweets for us when we arrived. The location was beautiful, and we felt included in the everyday workings of the farm, including a round of sheep shearing. The location is perfect for sightseeing, and they have ample information about the local area, including a great book for walking/hiking. We definitely plan on returning to the loft in the future.

My parents and I had a wonderful stay. Martin met us on arrival and was very friendly and welcoming. The location is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed sitting in the lovely sun room and looking out at the wildflowers in the garden. It was excellent for a dog as the garden is properly fenced and you can go out walking straight from the door. We would love to stay here again. Many thanks to Martin and his wife.

We were given a very warm welcome to this lovely, very comfortable cottage which had everything we needed and more. A perfect place to relax and a great location for exploring the South Coast of Dumfries and Galloway which is beautiful. Would most definitely recommend.

The cottage and gardens offered a very peaceful holiday and we had a great time enjoying the surroundings when were not out exploring. It is definitely a perfect location if you have a dog, the garden was completed secure.

We had a wonderful time out and about around Kirkumbright and Castle Douglas we managed to see a lot. The girls caught crabs at the quay and managed to see deer and all kinds of other wildlife around the hills and attractions. The girls loved your garden and collected loads of acorns for "the squirrels back home" and loved looking at the flowers and the birds and the youngest loved sleeping in a "big bed" for the first time! We have made loads of wonderful memories and I thank you wholeheartedly for letting us share your beautiful piece of the world.

Our family had a lovely stay at Martin's lodge. The location is perfect with great walks at the doorsteps, curious cows and a little pond nearby. The lodge itself is well equipped, clean and welcoming. Very much recommended.
