“You will not be disappointed when you arrive at this accommodation, the photographs do not do it justice. It is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. We found it an ideal location for visiting Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and many more lovely places. The beaches are close by and are clean, quiet, with outstanding vistas. We had some lovely meals in the evening in nearby Berwick. A must see are the puffins which you can enjoy along with lots of other wildlife by taking a boat trip from Seahouses. We can highly recommend the Fish and Chips from there which are delicious.”

“Jacqui's cottage is like home from home I cannot recommend it enough. Its in a quite village with lovely walks down to the amazing beach and with so many great places to visit near by. the beds are so comfy the cottage is beautifully decorated with all the things you need and very warm in the mornings as it was the time of year when there was a chill in the air. Jacqui was always on hand if we needed to know anything. Jacqui has worked so hard to make this cottage such a welcome and she has others too under McLaren Cottages. You cannot go wrong staying in such a idyllic part of the county of Northumberland and its 70 miles of unspoilt coastline and sandy beaches. Thank you again Jacqui Andy and Dawn x”
Mona's Cottage is close to the beach, on the edge of a country village, family-friendly activities, and restaurants and dining. You’ll love Mona's place because of the luxurious calm interior and lovely garden, just outside the historic town of Berwick but close enough to easily enjoy its amenities.
“Had a lovely few days at Mona's Cottage with wife and baby. The little one's only a month old so we stayed in quite a lot, and this place was perfect for it - warm, homely and snug. The kitchen is nicely laid out for cooking and has a useful range of supplies, the wide, deep bath was very much enjoyed by my wife and overall it was a lovely place to stay. Jaqcui greeted us on arrival and was very warm and welcoming. The nearby Holy Island of Lindisfarne is somewhere I've always wanted to visit and it did not disappoint, a lovely place for a day out and unlike anywhere I've been before. Bad weather and a crying baby limited our outdoor adventures a little but we'd love to go back and explore the area more.”
