“This was a lovely place to stay. Relaxed, homely, cosy and quiet. The thoughtful touches from the host Helen, including having the fire lit ready for our arrival, were much appreciated . Only 25 minutes walk to the beach and 35 minutes walk to the Gosforth Hall Inn for their gorgeous pie and chips. The log burner was easy to use and kept the cabin lovely and toasty. Bathroom was also lovely and warm. It was great to wake up with the wonderful view from the big window and watch the birds have their breakfast as we ate ours. Would definitely return for another visit and explore the area a bit further.”

“An amazing little place in The Lakes. The house was warm upon arrival and access was very simple. The little touches of toiletries, use of the Wii games console and local information made for a great weekend away as we had both indoor and outdoor options, which in The Lakes you definitely need. We will return for another visit soon.”
Delightfully compact wooden cabin/summerhouse situated in quiet garden location with wonderful views. Perfect for experiencing the outdoor lifestyle but with some creature comforts such as log burning stove, kettle and toaster, radio and microwave, and area for preparing drinks & snacks. Our rooms are priced in line with local youth hostels and are considerably less expensive than other accommodation. Our non-provision of towels forms part of our effort to keep prices as low as possible.
“Great location for a secluded and intimate trip away. Great rural location (One morning saw deer at the end of the garden whilst we ate our breakfast!), Amenities of Keswick nearby and some lovely walks in your doorstep. Evy was a great host. Very welcoming and helpful with places to go and things to do. We especially appreciated her hospitality after my partner broke her arm whilst we were visiting. We were a little worried about the warmth of the hut as we were visiting in January, but we need not have worried. The mixture of the log burner, electric heater and electric blanket kept us very warm. Our only issue during our stay was braving the trip to the loo in the rain. If you don't mind that or have access to a decent umbrella I would recommend you stay with Evy.”
