Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Suomussalmi

Very nice cottage for a ski holiday and a top ski resort. We could fit (5 people) very comfortably in three bedrooms and the seating area and kitchen were big enough, as was the bathroom and sauna. The drying cabinet made it a lot easier to get outdoors. 2 toilets were really nice, as was the video viewing nook. The kitchen was really well stocked with dishes and everything you need, like a good selection of spices. It was a good thing because we cooked a lot, the restaurants in Syöte were the pizza burger department, except for the restaurants of both hotels (really good!). The semi-detached house is the last one on the street, and since the neighbor of House B wasn't there, we were really alone. The trails immediately left the backyard, and you could get to the ski track in a few minutes. The ski resort was a few minutes drive away, and I walk very accessible when there were no boots on. Very nice place! A couple of minus: the house wasn't completely clean, but it was expected when guests clean themselves, and recycling wasn't possible.

Nice place to spend a spring winter getaway! There was plenty of room, the apartment was very clean, and Markku responded quickly to messages. The apartment was also very well located at the end of a peaceful street and still within walking distance of the services. The playground was also right next door.

A spacious single-family home in a beautiful location on a hillside of danger on the edge of a farmhouse. A secluded location with a very peaceful place to stay. Very kind and responsive host. I'd love to stay in the same place again.

Our holiday in Lehtikerp was idyllic and we had a great time. It's like a hidden gem. The house, sauna building, and surrounding milieu were all unique, which brought a fabulous ambiance. Everything worked well, there was plenty of room for a larger group, and Kari was a great host. We can recommend Lehtikerppu to others in need of the Kainuu region as well. You won't go into this place with love!

It was a very pleasant stay. The full furniture made you feel right at home. The best thing about the accommodation was definitely the classic Finnish sauna in the basement. In addition, the kitchen was perfectly equipped for every hoby cook. It was extremely quiet the whole time and you had the opportunity to leave all the stress of everyday life behind you. All in all, this accommodation can only be recommended.

When we arrived, the house was already warm and welcoming, which we deeply appreciated. The location is also very convenient, with close proximity to larger cities like Rovaniemi, Oulu, and Kajaani. It’s also near ski resorts. Having sauna is amazing A short drive away, the town of Puolanka offers everything you might need. Additionally, there’s excellent connectivity in the area, so we had no issues accessing mobile internet during our stay. We highly recommend Esko’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Saana is a fantastic host - good communication throughout our stay, with lots of recommendations and really helpful answers to any questions. We used the property as a stop off for a night on the way to Martinselkonen. There are plenty of facilities at the lodge and a plentiful supply of blankets, spare boots, and a stocked up kitchen with essentials such as spices. We would love to stay here again and have more time to explore the area

A beautiful location, with fantastic hosts!

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa's place. Her place was very spacious - more than enough space for my wife and I - and based right next to a beautiful lake in a peaceful neighbourhood. We greatly appreciated the flexible check-in too. Everything was as described and in the photos. Would highly recommend! Thank you, Lisa!

We really enjoyed our stay at Justin's place. The house is very big with 5 bedrooms and a spacy living/dining room with a view to the lake. Beautiful fireplace and lots of wood available. Kitchen has everything you might need, and a restaurant very near. Skiing track on the lake. Thank you Justin!

Fabulous! 10/10!! We’ve stayed in a lot of AirBnB’s and this is in the top 10. Beautiful space in an amazing location. Can’t fault anything. Host was super responsive. Would love to spend more time here in the future.

The house is very dated. Nonetheless it is very welcoming and the surroundings are amazing. Plenty to do in the area, although you will need to drive around quite a bit. Anssi was always quick to reply and his dad was very helpful when we needed something. As already said, the house is old and possibly in need of some tlc, but it is cosy and overall comfortable. At this price point, it is very good value for money. Sauna was also great. Overall thumbs up and recommended if you want to explore Lapland.
