Family-friendly vacation rentals in Umbria

Andrea and Flavio were excellent hosts. The location is perfectly situated just outside the city gates. The parking on premises was very convenient and saved us a lot of money. The tub was perfect to give our little one a bath and the children’s park just a five-minute walk away was perfect to keep everyone happy as we would come and go in the city. I highly recommend this BNB to everyone, especially families.

Amazing stay, would highly recommend

Cala and Patrizias house is truly a hidden gem. It is an ideal location for a group trip/big family trip, as the spacious house has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, lounge groups, dining areas to seat many people, etc. We felt so safe and taken care of, as Patrizia responded quickly to all our questions and needs, and the caretaker Mario helped us with heating and so on upon request. I really hope I can return here some time, the surroundings were just so peaceful and beautiful, as are the house. We had dinner at the local restaurant (about 7-10 minutes walk) in the tiny village the house is located by one evening, which we recommend. A drink at Willy's bar afterwards should be mandatory. We can not recommend hiring chef Samulele (ask Patrizia to send his brochure) enough. He and his souz chef Katia made an amazing Italian dinner with wine-pairing at the villa. He also organized a trip to a local winery for us which was just perfect!

We had a perfect stay at Paola‘s apartment. It is very cosy , smart and quiet and it was easy to get to and from the centre. Check in was very easy. Facilities and amenities were excellent and everything worked perfectly. Wifi was good and we liked the work space as we needed to study some of the time. Shopping was easy at the nearby supermarket. Paola was very helpful and gave us good tips and was very welcoming. A charming host. Would definitely come back and we felt it was very good value for money.

Very nice Location only drawback was the parking in that area. And don’t recommend coming by car.

Beautiful views and Raffaele was a great host! It was off season so there wasn't much to do in the neighborhood but that was perfectly fine with me and the peacefulness was exactly what I wanted.

Very nice and clean appartment in a very quiet area. Only Met Gaston shortly since we were out all day visiting Tuscany with friends, But he was very Friendly. Will definitely come back

Where do I start? If you’re thinking of traveling to Orvieto, stay here. This is the most unique and charming Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Sylvia and Aldo made us feel like we were old friends coming to visit, welcoming us into their cozy family home and sharing with us their favorite restaurants, coffee shops, and gelaterias. Aldo picked us up and returned us to the train station; the fridge was stocked with yogurt, milk, juice, and butter; they left breakfast sweets for us and a bottle of wine. We loved reading about Sylvia’s father, Valentini, and enjoyed his artwork throughout the house. The beds were comfy, the kitchen is small but has what you need to cook. And Orvieto, ahhh, what a wonderful little town. We visited in August and there were many tourists but it didn’t feel crowded. We loved our stay and want to go back!

Good week in this house

We were there in the off-season and spent quiet days at the beautiful lake and in the old town worth seeing. The apartment is within walking distance, steeply rising above the lake in a quiet residential neighborhood. The lake views are fantastic. We loved staying in the lovingly designed privately used apartment, which gave us an insight into the local living conditions. Everything was in the best order. Our hosts were great. Although we didn't meet in person, we had very warm contact with them. They picked out valuable tips for our arrival and departure by public transport and provided us with many tips on good restaurants. Thank you for your support, Cristina and Enrico.

This was my favorite part of my trip to Italy. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. The beauty of this estate villa was amazing! The hosts felt like old friends right away. I feel so lucky to have the memories of my time here. I know exactly why other guests return year after year!!

Small apartment in a wonderful context, with a view of the hills around Assisi and a pool that we could not use because it was still cold. Inside as pictured, bathroom a little small but complete with everything and everything new including the bedroom furnishings and the kitchen. Great independent heating given the rainy and damp days. Roberta host present and responsive, recommended local restaurants and resolved a small issue in no time. I recommend it for those who want a quiet place outside the village, and with the Umbrian villages around Assisi at your fingertips! I would definitely go back.

Francesco's place is comfortable, spacious, and clean. The location is excellent, you are in the city center one step away from all the monuments, the rooms are clean, well organized and equipped with everything you need. Francesco was a wonderful host, always super responsive and available to help us. We hope to have more opportunities to stay at your wonderful Minerva guest house!

We really loved staying at Villa Della Stella as our base camp for a week exploring Tuscan towns. It was centrally located within 1 hour to all the recommended stops with fantastic restaurants in Montepulciano and Cortona, and an outlet shopping mall less than 30 mins away. Florence was an easy drive for a night. The apartment is well appointed, clean and comfortable and stays true to a rustic Tuscan farmhouse (not 5-star hotel but perfectly fine!). It’s a gorgeous villa and property and we are looking to stay again in the future with a large group and kids to utilize the pool etc. Chaira and team were friendly and responsive, and we really enjoyed the lunch and wine served right onsite. Highly recommend for a Tuscan get away!

We really enjoyed our stay at Marzia's place. The house was cosy and the area was breathtaking. Marzia is very friendly and communicates smoothly. She also likes to give extra information about the things you can do in the nearby villages. Thanks for the lovely stay. The Belgium girls

Antonio is a very nice host who always takes care of the house and his guests. The 4 apartments were very good and also convenient for our group vacation. Parking is more than enough on the property as cars are also mandatory to get to the house. Furthermore, the pool is very good and also very large. Enough space to have fun. Antonio came several times to clean the pool, which was very good. Other shade options such as umbrellas or another pavilion would be good, otherwise you have to take them with you beforehand.

Anna’s house is stunning and tucked away in such a beautiful quiet location. The people who take care of the house were kind and our two year old loved him. Would highly recommend anyone who wants a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of life to stay here.

The house is absolutely fantastic, nestled in the middle of olive trees with onbustructed views of the countryside and nobody else at sight! The house is cozy, familiar and everything is there to make you feel at home! Each room is spacious, clean and comfortable to enjoy magnificent Umbria! Flaminia is really helpful and Sergio’s occasional presence is very helpful! We seriously enjoyed our time at the house being a party of 6 with 2 kids! The garden and the swimming pool were absolutely superb! The overall experience was absolutely marvelous!

If you want to experience heaven on Earth, stay at this getaway in Spello. You will never open your doors onto a view like this anywhere else! The hot tub was a really nice bonus, and the house was very comfortable for our extended family. Barbara was so helpful, from planning our trip to answering questions during our stay as well as providing every amenity you could think of. We will always think fondly of our time here!

We spent Easter at Sabrinas place (4 adults and 2 children) there was plenty of space and the pool and the gardens were lovely. Sabrina cooked a wonderful meal for us too. The house is beautiful but some attention to detail would be needed for it to really stand out (decluttering and better cleaning)The kitchen is quite small but we mainly ate out. Belvedere pizzeria was great! There are many cats around which our children loved and the owners dogs visit too.

Veerle's place is truly spectacular. It beautifully combines the charm of a traditional Umbrian country house—with vaulted ceilings and a grand fireplace—with functional spaces that cater to all your needs. We stayed in the house during winter, and I can only imagine how stunning and peaceful it must be in the warmer months when the pool is open. The house is easily accessible via an asphalt road, and shops and convenience stores are just a short drive away. We strongly recommend this place and we will be back!
